Circular Tibial Tuberosity Advancement for Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture in a Dog

A 8-year-old, intact female, 2.1 kg, yorkshire terrier dog was referred to Animal Medical Center, Chonbuk National University due to right hindlimb lameness. Orthopedic examinations revealed pain during extension and flexion on stifle joint, positive cranial drawer sign, positive tibial compression test and patella luxation. Radiography showed the cranial displacement of right tibia with mildly increasing the synovial volume. The surgical procedure involved radial osteotomy of the proximal tibia and fixation by 1.2 T-locking plate. At two weeks after surgery, the patient was able to weight-bearing and gait gradually improved. This case report describes circular Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (cTTA) surgical technique and the successful surgical repair of cranial cruciate ligament rupture a dog.

Heart sound contains rich information regarding the dynamics of the heart and the auscultation has been a first choice of routine procedures for diagnosis of the heart. However, heart sounds captured using a conventional stethoscope are not often loud or clear enough for doctors to precisely classify their characteristics, especially, under the noisy environments of the hospital. A simple auscultation device that removed shortcomings of the conventional stethoscope was constructed in the study. The device employed a polymer based adherent differential output sensor which was on contact with skin through a coupling medium and appropriated electronic circuits for signal amplification and conditioning An ordinary headphone is taken to hear the captured heart sounds and the volume can be adjusted to hear well. It is also possible that the device sends the captured heart sound signals to a PC where the signals are further processed and viualized.

치환기를 가진 benzaldehyde oxime의 감미성에 영향을 미치는 구조적인 특징을 연구하기 위하여 다수의 benzaldehyde로 부터 syn-oxime을 만들고 이들의 상대적 감미도를 측정하였다. 벤젠핵의 ortho혹은 meta위치에 치환기를 가진 화합물들은 감미성을 소실 하였다. 이 계열화합물들의 상대적 감미도는 para치환기의 hydrophobicity에 의하여 크게 좌우되며 전자공여 능력에 의해서도 다소 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

최근 발생하고 있는 보안 사고는 인간의 심리적 요소가 결합된 사회공학 취약점에 기인하고 있다. 그러나 국내의 ISMS, PIMS와 같은 정보보호 프레임워크는 관리적·물리적·기술적 관점에서 각각 적용되므로, 다양하고 복잡한 사회공학 취약점을 진단하기에는 어려움이 있다. 또한 인터뷰나 체크리스트 등을 이용한 기존의 점검 방식은 시간적, 공간적 제약으로 인하여 정보수집 및 적용 범위가 제한적이며 진단이 형식적으로 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사회공학 기법에 의한 취약점을 점검할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제시하고 그에 기반 한 자동화 도구를 제안한다.
Li-ion 배터리 충/방전 시스템의 안정적 운영에 관한 연구

When the operation of battery is converted at charging and discharging system based on a DC micro grid, the voltage is fluctuated. And excessive voltage fluctuation could cause damage or failure of charging and discharging equipment. Therefore, in this paper, we studied the operating schedule of the charging and discharging system based on the DC micro grid and a design point of the capacitor which was able to reduce the voltage fluctuation. A result of computer simulation showed that when a fluctuation-reducing capacitor which had an initial value of 600V/35mF was applied at the charging and discharging system based on a DC micro grid which was operated with three charging battery sets and five discharging battery sets, voltage fluctuation by charging and discharging operation was reduced by about 63.3%. Furthermore, voltage fluctuation which occurred when initial network voltage was stabilized was reduced by about 73%. DC μ-Grid 기반의 충/방전 시스템에서 배터리의 동작 변환 시, 망 전압의 fluctuation이 발생하게 되며, 과다한 fluctuation은 충/방전 시스템의 손상 및 고장을 일으킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DC μ-Grid 기반의 충/방전 시스템에서 fluctuation 완화용 커패시터의 적용 및 설계 포인트에 대하여 연구하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과, 3개의 충전 배터리 set와 5개의 방전 배터리 set의 조건으로 운영되는 DC μ-Grid 기반 충/방전 시스템에서 600V/35mF의 초기 값을 갖는 fluctuation 완화용 커패시터를 적용하였을 때 충/방전에 의한 fluctuation을 약 66.3% 감소시킬 수 있었으며, 추가적으로 초기 망 전압 안정화 시 발생하는 fluctuation 또한 약 73% 감소시킬 수 있었다.
