Rats and mice are commonly used in experimental laboratories and anesthetic drugs are important for researchers to understand the details. Administration of fluids helps to stabilize the experimental animals before anesthesia via intravenously through the lateral vein in rats and in case of difficulty in catheterization and maintenance, fluids are usually administered as boluses. Large volumes of cool fluids will rapidly lead to hypothermia and all parenteral fluids must be warmed to body temperature before administration. Premedication with a sedative may ease induction with volatile anesthetic drugs. The first choice for rodent anesthesia is complete inhalational anesthesia. The second option is using injectable anesthesia. Recovery from the volatile agents that have been used rapid when the agent is no longer administered. Anesthetic monitoring equipment is an infant-size bell sthethoscope that can be used to ausculate the heart and lungs. Supplemental heating should be provided to reduce the heat loss supply and maintain core body temperature. The kinds of drugs, characteristics, route of administration and care after surgery were reviewed and summarized from the references. Anesthetic drugs, maintenance, monitoring and aftercare are important in the laboratories to keep the animal safe in all experimental procedures.

The influence of sulfate on the selective catalytic reduction of $NO_x$ on the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was studied when $CH_4$ was used as a reducing agent. Various preparation methods influenced differently on the $deNO_x$ activity. Among the methods, cogelation precipitation gave best activity. When sulfates were formed on the surfaces of samples prepared by impregnated and deposition precipitation, $deNO_x$ activity was enhanced as long as suitable forming condition is satisfied. The major sulfate formed in Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst was the aluminum sulfate and it seems that this sulfate acted as a promoter. When Mg was added to the Ag/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst it promoted $deNO_x$ activity at high temperature. Intentionally added sulfate also enhanced $deNO_x$ activity, when their amount was confined less than 3 wt%.

적색 K2SiF6:Mn4+ 형광체는 SiO2 in/HF/KMnO4H2O solution 용액의 산화환원 반응에 의해 합성된다. 이 형광체 는 450 nm 이하의 파장에서 여기되어 Mn4+의 2Eg → 4A2g에 의해 반치폭이 10 nm인 약 634 nm의 적색 빛을 발광한다. 입자의 크기는 약 5 ㎛이고 결정구조는 Fm-3m (225)의 공간군을 가지는 입방정계이다 (JCPDS85-1382). 온도의존 발광 스펙트럼에서는 약 175 ℃에서의 발광강도가 상온에서보다 66 %까지 감소하였다. 이 형광체는 청색 발광을 하는 InGaN LED에 의해 효과적으로 여기 될 수 있어서 녹색이나 황색 형광체와 함께 사용하여 연색지수가 높은 백색 LED를 만들 수 있다. Deep-red K2SiF6:Mn4+ phosphor was synthesized by are doxreaction of SiO2 in/HF/KMnO4H2O solution. Under the 450 nm excitation, it shows an arrow deep-red emitting around 634 nm which is attributed to the 2Eg to 4A2g transition of Mn4+ ion with the halfwidth of 10nm. Its size was approximately 5 ㎛. It has a single phase of cubic structure with a space group of Fm-3m (225) with JCPDS # 85-1382. In the temperature dependence of emission spectra, their intensities decrease to 66 % of that at room temperature is about 175 ℃. These phosphors can be efficiently excited by the blue light‑emitting InGaN diode and provides a high color rendering property with green or yellow phosphors.
Characterization of Thermo-sensitive ELP-liposome Complexes According to the Conjugation Manner

Elastin-like polypeptides (ELPs) are thermoresponsive protein-based biopolymers that exhibit phase transition behavior. By conjugating them to the liposome surface, temperature-sensitive ELP-liposome complexes were generated in order to use them as chemotherapeutic agents. In this study, five different ELP-liposome complexes, consisted of three multiple-conjugates and two singleconjugates, were created, and their thermal properties were investigated according to the conjugation manner and ELP length. In addition, changes in the drug release rate from these ELP-liposome complexes caused by variations in both the lysine content and length of ELPs were explored as well.

On the precipitation and ripening reaction of the precipitates from a lead nitrate and an oxalic acid dissolved in ethanol, a new crystalline phase was obtained, whose X-ray diffraction data have not previously been reported. The crystal system was determined to be monoclinic. The unit-cell parameters were refined to a =10.613(2)Å, b =7.947(2)Å, c =6.189(1)Å, and β =104.48(2)°.
Ti₂O₂(C₂O₄)(OH)₂ㆍH₂O의 제조 및 특성평가

During studies of the ripening reaction of titanium oxalate, a new crystalline phase has been found. The crystal system was determined to be orthormbic with space group C222₁. The unit cell parameters were refined to a=10.503(2)Å b=15.509(3)Å c=9.700(1)Å. The chemical formula of the crystal Ti₂O₂(C₂O₄)(OH)₂ㆍH₂O. When heated to temperatures between 310℃ and 380℃, the material became amorphous. Heated above 410℃ converted it into the anatase-type titanium dioxide.
