Phase Rotation 방지를 위한 Carrier Recovery Loop의 설계

변조된 Passband 신호의 동기 검파 방식의 복조(Coherent Demodulation)에서 대부분의 수신 신호 decision에서 나타나는 실제적인 문제는 그 성상도가 회전하는 경우이다. 일단 성상도가 회전하는 경우이다. 일단 성상도가 회전하게 되면 수신단에서는 유효한 성상도와 구별해 낼 수 있는 방법이 없다. 그러나 수신기는 회전된 성상도에 의해 수신된 위상을 결정하므로 이러한 문제를 극복해 낼 수 없다면 그 결과는 계속되는 에러로 나타나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 QPSK 복조기에서의 주파수 옵셋과 위상 오차를 극복하기 위한 Carrier Recovery Loop에 대해서 살펴보고 나서 위상 Rotation을 방지하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다. 검출된 위상 오차를 주파수 옵셋 교정에 선별적으로 적용함으로써 Phase rotation의 발생을 줄일 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제시한 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다. Phase rotational is a practical problem in the implementation of coherent demodulation. Large phase noise may intorduce phase rotation in the demodulator which results in repeated decision errors. This paper presents a simple and yet very efficient technique in building a carrier recovery loop which minimizes the phase rotation by improving the stability of the decision-directed carrier recovery loop. Simulation shows this novel technique improves the performance of the carrier recovery loop as well as stability.

법정영화의 유형적 고찰 - 핵심주제별 유형을 중심으로 -

이성적 인간을 강조하는 법학과 감성적 인간을 그리고 있는 영화예술을 결합시킴으로써 이성과 감성의 조화로운 복합체인 인간을 균형있게 나타낼 수 있는 것이 바로 법정영화이며, 이러한 융합적 사고의 바탕 위에서 강한 대중성과 흡입력을 지닌 영화 미디어가 법학수업에 많은 도움이 된다는 것은 다언을 요하지 않는다. 그런데 법정영화의 구체적인 주제들을 제대로 밝히는 작업은 법정영화와 기타 영화의 애매한 경계를 밝히는데 결정적인 역할을 하며, 이러한 작업을 위해 먼저 선행되어야 할 일은 핵심주제별 유형으로 법정영화를 분류하는 것이다. 단순주제별 나열 속에서 법정영화들을 살펴보는 것 또한 의미가 있지만, 유형별 분류를 전제로 고찰하는 것이 법정영화의 전체적인 체계를 구축하는데 더 도움이 된다. 위와 같은 목적 하에 다음과 같이 법정영화의 핵심주제별 유형을 3가지로 생각해 볼 수 있다. 아래의 유형 가운데 ①번과 ②번은 서로 다른 방향으로 법적 正義를 생각하게 하며, ③번은 법의 형식성 등 이성적 규범인 법이 가지는 고유한 속성의 문제와 관련된다. ① 사회적 강자 내지 기존의 고정관념 및 편견에 대한 법적 저항에서 느끼는 승리의 카타르시스(catharsis) [예를 들어,「아미스타드」(Amistad, 1997년, 미국),「에밀 졸라의 생애」(The Life of Emile Zola, 1937년, 미국),「에린 브로코비치」(Erin Brockovich, 2000년, 미국),「피고인」(The Accused, 1988년, 미국),「에블린」(Evelyn, 2002년, 미국, 독일, 아일랜드, 네덜란드, 영국),「생과부 위자료 청구 소송」(Bedroom and Courtroom, 1998년, 한국),「34번가의 기적」(Miracle on 34th Street, 1994년, 미국),「12인의 성난 사람들」(12 Angry Men, 1957년, 미국) 등] ② 현실의 문제를 해결할 수 없는 법의 한계에 관한 사회적 자성 [예를 들어,「변호인」(The Attorney, 2013년, 한국),「그래도 내가 하지 않았어」(それでもボクはやってない, I Just Didn`t Do It, 2006년, 일본), 「데블스 애드버킷」(The Devil`s Advocate, 1997년, 미국),「7번방의 선물」(Miracle in Cell No.7, 2012년, 한국) 등] ③ 법적 고뇌 내지 난제를 공유 [예를 들어,「룰스 오브 인게이지먼트」(Rules of Engagement, 2000년, 미국),「프라이멀 피어」(Primal Fear, 1996년, 미국),「이태원 살인사건」(Where the Truth Lies, 2009년, 한국),「더블 크라임」(Double Jeopardy, 1999년, 미국, 캐나다, 독일), 「뉘른베르크」(Nuremberg, 2000년, 캐나다, 미국) 등] 위와 같은 작업을 통해서 우리는 개별 법정영화들의 단순한 합인 `나무들`이 아니라 핵심주제별 유형구분 하에서의 전체적인 `숲`을 파악할 수 있으며, 법정영화가 교양법학의 한 분야로서 흥미와 힐링을 제공하는 장점을 배가시킬 수 있다. There are many court movies we can communicate legal intelligence easily and interestingly through. On the other hand, as far as `Homo Juris` is concerned, a court movie is a significant method of healing. However, the conception of a `court movie` is some vague, and this is related with the range of court movies. Therefore we need to categorize them into some types, which help us understand their whole system. In this point, we can categorize them into 3 types below. ① Dramatic catharsis caused by legal victory based on human rationality [For example,「Amistad」(1997),「The Life of Emile Zola」 (1937),「Erin Brockovich」(2000),「The Accused」(1988),「Evelyn」 (2002),「Bedroom and Courtroom」(1998, Korea),「Miracle on 34th Street 」(1994),「12 Angry Men (1957), etc.] ② Social reflection caused by the legal limitation which we can not overcome against unjust authority [For example,「The Attorney」(2013, Korea),「I Just Didn`t Do It」(2006, Japan),「The Devil`s Advocate」 (1997),「Miracle in Cell No.7」(2012), etc.] ③ Sharing and Researching legal problems which are not difficult to solve [For example,「Rules of Engagement」(2000),「Primal Fear」(1996), 「Where the Truth Lies」(2009, Korea),「Double Jeopardy」(1999), 「Nuremberg」(2000), etc.] While watching the 1st type of court movies, we can feel satisfied with legal victory or have a dream of becoming jurists, the 2nd type makes us disappointed at this world. But on the contrary the 2nd type give us strong message that we should strive to achieve a better society, reflecting on the unjust social situation. The 3rd type trains us to bear strong legal minds by solving difficult problems caused by law, and makes us very interested in jurisprudence. It is concluded that we come to see a `wood` of whole system of court movies, not `trees` of their simple sum, by categorizing them into 3 types.

딥러닝 기반의 IMU 센서 데이터를 활용한 운동 분류 및 횟수 예측 연구

웨이트 트레이닝을 통해 운동 수행능력을 성장시키기 위해서는 운동 별로 세트 수와 반복 횟수를 기록해두는 것이 중요하다. 이를 자동화하기 위해 귀에 착용하는 히어러블(hearable) 장치 내에 내장된 IMU 센서를 통해 사용자의 운동 데이터를 수집하고 이를 활용하여 운동 종목과 반복횟수를 예측하는 딥러닝 기반의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 인공 신경망 모델은 2D 합성곱 신경망(CNN)을 활용하며 학습 성능을 극대화하기 위하여 취득된 센서 데이터의 주파수 및 내재적 특징을 고려하여 여러 시계열 데이터 증강 기법을 적용하여 학습 데이터를 증강한다. 실험을 통해 각 데이터 증강 기법이 운동 분류 예측 및 횟수 예측에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 최종적으로 모든 데이터 증강 기법이 활용되었을 때의 성능을 소개한다.

특별기고 : 법정드라마를 이용한 법학교육 -드라마 “너의 목소리가 들려”를 중심으로-

Legal education is the education for individuals who intend to become legal professionals or those who simply intend to learn legal knowledge. Almost law professors always think about the efficient methods of legal education, because laws are very difficult to understand. In this situation, conventional methods of legal education (including theory-oriented teaching and case-oriented teaching) need to be changed in modern complex society. Therefore, concerning the new approaches to the methods of legal education, I suggest the legal education where TV court dramas are used. Concretely in this semester I have used ‘I can hear your voice’, together with the related court movies (including ‘12 Angry Men’, ‘Liar Liar’, ‘Itaewon Murder Case’, ‘Double Jeopardy’ etc.), which is the 2013 korean SBS TV drama featuring several cases handled in courts. Legally analyzing this drama, I dealt with several legal points, which are included in following cases. 1. Case of attempted murder of Dong Hee Moon, from which we learn the legal formality. 2. Twin`s murder case, which is related with prisoner`s dilemma. 3. Case of Dae Song Lee`s larceny, in which we treat the problem of ‘crime and relationship’. 4. Murder case of Chun Shim Euh, from which we learn the ‘rule of assumption of innocence’ can be abused. 5. Left hand murder case, from which we learn the rule of assumption is very important in the light of human rights. 6. Case of attempted murder of the ghost, where we wonder if the ‘rule of not reopening a settled case’(which is similar with the ‘rule of prohibition against double jeopardy’) can be applied. Especially I consider this case as containing very heavy legal points, even though it does not belong to this drama`s main stream, because it has very strongly debatable legal points, which are even related with legal philosophy. In this case I suggested the theory of ‘the relative legal death’ caused by normative power. Although the above method of using a court drama has some defects (including unreality etc.), I think that is a new method of improving the legal education, as it causes the students strong learning motivation which is of much importance in modern pedagogy.
