울릉도 수계의 부착규조군집의 계절적 변이와 DAIpo에 의한 수질평가

We investigated the variations of epilithic diatom community and assessed water quality of the water system of Ulleung Island by DAIpo in April, May, July, August, October, and November of 2003, and January and February of 2004. Samples were collected from four sampling stations. Total 95 taxa were identified from this study and dominant species were Nitzschia inconspicua, Achnanthes minutissima, Gomphonema angustum and Cocconeis placentula var. lineata. The variation of DAIpo values was ranged from 51.14 to 77.77 and the water quality by DAIpo was estimated between α--oligosaprobic and β--oligosaprobic states. 울릉도 수계의 부착규조군집의 계절적 변이와 DAIpo에 의한 수질평가를 조사하였다. 채집은 2003 년 4월, 5월, 7월, 8월, 10월과 11월 그리고 2004년 1월과 2월에 4개의 정점에서 채집하였다. 총 95 분류군이 동정되었으며 우점종들은 Nitzschia inconspicua, Achnanthes minutissima, Gomphonema angustum과 Cocconeis placentula var. lineata였다. DAIpo는 51.15에서 77.77의 범위였고 울릉도 수계의 수질은 α-빈부수성에서 β-빈부수성이었다.
낙동강 상류 수계에서 부착돌말류를 이용한 생물학적 수질 평가

This study assessed biological water quality using epilithic diatoms in the Yeong river, Naeseong stream and Wi stream in the upper region of the Nakdong river from May to October 2016. Epilithic diatoms were not mobile, so they could reflect long-term water quality. The sampled epilithic diatoms were identified a total 158 taxa which were composed to 2 orders, 3 suborders, 8 families, 34 genera, 143 species and 15 varieties. Dominant species were Achnanthes convergens and Achnanthes minutissima at Yeong river, Nitzschia inconspicua at Naeseong stream, and Achnanthes minutissima, Cocconeis placentula var. lineata and Navicula minima at Wi stream. As a result of the CCA, Electrical conductivity, total nitrogen and total phosphorus were important factors determining the diatom species composition in the upper region of the Nakdong river. The correlation between diatom indices (DAIpo & TDI) measured to be high in the correlation coefficient (0.87) from the result of correlation analysis. In the result of the assessment of biological water quality using DAIpo and TDI, Yeong river was rated as class A at most sites. Naeseong stream was rated as class C to D at all sites except for N1 which was rated as Class A. Wi stream was rated as class B to C for DAIpo of W1, and TDI was rated as class D. The assessment of biological water quality at this site showed inferior TDI result compared to that of DAIpo. DAIpo and TDI of W2 were rated as class A to D, and the water quality has changed a lot. W3 and W4 were mostly rated as class B and C respectively. 낙동강 상류 수계에 위치한 영강, 내성천과 위천을 대상으로 2016년 5월부터 10월까지 부착돌말류를 이용한 생물학적 수질 평가를 하였다. 부착돌말류는 이동성이 없어 장기적인 수질상태를 반영할 수 있다. 채집된 부착돌말류는 총 158 분류군으로 2목 3아목 8과 34속 143종 15변종으로 구성되어 있다. 영강은 Achnanthes convergens 와 Achnanthes minutissima, 내성천은 Nitzschia inconspicua, 위천은 Achnanthes minutissima, Cocconeis placentula var. lineata와 Navicula minima가 우점하였다. CCA 분석 결과, 낙동강 상류 수계에서는 전기전도도, 총인과 총질소가 부착돌말류의 종조성에 중요한 요인들로 나타났다. 상관분석 결과, 부착돌말지수들(DAIpo 와 TDI)은 서로 높은 상관성(0.87)을 보였다. 부착돌말지수(DAIpo와 TDI)를 이용한 생물학적 수질평가 결과, 영강은 대부분의 지점에서 A등급으로 평가되었다. 내성천은 A등급으로 평가된 N1을 제외한 모든 지점에서 C~D등급으로 평가되었다. 위천은 W1의 DAIpo가 B~C등급이나 TDI는 D등급으로 평가되어, 이 지점의 생물학적 수질 평가는 DAIpo보다 TDI의 결과가 더 불량한 것으로 나타났다. W2의 DAIpo와 TDI는 A~D등급으로 수질의 변화가 심하였다. W3와 W4의 DAIpo와 TDI는 대부분 B와 C등급으로 각각 평가되었다.
밀양강의 (密陽江) 부착규조 (附着硅藻) 군집 (群集) 분석

To investigate the community of the epilithic diatoms from the Milyang River, the samples were collected from ten sampling stations on March 15, June 13, September 12 and December 19 in 1991. A total of 169 diatom taxa were identified. More species appeared in the downstream of the river than in the upstream. The index of species diversity, evenness and dominance did not change with a continuous regularity by sampling season and station. The epilithic diatom community could be divided as mainly two groups by cluster analysis: the first group from station 1 to 5 was dominated by Achnanthes convergens and Fragilaria vaucheriae, the second from station 6 to 9 was dominated by Achnanthes minutissima and Nitzschia frustulum. According to degree of tolerance to organic water pollution, total 169 taxa were classified as 28 saproxenous taxa, 124 indifferent taxa and 17 saprophilous taxa.

The water quality of the Sinchun river was assessed by Diatom Assemblage Index to organic water pollution(DAIpo) on May 29 in 1991. Total 96 taxa consisted of 14 saprophilous taxa, 61 indifferent taxa and 21 saproxenous taxa were identified in this study. Dominant species were Fragilaria vaucheriae at st.1, Gomphonema angustum at st.2, Nitzschia gracilis at st.3, Navicula pellicolosa at st.6 and Nitzschia palea at st.4, 5, 7, 8, and 9. Cymbella minuta and Synedra ulna were occurred at all stations. DAIpo values decreased rapidly as going to lower course of this river and the highest DAIpo was 79.84 at st. 1 and the lowest was 2.31 at st. 9. The variation of DAIpo was nearly the reverse tendency with electric conductivity. The saprobic levels at each station of the Sinchun river were α-oligosaprobic at st. 1, 2, 3, β-mesosaprobic at st. 4 and polysaprobic at st.5,6,7,8,9. The water quality of the Sinchun river was more severely polluted than that of 1984.
낙동강 상류 수계인 내성천의 부착돌말 군집과 부착돌말지수를 이용한 생물학적 수질평가

The aims of this study were to analyze the physico-chemical factors and the characteristics of epilithic diatom community from 15 sites of the Naeseongcheon and tributaries located in the upper region of the Nakdong river from May to October 2016. The biological water quality was assessed using DAIpo and TDI. A total of 163 diatom taxa were identified with 2 orders, 3 suborders, 9 families, 35 genera, 145 species, 16 varieties and 2 forms. Cocconeis placentula var. lineata appeared at every examined sites. Achnanthes lanceolata, Nitzschia fonticola, Nitzschia inconspicua and Reimeria sinuata were common taxa of the Naeseongcheon. Nitzschia inconspicua and Achnanthes minutissima were major dominant species. As a result of the CCA, Electrical conductivity and total nitrogen concentration were important factors determining the diatom species composition. In the result of the biological assessment using DAIpo, the Naeseongcheon was rated at class B with an average of 62.38. In the result of assessment using TDI, the Naeseongcheon was rated at class C with an average of 66.12.
