Cisplatin의 세포독성에 대한 레몬밤 추출물의 억제 효과

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the protective effect of Lemon balm (Mellisa officinalis) extract on the cytotoxicity induced by cisplatin, pharmaceutic alopecia inducer. To achieve this, cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity was assessed by XTT assay after human skin fibroblasts (Detroit 551) were cultured in media containing various concentrations of cisplatin. And also, the effect of vitamin E was examined on the cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity. For the protective effect of Lemon balm extract on cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity, Detroit 551 cells were pretreated with 80 or 100 μg/mL of Lemon balm extract for 2 hours, and also, antioxidative effects of Lemon balm extract such as 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)-radical scavenging activity and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity were analysed. The results were as follows. Cisplatin showed a significant decrease of cell viability in dose dependently, and the XTT50 value was calculated at 25.7 μM. In the effect of vitamin E, it significantly increased cell viability which were decreased by the cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity. In the protective effect of Lemon balm extract on cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity, it significantly increased cell viability which was decreased by cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity, and also it showed the DPPH-radical scavenging activity and LDH inhibitory activity. Therefore, these results suggested that the cytotoxicity of cisplatin may be involved in oxidative stress, and also, Lemon balm extract effectively prevented the cytotoxicity induced by cisplatin via antioxidative effect. Conclusively, the natural extract like Lemon balm may be useful for the development as antioxidative agent via the prevention of the cytotoxicity induced by pharmaceutic alopesia inducer correlated with oxidative stress.

To examine the antioxidative effect of the extract from Chamaecyporis obtusa leaves (COL) on cultured human skinfibroblasts (Detroit 551) damaged by reactive oxygen species (ROS), the cell viability, electron donating ability (EDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity and inhibitory activity of lipid peroxidation were measured by colorimetricassay. Cultured Detroit 551 cells were treated with media containing 20~40 mU/mL glucose oxidase (GO) for 4 hours. Study results indicated that GO significantly decreased cell viability as compared to controls, and that the XTT50 valuewas 35.1 mU/mL of GO. Regarding the antioxidative effect of the COL extract, EDA, SOD-like activity, and theinhibitory activity of lipid peroxidation were all demonstrated. These findings suggested that COL extract was effectivein protecting against GO-induced cytotoxicity via its antioxidative activity, and that COL extract may be a putativeresource for the treatment of ROS-mediated diseases such as skin pigmentation irregularities and atopic dermatitis.

This study aims to evaluate the antioxidative effect and the detoxic effect of Salicornia herbacea L. (SH) extract. For the examining of antioxidative effect on SH extract, the cell viability of freeze-dried SH (FSH) extract or cold-dried SH (CSH) extract was measured after the cultured human skin fibroblasts (Detroit 551) were pretreated with SH extract for 2 hours before the treatment of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and also the inhibitory activity of lipid peroxidation was assessed. In the detoxic effect of SH extract, the cell viability was measured by colorimetric assay after Detroit 551 cells were pretreated with FSH extract or CSH extract before the treatment of H2O2. In this study, H2O2 significantly decreased cell viability in dose-dependently and the XTT90 and XTT50 values were determined at 15 μM and 40 μM of H2O2, respectively. In the protective effect of FSH extract against H2O2-treated group, FSH extract significantly increased cell viability, compared with H2O2-treated group, and also FSH extract showed the inhibitory activity of lipid peroxidation. While, in the detoxic effect of SH extract, FSH extract significantly increase cell viability which were decreased by methylmercuric chloride (MMC)-induced cytotoxicity, but CSH extract did not show any protective effect. From these results, it is suggested that H2O2 was highly toxic and SH extract such as FSH extract was effective in the prevention of H2O2- or MMCinduced cytotoxicity by antioxidative effect or detoxic effect. Conclusively, FS extract may be a useful agent for the beauty materials by the protective effect on a bleaching agent, H2O2 or the heavy metal as the pigment of color make-up product
국내 화장품 앱의 GUI 요소에 관한 사례분석 연구 :아모레퍼시픽과 엘지생활건강 모바일 브랜드 앱을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to analyze the graphical user interface (GUI) of the mobile brand apps, which have the best sales and production results in the K beauty industry. This study will also provide basic data needed for SMEs and start-ups to produce brand apps, and will present directions for their developments. Firstly, the current status of the domestic cosmetics industry, K-Beauty industry, and previous studies on beauty mobile apps were reviewed. Next, the GUI elements of two leading apps were analyzed. Through reviewing the preceding articles, Launcher Icon, Lay Out and Menu Composition, Typography, and Color were selected for analysis tools. And lastly the characteristics of the two cosmetic apps were compared and analyzed by these factors. The results of analysis are as follows: The launcher icon symbolizes the brand s unique image and represents the app s identity. Layout & Menu Composition shows excellent intuitiveness and readability which can be easily accessed by the user. The analysis of the typography shows that Sans-serif style is used in the menu font aiming at information transfer. This is the evidence that the two brand apps are focusing on readability more than aesthetics. Color conveys the brand identity well and the same color system is adapted to create unity. This study will be helpful in developing brand apps for small businesses or start-ups as well as large companies.
백서의 신경병증성 통증모델의 척수감각신경세포에 대한 NMDA 수용체 길항제 및 NOS 억제제의 영향

N/A Background: In order to evaluate the effect of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist D-2-amino-5-phosphonovaleric acid (APV), nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, and aminoguanidine (AGH) on rat spinal sensory neurons from the neuropathic pain animal model. Methods: Cell viability, amount of neurofilament by immunocytochemistry, and rate of protein synthesis were measured after spinal motor neurons of rats were incubated with various concentrations of APV or AGH for 48 hours. Results: Cell viability of spinal sensory neurons from the neuropathic pain model was remarkably decreased compared with the control. Regarding their protective effect, both APV and AGH significantly increased cell viability, amount of neurofilament and rate of protein synthesis, compared to experimental groups with untreated APV or AGH in spinal sensory neurons. Conclusions: The present study suggests that NMDA receptor, reactive nitrogen species (RNS), and No are involved in neuropathic pain.
