Field robots are used in various fields, such as agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, and construction; their use has recently expanded to include submarine areas. Field robots can aid in various tasks, such as soil transport, ground clearance, and dismantling of buildings. As field robots are used in a variety of different areas, the difficulty of the work is also quite varied. Increased difficulty is associated with an increased risk of accidents involving the field robot. In order to reduce the accident rate of field robot workers, the need for digitalization and automation of field robots is becoming more of an issue. To this end, it is necessary to study a system that enables workers to do their work without directly contacting a field robot. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce a control system for wireless remote control of a small field robot. The field robot can be wirelessly controlled by a worker in a remote location if the worker cannot be present at the work site. The implemented remote system is tested according to the type of work, and the operating characteristics of the remote system are assessed.

The history of medicine has a strong correlation to the ancient development of epidemics. Although the study of the history of East Asian Traditional Medicine does not put much emphasis in understanding the flow of medical history in relation to epidemics, it largely impacted the development of this epidemic and the compilation and evolution of treatment methods. The same was true for Korea as they linked development of epidemics, unusual natural conditions. and social phenomenons from ancient documents. This study methodically classifies the epidemics mentioned in 『三國史記』 and concludes on how ancient Koreans understood epidemics.

The quality of public services is considered important in cities, as the citizens desire to enhance their quality of life. Urban parks, in particular, are at the center of attention as space for mitigating social alienation. In this stance, this study evaluated the usage range of urban neighborhood park in Seoul that the effective distance of urban neighborhood park is not specified by the law. Among the urban neighborhood parks in Seoul, the 55 parks without entry cost were chosen for the analysis. The chosen parks were categorized by conducting cluster analysis. As a result, 6 parks (Sunyudo, Yeouido, Hyochang, Seoul Forest, Citizen’s Forest and Ohdong Park) were selected as the targets of the analysis. Park visitors were surveyed to collect their travel distance to the park as mwell as their personal attributes. Resultingly, the 6 target parks could be divided into 3 groups: parks with relatively smaller usage range (group 1), parks with relatively greater usage range (group 3) and parks with medium usage range (group 2). Considering parks with varied characteristics, as a single category could seem problematic, some change in the classification of urban neighborhood parks might be required.
송신국 파라미터를 이용한 ITU-R Rec. P.1546-3 전파예측 모델 시뮬레이터 설계

국제전기통신연합(ITU)은 ITU-R을 통해 현재 많은 서비스가 이루어지고 있는 방송 및 통신 분야에서 다양한 전파 환경에 적용할 수 있는 각각의 예측 모델을 권고하고 있다. 각 전파예측모델은 예상되는 많은 채널환경의 차이를 보완하기 위한 절차를 통해 수정되며, 전파예측 판단을 위한 평가 기준으로 준비된다. 본 연구에서는 방송 환경에 적합한 점대 영역(Point-to-Area) 모델, ITU-R Rec. P.1546-3에서, 송신국 스펙이 고려되어 있지 않은 파라미터를 보충함으로써, 각 송신국에서의 요소를 고려한 실질적인 전파 예측 모델의 구현이 가능하도록 하였다. International Telecommunication Union(ITU), recommended a propagation prediction models that can be applied to a various propagation environments that many services have been established in the field of broadcasting and telecommunications using ITU-R. Each propagation prediction models are revised with the complement procedures of an expected difference of channel environment and prepared for a standard of a propagation prediction. In this research, it is possible to realized a practical propagation prediction in each transmitting station for a broadcasting environments of ITU-R Rec. P.1546-3 model, so called the point-to-area, using supplementary parameters of the transmitting station specification.

Jisuguimundo is an inimitable magic hexagon devised by Choi Seok-Jeong, who was the author of GuSuRyak as well as a prime minister in Joseon dynasty. Jisuguimundo, recorded in GuSuRyak, is also known as Hexagonal Tortoise Problem (HTP) because its nine hexagons resemble a tortoise shell. We call the sum of numbers in a hexagon in Jisuguimundo a magic sum, and show that the magic sum of hexagonal tortoise problem of order 2 varies 40 through 62 exactly and that of hexagonal tortoise problem of order 3 varies 77 through 109 exactly. We also find all of the possible solutions for hexagonal tortoise problem of oder 2.
A Study on Trajectory Tracking Control of Field Robot

An excavator is a typical hydraulic heavy-duty human-operated machine used in general versatile construction operations, such as digging, carrying loads, grounding and dumping loads. However, operating excavators in the hazard environment such as earthquake, nuclear decomposition etc is not suitable for human to operate on site. Therefore, autonomous excavator which can be called field robot has been investigated to protect the operators from the harmful environments. To find a feasible way to control the base of field robot, firstly the full Kinematic and dynamic model of the machine’s platform which two degrees of freedom were studied. To control the excavator’s base, the PID control and nonlinear based on Lyapunov function are conducted and some simulation results are given.

The objective of this study was to investigate a simulation technology for the AM field based on ANSYS Inc.. The introduction of metal 3D printing AM process, and the examining of the present status of AM process simulation software, and the AM process simulation processor were done in the previous study (part 1). This present study (part 2) examined the use of the AM process simulation processor, presented in Part 1, through direct execution of Topology Optimization, Ansys Workbench, Additive Print and Additive Science. Topology Optimization can optimize additive geometry to reduce mass while maintaining strength for AM products. This can reduce the amount of material required for additive and significantly reduce additive build time. Ansys Workbench and Additive Print simulate the build process in the AM process and optimize various process variables (printing parameters and supporter composition), which will enable the AM to predict the problems that may occur during the build process, and can also be used to predict and correct deformations in geometry. Additive Science can simulate the material to find the material characteristic before the AM process simulation or build-up. This can be done by combining specimen preparation, measurement, and simulation for material measurements to find the exact material characteristics. This study will enable the understanding of the general process of AM simulation more easily. Furthermore, it will be of great help to a reader who wants to experience and appreciate AM simulation for the first time.
