        This study identifies the complementarity or substitutability among apple production technology bundles. To identify the production technology bundle relationships, this paper focuses on the 8 most commonly used technology groups, including a high density plant, normal density plant, M9, M26, more than 70% adoption ratio of a medium-maturing variety, the adoption of a new variety, artificial pollination, and low-temperature storage. The results show that M9 has a complementary relationship with a high density plant, yet a substitute relationship with a normal density plant. Meanwhile, M26 has a complementary relationship with both a high and normal density plant. No substitute relationship is found between M9 and M26, yet a complementary relationship is identified between the adoption of artificial pollination and low-temperature storage and M9 or M26.

        과채류 친환경 실천 농가의 생산성 변화 분석

        The productivity decrease in environment-friendly farming is the biggest obstacle for the development of environment-friendly food market. This paper aimed to analyze the productivity change in environment-friendly farming of fruit vegetables (oriental melon, watermelon, and strawberry). Box-Cox transformation model was used to infer the functional form of productivity change. The results showed that the periods of productivity restoration to 90% level in oriental melon, strawberry, and watermelon were 14.1 years, 11.4 years, and 6.0 years, respectively. The forms of productivity restoration of fruit vegetables showed differences due to their growth characteristics, incidences of crop pests, preference for the environment- friendly agricultural products, cultivation period and so on. Because the form and period of productivity restoration were different depending on kinds of fruit vegetable, the government policy should be established considering this point of view.

        사과 품종별 재배면적 변동 요인 분석

        This study analyzed factors influencing cultivation area of two major apple cultivars, Fuji and Hongro, applying the panel SUR model to survey data from farms. Characteristics of farms, distribution factors, and weather factors were the independent variables of the model. The analysis indicated that characteristics of farms, distribution factors, and weather factors influence the cultivation area of Hongro and Fuji. The independent variables were also found to have different levels of influence on increase and decrease of the cultivated area. Helping predict changes in cultivation area of Hongro and Fuji, the research results can be used as primary data to support efforts to prevent price fluctuations due to changes in supply.

        약용작물의 경영성과와 효율성 분석

        본 연구는 수입산 한약재 수입으로 경영상황이 극한으로 몰린 약용작물 재배농가의 경영개선 방안을 마련하기 위해 구릿대와 시호재배 농가를 중심으로 경영성과 및 경영 효율성에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 구릿대 재배농가와 시호 재배농가로부터 수집된 자료에 대한 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구릿대 재배농가의 10a당 총수입은 평균 1,363천원으로 나타났으며, 소득은 500천원으로 소득율은 36.7%로 분석되었다. 둘째, 시호 재배농가의 10a당 총수입은 평균 1,705천원으로 나타났으며, 소득은 873천원으로 소득율은 44.6%였다. 셋째, 구릿대 재배농가의 기술효율성은 0.790, 순수기술효율성은 0.856, 규모효율성은 0.924로 분석되었다. 넷째, 시호 재배농가의 기술효율성은 0.670, 순수기술효율성은 0.794, 규모효율성은 0.844로 분석되었다. 구릿대와 시호 재배농가모두 기술효율성에 있어서 상대적인 차이가 존재하였으며, 이러한 차이는 규모적 측면보다 순수 기술적 측면이 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 경영규모 확대를 통한 효율성 제고보다는 농가들의 기술수준에 적합한 영농교육을 실시하는 것이 효율성을 높이는데 보다 효과적일 것으로 여겨진다. This study was conducted to provide improvement measures for Korea’s medicinal crop farmers whose business has been severely damaged by imported medicinal herbs. To accomplish this, the performance and efficiency of farming Angelica dahurica and Bupleurum falcatum were analyzed. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows. First, the farming households cultivating Angelica dahurica had an average revenue of 1,363,000 KRW per 10 acres. The average income per 10 acres was 500,000 KRW, and the income ratio was 36.7%. Second, the farming households cultivating Bupleurum falcatum had an average revenue of 1,705,000 KRW per 10 acres, with an average income per 10 acres of 873,000 KRW and an income ratio of 44.6%. Third, the farming households cultivating Angelica dahurica were found to have a technical efficiency of 0.790, a pure technical efficiency of 0.856, and a scale efficiency of 0.924. Fourth, the farming households cultivating Bupleurum falcatum were found to have a technical efficiency of 0.670, a pure technical efficiency of 0.794, and a scale efficiency of 0.844. Both Angelica dahurica and Bupleurum falcatum farming households showed relative differences in technical efficiency. The pure technical aspects, rather than the scale aspects, were shown to contribute more to the differences.

        약용작물 재배농가의 생산효율성 통계적 차이에 대한 연구

        Purpose::This study aims to analyze the management performance and production efficiency of medicinal crop farmers. Methods: We conducted an empirical survey of medicinal crop farmers and analyzed production efficiency using DEA method. Results: First, The crops that increased the number of farms during 2010 and 2018 were Angelica tenuissima and Salvia miltiorrhiza, which was attributed to higher income per hour than other crops. Second, As for the efficiency of Liriope platyphylla, the average was 0.376, and the coefficient of variation was the lowest, 0.566. Third, Salvia miltiorrhiza and Atractylodes japonica had the highest technical efficiency after Liriope platyphylla, but the variation coefficient was high and the efficiency was relatively high. Fourth, As a result of performing variance analysis to find out the difference of each crops on the value of medicinal crop efficiency, the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency were all statistically significant. Conclusion: Based on the results above, following policy suggestions are offered. First, It is necessary to provide information on crops with high income compared to the input of labor, and to develop labor-saving cultivation technologies for each crop. Second, A stable labor supply system will be needed in rural areas. Third, Efforts should be made to close the technological gap between farmers through a lot of education and consulting for farmers who grow medicinal crops.

        참외 과중에 영향을 미치는 환경요인 분석

        In this study, an analysis was performed using the growth data and environment data of Korean melon farmers to confirm the influence of environmental factors variables on fruit weight of Korean melon. The analysis results can be summarized as follows. First, it was confirmed that humidity and temperature were recognized as the most important factors among the core factors of korean melon farm production management. Second, The correlation analysis of fruit weight and environmental factors showed a statistically significant soil temperature, internal humidity. Third, The Pooled OLS model estimation results showed that the estimation coefficient for soil temperature is (-), and the estimation coefficient for soil temperature square is (+), indicating that optimal control temperature exists.

        블렌딩 오일 시장 확대를 위한 소비자 선호 분석

        The number of obese people is on the rise in Korea because of westernized eating habits. Accordingly, consumers` concern about cooking oil also increases as trans fats are known to be the cause of obesity. The purpose of this paper is to investigate consumers` preference for the blending oil on the grounds that there`s ideal blending oil which mix omega 3·6·9 fatty acids in the ratio of 2:1:1. A choice experiment is designed and the aroma and prices of sesame oil, flaxseed oil and blending oil are examined as attributes. 154 Daegu metropolitan consumers were surveyed and a mixed logit model was employed to estimate WTPs. The result shows the highest WTP on the blending oil, the second highest on the flaxseed oil, the third on the sesame oil and the last on the aroma. Consumers have positive attitudes on health functional food or functionality-enhanced blending oil. The result of this paper could contribute to the development of functionality-enhanced blending oil production through transferring agricultural technology and improvement of rural household incomes.

        자두농가 경영수익 영향 요인 분석

        In this study, in order to analyze the factors affecting profitability, domestic prune cultivation status was reviewed, and 3-step DEA analysis and regression model estimation were performed using survey data on prune farm management. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the area of cultivation of plums and the amount of production are increasing, concentrated in the Gyeongbuk region, and the net rate of return was decreasing due to the rapid increase in production costs. Second, the coefficient of variation on farm profitability was the highest at 0.829, indicating that prune farmers showed great differences in farm profitability based on technical efficiency. Third, the coefficient of variation for farm profitability was the highest at 0.563, indicating that prune farmers showed great differences in farm profitability based on pure technical efficiency. Fourth, the coefficient of variation for farm profitability was the highest at 0.666, indicating that prune farmers showed great differences in farm profitability based on scale efficiency. Fifth, as a result of regression analysis it was found that farm profitability increased as production efficiency increased, and farm profitability increased as management effectiveness increased. Sixth, in terms of technology efficiency and scale efficiency, management effectiveness has a greater effect on farm profitability, and in pure technology efficiency, production efficiency has a greater effect on farm profitability.
