EGCG entrapped ethosome vesicles were prepared in order to delay the oxidation of EGCG. Vesicles were composed mainly of lecithin, ethanol, and water, and the vesicular membranes showed hydrated liquid crystalline phase behaviors. The stabilization effect of vesicles was investigated by measuring the change of concentration of EGCG with storage time. The concentration of EGCG was measured with HPLC equipped with UV detector. Variations of average particle size and entrapment efficiency (EE) of vesicles with lecithin types were also investigated.

Calcein entrapped nano carriers, which are vesicular system composed mainly of phospholipid, solvent, and water, were prepared with varying the composition of constituent components. They are named as ethosome, PGsome, and BGsome according to solvent used to dissolve the phospholipid. Liquid crystalline vesicle was formed by hydration of solvent-dissolved phospholipid with a solution containing a hydrophilic component. Liquid crystalline phase behavior and thermal phase transition of the nano carrier were investigated by the polarized optical microscopy equipped with hot stage. Constituent lipid composition and amount of added solvent had a considerable effect on the average particle sizes of the nano carrier. Compared with liposorne, nano carrier showed much higher encapsulation efficiencies, which were dependent of constituent lipid composition and amount of added calcein solution.

The effects of uniaxial drawing conditions on the average and the amorphous molecular orientation of PET and PEN were investigated. The average molecular orientation functions of PET and PEN (fav), they all decreased with drawing temperature and increased with drawing rate. The amorphous orientation function (fa) of PEN also increased with drawing rate, but that of PET decreased with drawing rate. These behaviors could be explained from the relation between crystallization rate and chain relaxation rate.

주쇄가 PS이고 곁사슬이 cyanobiphenyl 인 side chain liquid crystalline polymer의 spacer length에 따른 thermal behavior 및 phase transition을 살펴보고 액정구조를 분석하였다. 또한 이 SCLCP에 side chain과 화학구조가 같지만 mesomorphic phase가 각기 다른 몇 가지의 저 분자량의 mesogen 성분을 첨가했을 때 mixture의 상 변화를 살펴보고 저 분자량 LC의 mesomorphic phase가 SCLCP의 상전이 거동에 미치는 영향을 살펴 보았다.

Hydrated liquid crystalline vesicles, composed mainly of HPC and propylene glycol, were prepared. Liquid crystalline phase behavior and thermal phase transition of the vesicles were investigated by the polarized optical microscopy equipped with hot stage. The formation of vesicular droplet was also observed by SEM. Average droplet sizes of the vesicles, which were all below 1μ, depended on lipid constituent composition and propel glycol content. Encapsulation efficiency of the vesicle was much higher than that of liposome. This was caused by the two step process for preparation and the hydrophilic constitution of propylene glycol in vesicle.

The stabilization effect of vesicles was investigated by measuring the change of concentration of L-ascorbic acid with storage time. The concentration of L-ascorbic acid was measured with HPLC equipped with UV detector. Variations of average particle size and entrapment efficiency (EE) of vesicles with lecithin types were also investigated.
