다종 휘발성 유기화합물 분석을 위한 MOF 가 코팅된 μ-GC 칩이 사용된 분석 시스템

Recently, many researchers have been using many devices for gas analysis, including Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer(GC-MS) and Gas Chromatography-Flame Ionization Detector(GC-FID). However, the commonly used GC-MS or GC-FID are large equipment and expensive, so they are not suitable as portable equipment. In response to this, researchers are miniaturizing gas chromatography systems by miniaturizing the elements required for gas analysis. A typical gas chromatography system consists of a micro-preconcentrator (μ-PC), micro-gas chromatography (μ-GC) and a detector. In this study, we fabricated μ-GC coated with metal organic framework (MOF), a nanoporous material, to apply it to a small platform. To confirm the performance of the MOF-coated μ-GC chip, a separation experiment was conducted using benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene among volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The results showed that the MOF-coated μ-GC chip had a high separation ability for BTEX.
