Background: Pembrolizumab, an anti-cancer drug, is known to increase the activity of the immune system, leading to side effects called immune-related adverse events (irAE), including type 1 diabetes. This study analyzed the correlation between blood glucose level and pembrolizumab administration and investigated the covariates that affect those changes in cancer treatment. Methods: The information of 133 adult cancer patients was obtained from the electronic medical record (EMR) to identify the changes in random blood glucose (RBG) levels during the pembrolizumab treatment. Subjects were classified into subgroups according to their baseline RBG level, history of diabetes, and the use of steroids, and linear regression analysis was conducted. In addition, a secondary analysis was performed within the group of subjects having a strong correlation to glycemic change, which was based on the Pearson correlation coefficient being less than -0.7 or greater than +0.7. Univariate and multivariate logistic regressions were conducted to identify the risk factors to glycemic increase. Results: The RBG level tended to descend without significant differences in total patients during the administration period of pembrolizumab. Despite the insignificance, the logistic regression analysis presents that the odds ratios of baseline RBG less than 130 mg/dL, prophylactic steroid use, and higher dose of pembrolizumab per cycle (mg/kg/cycle) were greater than 1. Conclusions: Prophylactic administration of steroids and a higher dose of pembrolizumab per cycle may increase the blood glucose level as irAE in cancer patients with a strong tendency to glycemic change.

In spite of its necessities, most citizens of Seoul does not seem to pay many attentions to long-term, comprehensive planning works while the usage of project level-business plans are actively increasing in the built-up areas of Seoul, Major purpose of this research is to find a new way of urban planning approaches as a better method of existing urban planning practices in the context that current methods of urban planning seem to reveal many limitations in practices. As a new way of urban planning approaches, scenario type of planning methods and learning processes are introduced and developed for the applications to the urban planning practices in Seoul. Major contents of this research are composed of five parts. First, this study describes the limitations of current urban planning practices in Seoul in terms of planning methodology and planning processes. The strengths and limitations of some new perspectives of urban planning currently implemented in Seoul such as village-level participatory planning and negotiation in advance based-planning methods are also mentioned. Second, the meanings and significances of Scenario learning and planning process in the modern urban planning context are introduced and suggested as a new way of urban planning method to overcome some limitations of comprehensive urban planning practices. Third, scenario development techniques, planning processes and methods in the urban planning context are described in detail through the reviews of various studies and relevant literature. Some considerations as pre-conditions of urban planning applications are also suggested. Fourth, five oversea cases of scenario urban planning works and processes are introduced and explained in detail in the different planning fields: The Brentswood rezoning case in Virginia. Gateway Blueprint (land use) planning in St. Louis, ``Go To 2040`` plan of Chicago Metropolitan Planning Agency, ``Vision 2040`` growth management plan of the Puget Sound Regional Council in Washington, and SCAG Growth Vision of Southern California Association of Governments. Finally, this study seeks to find a possibility of applications of scenario planning in the context of two cases of urban planning practices in Seoul. Applicabilities to the spatial structure plan in 2030 Seoul Master Plan and downtown development plan of Seoul are described and evaluated through scenario planning methods. Also, major considerations for the application of scenario planning methods in the context of urban planning practices in Seoul are suggested as concluding notes for the planning profession.

The objectives of this study are to identify limitations of existing metro-wide governance system of the Seoul Metropolitan Region and to find out the facts that it is difficult for current organization system to address metro-wide problems in the SMR. Thus, this study suggests short-term and long-term policy recommendations to improve these limitations of metro-wide governance system in the SMR. To address metro-wide governance problems, three approaches can be applied: market, incremental and comprehensive approach. In Korean administrative context, many scholars tend to argue that comprehensive approach might be the best policy option. In reality, institutional tools such as local government association, regional council and inter-government agreement could be applied currently. However, these institutional mechanisms are not working well in our administrative context. Major reasons are: 1) institutional and financial base of local autonomy is rather week, and 2) centralization of government system is still quite prevail. As a similar case, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) in England seem to work better compare to our cases. The English version of regional governance system is consisting of triangle coordination systems: Regional Assembly(RA), Government Office for Region (GOR) and RDAs. Each of triangle systems seems to govern itself quite independently and to cooperate well each other. In terms of financial resources, RDAs have an enough block grant type-subsidy without much intervention of central government. Especially, RA, including average 90 persons of local councilmen and regional experts, seems to have enough capability and resources to review regional issues. GOR plays a role as an integrated regional policy center to communicate other government departments and local governments through ``single pot`` budget. Similarly, we also observed that most regional councils in USA and Japan seem to have their own decision making capabilities and resources in their organization system. On the other hand, Korea has regional committee and regional office as metro-wide organization systems. In the case of the Capital Region Development Committee(CRDC), it consists Seoul(capital city) & Incheon mayors, governor of Gyounggi province and 12 members separately appointed by 2 mayors and 1 governor. This governance system, consisting individual administrative decision makers and appointed members, cannot be said to represent properly the metro-wide interests of the SMR. The regional office for the CRDC as an operational support institution is consisted of 1 chief officer and 2 directors who are sent by local governments of the SMR. Therefore, it is also difficult for regional office to expect a great leadership to address metro-wide problems of the SMR. Also, there are subordinated branch offices of central government which address regional issues of Korea. However, these offices do not have a proper coordination capability and resources to communicate other departments of central government and local governments. In sum, step-wise devolution of administrative authorities and financial resources concerning regional policy issue from the central governments is pre-required to address properly metro-wide problems and to improve current metro-wide governance system for the SMR.

Objective: This study examines the correlation between variables that were obtained as response data from a questionnaire formulated to assess the factors that affect the design of an automobile AI voice interface. This will enable the use of these variables in the human–computer interaction field to design an effective artificial intelligence voice interface for automobiles. Background: With the growing trend toward hyper-connection and infotainmentization, artificial intelligence (AI) voice interfaces will become increasingly important in user experience (UX). This is especially true in the design of futuristic automobiles. Method: From precedent research, nine principal variables are selected. The questionnaire was conducted. Based on the collected response data, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were investigated, and correlations between variables were analyzed. Results: The Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.400-0.510 at a significance level of 0.05, and 0.532-0.602 at a level of significance of 0.01. Conclusion: This study will be meaningful, in the cultural and social contexts, for studying the response data of various factors that users of AI voice experience in automobiles. Application: It can contribute to efficient variables or variable combination selection in AI voice interface UX design for future automobiles.
