홍삼 복합 추출물의 AMPK 활성화를 통한 고지혈증 개선

당 및 지질 대사 조절의 이상으로 인한 대사성 질환 중의 하나인 고지혈증은 현대사회에서 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 부작용이 적은 천연물을 사용하는 사례들이 급증하고 있는데, 특히 이 연구에서는 초미세 분말을 첨가한 홍삼을 이용하여 지방세포 및 쥐 혈액, 간, 그리고 지방조직에서 지질, 콜레스테롤, 당, 과산화 수치를 확인함으로써 홍삼의 효능을 관찰하였다. 세포 실험 결과, 특정한 홍삼 농도(50 μg/mL)에서 지질 형성을 미세하게 억제하고 있음을 알 수 있으며, 동물 실험에서도 마찬가지로 저농도의 홍삼을 처리하였을 때 혈중 총 콜레스테롤 수치가 가장 감소하였고 HDL-콜레스테롤 수치 또한 증가하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 이는 심혈관위험지수 및 동맥경화지수를 낮춰준다. 그뿐만 아니라 저농도 홍삼 식이법 시행군에서 지질대사 관련 단백질인 AMPK의 발현량이 증가하였는데, 이는 특정 농도의 홍삼이 AMPK 활성화를 높임으로써 지방 및 콜레스테롤 합성 억제를 돕는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구는 홍삼이 대사성 질환인 고지혈증 치료 및 예방에 도움을 주는 천연물 후보임을 시사하는 바이다. Hyperlipidemia is known as a glucose and lipid metabolism-related disorder that is increasing in incidence in modern society. Red ginseng (RG) is a natural herb candidate with a positive effect on regulation of cholesterol and lipids. To observe the effects of RG on regulation of lipids, cholesterol, glucose, and oxidative stress, we examined the in vitro and in vivo effects of Chamdahan RG on differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes and high-fat diet-fed mice. RG (50 μg/mL) significantly inhibited lipid synthesis in 3T3-L1 cells. In addition, a low concentration of RG (880 mg/kg/d) resulted in the lowest total blood cholesterol level. Moreover, high density lipoprotein-cholesterol quantity increased in RG-treated groups, consequently lowering the cardiovascular risk factor and atherosclerosis index. Moreover, RG increased activity of AMP-activated protein kinase, as a regulator of lipid and cholesterol synthesis, in adipose and liver tissues. Cumulatively, this paper suggests that RG has a positive effect on reducing the amounts of cholesterol and lipids and may be a good candidate for treating hyperlipidemia.
루이비통 플래그쉽 스토어 디자인에서 나타나는 물성을 활용한 브랜드 아이덴티티 표현 방법에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between brand identity and property as a representation method of Louis Vuitton flagship stores. First, the theoretical definition of the concept and meaning of brand identity, structure and characters, and concept and function of flagship stores as an identity representation method was reviewed as a research method. Based on this, the Louis Vuitton internal brand identity and spatial strategy were analyzed, and property and concept were examined as a brand identity representation method. After reviewing the relationship between brand identity and conceptual property, the property representation of Louis Vuitton’s flagship store brand identity was analyzed. According to the case analysis, it was found that the various property representation of Louis Vuitton traditional symbols, such as the pattern and trunk, carries the fresh and innovative image to the customers. It was concluded that Louis Vuitton delivers their unique brand identity strategically and effectively using property as the representation method. This study anticipates that the property would be used widely as a brand identity representation method.
4주 유산소 운동의 운동강도가 노령 생쥐의 심혈관질환위험인자, 활성산소, 항산화효소에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of different intensity of aerobic exercise for four weeks on cardiovascular risk factors, reactive oxygen, and antioxidant enzymes in old mice. Methods: Eighteen male C57BL/6 mice age 18 months were randomly classified into the control group (n=6), the moderate intensity exercise group (n=6), and the low intensity exercise group (n=6). The training groups performed the aerobic exercise twice daily for 20 minutes, five days weekly for four weeks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, analysis of variance (ANOVA), the Chi-square test, and the Tukey’s test with the SPSSWIN 21.0 program. Results: In this study, among the risk factors of cardiovascular disease, blood sugar (BS) (p=.023) and total cholesterol (TC) (p=.001) were significantly different between the moderate intensity exercise group and the control group. Additionally, there were significant differences in the reactive oxygen malondialdehyde (MDA) (p=.001), the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) (p<.001) and glutathione reductase (GR) (p=.015) between the moderate intensity exercise group and the control group. Conclusion: This finding suggests that moderate intensity aerobic exercise promotes the activity of antioxidant enzymes and lowers cardiovascular risk factors in older mice.

The antibody titers against Coxiella burnetii (Q fever) among cattle raised in Gwangju area were analyzed from February to October in 2015. The prevalence of antibodies in collected bulk-tank milk from 7 dairy cattle farms was 57.1% and the seroprevalence of 210 dairy cows randomly selected from those farms was 7.1%. By age, the seroprevalence was 3.3% in less than 4 years of age, 9.0% between 4 and 7 years of age, and 28.6% in more than 8 years of age. On the other hand, the seroprevalence of the Hanwoo cattle was 0.4%. The result suggested that the antibodies against Coxiella burnetii increase as the age of the dairy cows increases and therefore, it is necessary to keep monitoring the prevalence of Q fever in Gwangju area.
