      • 향기흡입이 항암 화학요법 환자의 오심ㆍ구토와 식욕부진에 미치는 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of aroma oil inhalation using peppermint and bergamot on nauseaㆍvomiting and anorexia in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Method: Study subjects were 30 patients who had experienced nausea and vomiting when they had been hospitalized in K university hospital located in D city to receiving more than two Cisplatin combination chemotherapy. Among them 15 patients were in the experimental group doing aroma oil inhalation and the other 15 patients were in the control group without aroma oil inhalation. The data were collected from February 1, 2002 to May 17, 2002. The data were collected from February 1, 2000 to May 17, 2002. The data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 10.0 program using frequency, percentage, X2-test, t-test, Repeated Measures ANOVA. Result: 1)The degree of nauseaㆍvomiting on the experimental group with aroma oil inhalation using peppermint and bergamot were significantly lower than that of the control group. 2)The degree of anorexia on the experimental group with aroma oil inhalation using peppermint and bergamot were significantly lower than that of the control group. Conclusion: aroma oil inhalation was effective for relieving patients' nauseaㆍvomiting and anorexia receiving chemotherapy. Therefore, it is proposed that aroma oil inhalation should be applied as a supportive nursing arbitration method to relieve patients' nauseaㆍvomiting and anorexia who are receiving chemotherapy.

      • 저소득층의 주거환경과 주거정책 방향 연구 : 제천시 수급가구를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to suggest the housing policy of Jecheon city by analyzing the housing situation. This study conducted regression analysis and crossover analysis using 3,811 empirical data on the status of the total supply and demand of households in Jecheon City acquired by the researcher from Jecheon City. These data suggest that the future policy directions of low - income households can be suggested not only for Jecheon but also for other low - income households in other cities. In addition, most of the previous studies do not use low-income empirical data and infer the results of the survey. However, this study needs to be understood with regional limitation because the survey area is limited to a specific area called Jecheon city. However, there is a big difference between Jecheon city and previous research by analyzing and utilizing the whole empirical data in the study. As a result of the study, the direction of the future residential policy should be institutionalized so that the low - income households can be converted from the leased households to the self - In order to improve the quality of the residential environment, it is necessary to allocate private apartments and supply housing in the old urban areas so that the disparity between the rich and the poor can be overcome. In addition, we will propose the necessity of providing housing for solving the housing shortage of one younger generation with the elderly living alone.

        마리 리의 『작별인사』에 나타난 인종 간 갈등과 다문화주의

        This paper focuses on interracial conflicts between African Americans and Korean Americans and the multicultural issues represented in Marie G Lee’s Saying Goodbye. First, this paper examines why the multiculturalism, which acknowledges and respects the difference among people in terms of race, ethnicity and culture, developed during the 1980s and the early 1990s and has retreated since 9/11 in the United States. Secondly, this paper examines how Ellen, a Korean American and her African American college roommate, Leecia, mutually recognize and understand their different cultures through their friendship. This paper also discusses the political evolution and self-awareness of Ellen Sung, a Korean American in her college environment and explores how Ellen’s racial identity and cultural nationalism are heightened by her interaction with other Korean students and meeting her Asian American boyfriend, Jaechun whose father’s store was destroyed during the LA riots. Lastly, this paper also examines the weaknesses of the multicultural society by focusing on the controversy surrounding rapper Ice Cube, an anti-Asian rapper that is named ‘Professor T’ in Lee’s Saying Goodbye. Cube’s ‘Black Korea’ portrays the antagonistic relationship between African Americans and Korean American merchants that open their stores in the black community. This paper suggests that Korean Americans reject their intermediate position relative to other racial groups within the American racial order and work toward creating a society characterized by greater racial justice for all.

        향기요법 교육프로그램이 여성노인의 스트레스 및 자아존중감에 미치는 효과

        This study was attempted to show the effects of the aroma therapy education program on stress and self-esteem in elderly women over 60 years old. The study design was the non-equivalent control group pre-post test. The subjects were given skin care education using aroma therapy in the welfare center located in G city in the order of pre-test, educational program, and post-test from September 8 to October 15, 2008. Taking everything into consideration, we demonstrated that 6-week aroma therapy education program was effective in the stress and self-esteem of women elderly. Accordingly it is considered that further research will design more detailed and systematic educational program to use for the practice of skin care education program. Finally this study suggests that it is necessary to research the effect of a longitudinal and persisted educational program of skin care.

        초등학교 5, 6학년 영어 교과서의 읽기 자료에 나타난 문화 연계 실태 및 문화 내용 분석

        This study aims to explore the connections between reading materials and culture, and the cultural contents in the 5th and 6th grade English textbooks. For this, 150 pieces of reading material in 10 English textbooks were analyzed based on three aspects: 1) whether the reading materials are connected with culture, 2) if so, how strongly the reading materials are tied to culture, 3) what cultural contents (topics, types, backgrounds) are suggested in the reading materials. The content analysis of the reading materials found that 66% (99 out of 150) of the reading materials were tied to culture with different degrees (weak, medium, strong). Specifically, 47.4% of the 99 reading materials turned out to have a weak connection with culture, whereas 23.2% had a medium connection and 29.2% had a strong connection. In addition, in terms of cultural contents suggested in the reading materials, topics about the daily lives of people from diverse cultural backgrounds were commonly dealt with in 78.1% of the reading material. For cultural types, material culture accounted for 45.8% of the reading materials, followed by spiritual and behavioral culture. Lastly, for cultural backgrounds, English culture was presented the most, followed by non-English and Korean culture. Based on the findings, some pedagogical implications were discussed.

        초등 예비 교사들의 교실 영어 활용 능력을 향상시키기 위한 교수·학습 활동 탐색

        본 연구의 목적은 중도시의 한 교육대학교에서 교실 영어 과목을 수강하는 1학년 171명의 학생들을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 이들을 지도하는 과정을 통해 교실 영어활용 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수·학습 활동들을 탐색해 보는 데 있다. 수업에서 중점적으로 활용된 7가지 활동들은 학생들이 교실 영어 표현들을 스스로 탐색하고, 협의를 통해 유용한 표현들을 도출해 내거나 만들어 보며, 그룹원들이나 전체 학생들과 양방향 협력 학습 등을 하는데 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 이러한 활동들의 효과성, 그리고 학생들의 교실 영어의 개념에 대한 이해도, 교실 영어 활용에 대한 자신감과 흥미도를 파악하기 위해 5단계 척도의 선택형, 순위형, 서술형 문항들로 구성된 중간 및 기말 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 결과 분석은 빈도 분석, 대응 표본 t-검정, 다중 응답 빈도 분석을 중심으로 이루어졌으나, 서술형 문항 분석 및 연구자의 수업 관찰도 포함되었다. 연구 결과로서 시도되었던 교수·학습 활동들의 효과성 면에서는 대부분의 활동들이 도움이 된다는 긍정적인 결과가 나타났다. 또한 학생들의 교실영어의 개념에 대한 이해, 활용에 대한 자신감과 흥미도도 유의하게 향상하였는데, 이는 교실 영어 강좌를 일반 영어 회화 강좌와 동일시하며, 그 필요성에 대해 크게 생각지 못했던 학생들에게 있어 큰 변화라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시된 구체적인 교수·학습 활동들과 그 효과성은 교육대학교에서 초등 예비 교사들을 대상으로 이루어지는 교실 영어 관련 강좌에 아이디어와 방향성을 제시할 수 있을 것이다. This study aims to explore what teaching and learning activities are helpful for improving pre-service teachers classroom English. For this purpose, seven activities in which learners are expected to search for useful classroom English expressions, work with group members to think and make new expressions, and do some teaching demonstrations, were developed and introduced to 171 freshmen during 15-week course of Classroom English in a university of education. In order to figure out the usefulness of the seven activities, two surveys (after week 7 and 15) were conducted. The results show that most of the activities were turned out to be helpful. Particularly, the pre-service teachers were satisfied with activities such as doing direct teaching demonstrations within groups or in whole classes, building their understanding of the National Curriculum of English, English textbooks and lessons, and utilizing real activities from English textbooks. In addition, the pre-service teachers reported their improved self-confidence and interest in using classroom English, as well as their better understanding on what classroom English is and why using it is necessary for their prospective students. Based on these findings, some pedagogical suggestions were drawn for improving pre-service teachers classroom English skills through classroom English related courses.
