Smart cities using ICT are being built due to the prospect that the number of mega-cities with a population of 10 million or more will increase to 37 in 2025 with the rapid increase in the urban residence rate. Smart City is evaluated as an alternative to urban problems such as traffic congestion, crime and disaster, and energy depletion caused by the rapid increase of urban population and to improve urban competitiveness. This study analyzed the citizen’s perception for the Busan Smart City Test-bed project and sensible smart city services through two questionnaires. The usability, convenience, economy, urgency, diffusiveness, and publicness which are represented citizens’ perception of smart city service, were measured and analyzed. The results of this study are summarized as follows. The citizen awareness of Busan Smart City Test-bed project is low at rate of 40.5%. Therefore, it is necessary to improve citizens' awareness through systematic promotion of the Smart City project and Busan city’s policy. The usefulness of the Busan Smart City Test-bed project is highly perceived by the citizens and is in need to spread to the public works. However, as the intention to use the service as a fee is low, it is necessary to develop the smart city service necessary for real life by reflecting the citizen's requirements. The most preferred service for usability and diffusiveness is Smart Mobility Prevention Service (4.21) in the survey of six citizen’s perception categories of usability, convenience, economy, urgency, diffusiveness, and publicness among the 13 sensible smart city services. The smart parking (4.23) is the most preferred service for convenience and economy. The safety control service for the socially vulnerable and disadvantaged (4.13) and the smart street lamp (4.30) were the most preferred smart city services in terms of urgency and publicness, respectively. The average of six citizen’s perception variables for 13 sensible smart city services were 3.89 for publicness, 3.82for diffusiveness, 3.80 for usability, 3.80 for convenience, 3.66 for urgency and 3.05 for economy, respectively. It indicates that the citizens recognized that the sensible smart city services should also be built and spread to public works, though they are useful for living. However, it was found that services that are closely related to traffic and life safety could be charged.

Internet have been recognized as a good tool of marketing, almost all the local governments have been developed internet-based tourism information systems for introducing their tourism resources and inducing tourist. In this paper, we discussed development and operation methods of internet-based tourism information systems from three viewpoints that are tourism contents development, information system development and operation methods. * Assistant Professor, Dept. of Internet Business, Dong-Eui University ** CEO, GaonSoft Ltd. Firstly, from the tourism contents development viewpoint, it is necessary to develop high valued-added tourism contents such as experiential tourism and represent visualization of contents using GIS and multimedia processing technologies. Secondly, from the systems development viewpoint, the Gyeongsangnam-do's tourism information system has been developed. This system provides various dynamic and visual functions such as multilingual services, integrated Internet and wireless Internet services, electronic maps, real-time traffic information, 2-D and 3-D multimedia tourism contents, etc. Finally, from the operation methods viewpoint, we suggested three operation methods, which are operation efficiency, contents and functions intensification, for advancing to an integrated tourism information e-Marketplace. The results of this research will used as a useful guidance for developing and operating internet- based tourism information systems.

This study was carried out to investigate the changes of sensory, microbiological and chemical quality by storage conditions in ultra-high temperature (UHT) treated milk for 6 months from August 2000 to February 2001. A total of 1,340 UHT pasteurized milk samples collected from 3 plants (A, B and C) were stored at 10℃ and room temperature (dark and light exposure) for 6 months. The bacterial counts in the milk samples stored at 10℃ were kept less than standard limit (2×104 cfu/ml) of bacteria for 5 days, and bacterial counts in some milk samples were a slightly increased more than the standard limit as time elapsed for 6 months. When the milk samples were stored at room (3℃∼30℃), the bacterial counts in most of the milk samples from A plant were more than the standard limit after 3 days of storage, but in the 20%∼30% (4∼6/20) of the milk samples from B and C were less than the standard limit after 6 months of storage. The sensory quality and acidity of milk were gradually changed in proportion to bacterial counts during storage at room temperature and 10℃ for 6 months. The standard limit of bacteria in whole market milk was more sensitive than those of sensory and chemical test as standards to determine the unaccepted milk. No significant correlation was found in keeping quality of the UHT milk between dark and light exposure at room for 6 months. The compositions of fat, solids not fat, protein and lactose in milk samples were not significantly changed according to the storage conditions and time for 6 months. The UHT sterilized milk samples (A plant; 20 samples, B plant; 110 samples) collected from 2 plants were not changed sensory, chemical and microbiological quality by storage conditions for 6 months, but only one sample from B was detected the bacteria after 60 days of storage. The shelf life of UHT pasteurized milk in this study was a little longer than that reported by previous surveys. Although the shelf life of UHT pasteurized milk made a significant difference among three milk plants, the results indicated that some UHT pasteurized milk in polyethylene coated carton pack could be stored at room temperature for 6 months.
