The purpose of this study was to construct the management information system for supporting the supervision of construction workplace. For the purpose, firstly, this study surveyed the present states and the problems of construction workplace in Korea. And then, defined the range and the process of the supervision of construction workplace, and examined the information standards of construction and the CALS standards for supporting. As a result, this study proposed the first stage of management information system, which consists of several basic functions, such as, document management, system management and partially, duality management and construction information management.

Although high-rise apartments are beneficial to increase land use, open space, fine view, and so forth, it induces people to concentrate in cities and causes traffic problem. And, the lower stories of those apartments are difficult to obtain sunlight for minimum 4 hours in the daytime while the upper stories of them can receive sufficient sunlight regardless of seasons or times. The purpose of this study was to present the method which can be used for evaluating sunlight conditions in design and using phase of apartments by surveying individual houses. In this study, it is produced the shadow analysis program with Auto Lisp that can plot shadows on a CAD drawing by calculating solar altitude, azimuth, declination and equation of time. To examine the seasonal effect of shadow, three-dimensional building shape and shadow were illustrated using the rendering method. Because this shadow analysis program with Auto Lisp can show directly building shadows on a drawing, it is useful to perceive the accurate pattern and area of shadow. And, the Auto CAD rendering method can express seasonal changes of shadow in apartment complex. Therefore, by using two methods properly, it is helpful to predict precise time of sunlight and shadow in design and using phase of buildings.

It is impossible completely to prevent cracking in concrete structures and its problems cannot be solved by one or two countermeasures as long as using concrete. The cracks in concrete spoil the outward appearance and lead to the deterioration of the watertightness and bring about the degradation of capability in the load carrying capacity and the durability in concrete structures. Therefore, it must be achieved to inclusively comprehend and to study for the causes of cracks. And also it is judged that the effective countermeasures for the control of cracks can be established by the continuous research for cracks and the study and the development of the new material which have the strong resistance for cracks. Above all, it is thought that the preparatory prevention against cracks is most important.
