Solar energy is considered to be the most important alternative source of energy available and extensive research is being done to make efficient use of this energy. Generally, solar collectors are used to collect solar energy. In this study, the effect of vertical and azimuth angles of solar collector on the solar radiation for various locations in Korea is investigated. Slope angles are varied from 0 to 90 degree and azimuth angles from -30 to +30 degree. Six locations chosen for the study are Seoul, Inchon, Kangnung, Ulsan, Kwangju and Mokpo. Optimum slope angles for collecting maximum solar energy for a whole year, summer and winter are 30, 7-8 and 56-58 degree, respectively. Optimum azimuth angle is in the range of 1-4 degree.

The certification of the Building Energy Efficiency Rating System (BEERS) is progressed by the annual heating and cooling energy demand, but it is made only through confirmation on and actual inspection of the application of drawings and specifications to the site, and data collection on the operation of buildings and the heating and cooling energy consumption after certification is not made. Studies on the method to compare the energy consumption of the buildings which is certified for BEERS according to the actual certified results with the actual consumption, and to find the cause of errors occurring in generation, and to narrow the errors. Accordingly, this study analyzed the causes of consumption differences as well as consumption by investigating and comparing the theoretical annual primary energy needs (kWh/㎡) and the actual energy consumption for one year of education and research facilities when BEERS certification is required.

Dedicated outdoor air(DOA) system which conditions the outdoor air separately is superior to conventional cooling +reheating system with respect to energy consumption and indoor comfort. Since the sensible and latent load characteristics of indoor and outdoor are different, it is more efficient to treat them separately. In this study, cycle analysis and on-site performance test of DOA system have been conducted. The study shows that DOA requires 50% less equivalent energy than the conventional system. The on-site performance test of a prototype shows that the coefficient of performance(COP) of the DOA system is 37% higher than the conventional system.
비주거 건축물에서 에너지효율등급과 에너지성능지표의 상관관계에 관한 연구

Our country has a higher level of energy dependence and therefore rely on imports from foreign countries and energy demand structure is vulnerable. Thus, there exist various energy policies related to the energy performance of buildings which will aim for the greenhouse gas reduction target in building sector. This study analyzes correlation between primary energy consumption per area and energy performance index in certified energy efficient non-residential buildings. 35 non-residential buildings were used and the analysis showed that there was low correlation between these two. Energy saving plan can introduce errors on evaluation of overall energy performance of the building due to incompleteness of application items. Therefore there is a need to change the evaluation approach which will evaluate the energy performance by its annual energy consumption.
동계 난방시 구조체 축열 공조시스템의 축·방열 특성에 관한 연구

It is the plan that storage gets energy done by in structure with what thermal storage of structure changes only supply air duct among the existing HVAC system, and a basic principle coordinates the damper that it was installed makeup air in supply air duct like former HVAC system to an inside at supply and a night by day, and do makeup air supply with in ceiling space of thermal storage of structure HVAC system. This thermal storage of structure HVAC system uses the existing utility system, and energy saving can get structure of building done with energy storage, before air conditioning and peak load cut getting day heat load done.
