ATM ABR의 공평성들을 위한 새로운 스케쥴링 알고리즘

The WRR scheduling algorithm is widely used in ATM networks due to its simplicity and the low cost of hardware implementation. It guarantees minimum cell rate according to the weight of each queue. The fairness is a important factor for ABR service. That is, scheduling algorithm allocates network resources fairly to each VC. However, WRR algorithm shows worse performance on bursty traffic. Because it schedules input traffics according to predetermined weight, it can not satisfies fairness criteria, MCR plus equal share and Maximum of MCR or Max-Min share, defined by ATM Forum TM 4.1 specification. The Nabeshima et al algorithm is not adapt to network status rapidly because it is not compensate the weights of unused bandwidth to VCs and assign the unused bandwidth to VCs by RR method. In this paper, we propose a scheduling algorithm for satisfying the two fairness criteria, MCR plus equal share and Maximum of MCR or Max-Min share, among the six criteria defined by ATM Forum TM 4.1 specification. The WRR, Nabeshima et al, and the proposed scheduling algorithms are compared with respect to fairness and convergence time throughout experimental simulation. According to the simulation results, the proposed algorithm shows higher fairness and more rapid convergence than other algorithms. WRR 스케줄링 알고리즘은 계산의 단순성과 저 비용 구현의 장점을 가지고 있어서 고속 패킷 스위칭 네트워크에서 널리 쓰이고 있지만 버스티한 트래픽에 대해서는 입력 트래픽을 일정 비율로 스케쥴링하기 때문에 효율성이 낮다는 문제점이 있다. 또한, WRR 알고리즘은 ABR 서비스 클래스의 공정성 기준인 MCR plus equal share와 Maximum of MCR or Max-Min share 공평성을 만족시키지 못한다. 또한 Nabeshima et al의 기법은 여분 대역에 대한 weight 값을 보정하지 않고 RR 방식으로 각 VC에 할당을 해주기 때문에 네트워크의 변화에 신속하게 적응하지 못할 뿐 만 아니라 대역폭을 효율적으로 이용하지 못한다. 따라서 ABR 서비스를 위한 공평성 기준을 만족시키고 빠르게 적응할 수 있는 스케줄링 알고리즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ABR 서비스를 위한 6가지 공평성 기준들 중 MCR plus equal share와 Maximum of MCR or Max-Min share 두 기준을 만족시키는 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘이 공평성 기준을 만족시키고, 네트워크 자원을 각 ABR VC들에게 신속하고 공평하게 할당해 주는지를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 WRR, Nabeshima et al 알고리즘들과 비교, 분석한다.

중앙아시아에서의 문자 교체 논란 연구 : 키릴인가 라틴인가 아랍문자인가

In this paper I examine the controversy about the shift of writing systems in Azerbaijan and five Central Asian countries. The transition from Cyrillic to Latin alphabet is important as a symbol of elimination of Soviet traditions, independence from Russia, revival of national identity, facilitation of informations in the West, and contact with the Western civilization. Currently, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have implemented a transition to Latin alphabet. The shift of the writing system in Azerbaijan is the most successful, followed by Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan is regarded as having half success, since both of Latin and Cyrillic alphabets still co-exist. Among the remaining three central Asian countries, Kazakhstan has been actively promoting the conversion to Latin alphabet, planning to complete the conversion by 2025, but there will be many obstacles to its realization. In other words, they need to overcome the opposition of many Russians, Russian speakers, and the Russian Federation. Also an initiative of the second president Tokaev, who was appointed in March 2019, is uncertain. In Kyrgyzstan, there have been no attempts of conversion until recently, but it is also possible to begin discussions regarding the shift of the writing system by looking at geopolitical situations including Kazakhstan s experience. In Tajikistan, unlike other countries, the transition to the Arabic-Persian alphabet is discussed. A successful transition of the writing system in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will depend on the relationship with the Russian government. As a result, the change of writing system depends on the external relationship with Russia, financial conditions, and agreement between the Russian-speaking and young generations.
중앙아시아 5개국의 정체성 모색: 역사적 기원과 문자 전환을 중심으로

본 연구는 중앙아시아 5개국의 민족기원과 문자전환을 독립 이후 정체성의 부활과 창조 측면에서 살펴보았다. 중앙아시아 5개국 대부분은 자신의 민족 기원을 아리아인에서 찾으면서 지역에서 가장 오래된 민족이고 융성한 문화를 창조했다는 것을 내세우지만, 아리아인과 투르크인의 특징 사이에서 혼란을 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 문자 전환의 경우 역시 민족 정체성 상징의 부활로서 우즈베키스탄과 투르크메니스탄은 독립 이후 라틴문자로 전환했지만, 나머지 3개국은 여전히 키릴문자를 사용하고 있다. 이는 지정학적 상황에 의한 것임을 알 수 있었는데, 문자 전환은 해당 국가 내의 러시아어 사용자 비율과 러시아연방의 영향력 강도, 유럽 및 서구식 문화 정책 추진 여부에 따라 가변적이다. This paper aim to analyze formation of the ethnic identity. The ethnic identity differentiate one ethnic group from other. An ethnos, race, language, custom and script belong to the ethnic identity. The New Independent Nations in Central Asia have found the indigenous ethnic identity and chose ancient Aryan as their ancestors. But it is difficult to understanding that Central Asians succeeded to ancient Aryan as it is. Because Central Asians`s languages belong to Altaic language family, Turkic language group but Aryan language belongs to Indo-European language family. And Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan switched Cyrillic Alphabet to Latin, this is also a formation of the ethnic identity. On the contrary, Kazakhstan and Kirgizstan, Tajikistan still use Cyrillic. This is caused by Central Asian geopolitics and Russian language speakers who living in Kazakhstan and Kirgizstan.

The thermal performance of solar systems for hot water service usually depends on the solar collectors. Evacuated tube solar collector with heat pipe has been developed to improve the thermal efficiency of solar energy collector. In solar energy system, collector modules should be arranged in series and/or parallel pattern. The experiment is carried out to investigate the thermal performance for the module of solar collector in series and parallel, respectively. The results from this study will be presented as the basic data for the arranging pattern of many solar collectors.
