동일한 술자에게 형제가 수술받은 간헐외사시의 수술 결과

목적: 간헐외사시 환자에서 동일한 술자에게 수술받은 형제 병력의 유무에 따른 수술 결과에 대해 평가하고자 한다. 대상과 방법: 2015년 9월부터 2021년 12월 사이 외사시 수술을 받은 18세 이하 소아 환자들을 후향적으로 분석하였다. 동일한 술자에게 형제가 모두 외사시 수술을 받은 환자군과 대조군으로 형제의 외사시 수술 병력이 없는 환자군의 수술 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 수술 결과 비교를 위해 1:1 성향점수매칭(propensity score matching) 통계 기법을 사용하였다. 술 후 10프리즘디옵터(prism diopter, PD) 이하의 외사시에서 4 PD 이하의 내사시를 성공적인 수술 결과로 보았다. 결과: 형제 수술 병력이 있는 60명의 환자와 대조군으로 형제의 수술 병력이 없는 60명의 환자가 연구에 포함되었다. 수술 결과는외사시 수술을 받은 형제가 있는 환자와 없는 환자 간의 유의한 차이는 없었다(log-rank tests, p=0.622). 첫째와 둘째 형제 사이의사시 발생 시기, 사시각, 수술받은 나이 등의 임상 특성은 유사하였으며, 수술 결과는 유의한 차이가 없었다(p=0.540). 결론: 형제가 모두 간헐외사시 수술을 받은 환자와 형제의 간헐외사시 수술 병력이 없는 환자 사이에서 수술 결과는 큰 차이가 없었다또한, 첫째와 둘째 형제의 수술 결과도 차이가 없었다. Purpose: We evaluated surgical outcomes in pediatric patients with intermittent exotropia with and without a family history of exotropia surgery performed by the same surgeon. Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of the medical records of pediatric patients aged ≤ 18 years who underwent surgery for intermittent exotropia between September 2015 and December 2021. We compared surgical outcomes between patients with and without a family history of exotropia surgery performed using 1:1 propensity score matching. A successful surgical outcome was defined as achieving alignment between an exodeviation of 10 prism diopters (PD) and an esodeviation of 4 PD. Results: This study included 60 patients with a family history of exotropia surgery and 60 matched controls with no such history. Notably, the log-rank test revealed no significant differences in surgical outcomes between the two groups (p = 0.622). Furthermore, clinical characteristics, including the onset of exotropia, degree of ocular deviation, and age at surgery, were similar between first- and second-born siblings. Furthermore, no significant differences were observed in surgical outcomes between the two groups (p = 0.540). Conclusions: Patients with a family history of exotropia surgery do not exhibit significantly different surgical outcomes compared to those with no such history. In addition, no significant differences were observed in surgical outcomes between the first- and second-born siblings.
경찰 과학 수사관의 직업과 관련된 감염증의 위험에 관한 연구(부패하기 시작한 죽은사체 샘플의 세균배양)

The unnatural dead body refers to a corpse which is suspicious of unusual death and the dead case has been occurred more than 20 thousands times every year during the recent five years and most of them are found decayed. Police Scientific Investigators investigate unnatural dead bodies and its surroundings in all-around way and determine whether the death is involved with a crime, and most of the Scientific Investigators are exposed to a danger to get infected with pathogenic bacteria which are generated during the decaying process of dead body and are mostly to cause serious injuries on human beings. In line with the fact, the present study conducted a bacterial analysis by collecting excretions from 60 dead bodies and culturing the bacteria to evaluate infection risk of the police agents. The study cultured bacteria from 60 bodies and classified pathogenic bacteria of 108 strains, and its main bacteria are found to be them (; Acinetobacter baumannii 20 strains (19%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 19 strains (18%), E. coli 18 strains (17%), Klebsiella pneumoniae 11 strains (10%), Proteus mirabillis 10 strains (9%), Enterococcus faecium 10 strains (9%), Staphylococcus aureus 9 strains (8%), Bacillus spp. 5 strains (5%), Streptococcus pneumoniae 3 strains (3%), Candida albicans 2 strains (2%), Mycobacterium tuberculosis 1 strains (1%)). The study results are expected to be used as educational data for preventing the Police Scientific Investigator from infections with bacteria or as a minimum data for improving work environment of the agents.

Electroplating chromium films in a trivalent chromium bath has been extensively investigated as a replacement for the conventional hexavalent chromium bath. However, commercialization of the trivalent chromium method has been hindered because the resulting chromium films exhibit inferior mechanical properties compared to hexavalent chromium coated film. In this study, we enhanced the properties of trivalent chromium electroplated film using a pulse-reverse (PR) method. Firstly, the cathodic current density needed to produce a shiny surface was optimized using direct current (DC) electroplating. After optimizing the cathodic current density, the appropriate anodic current density for PR electroplating needed to achieve optimum crack density and corrosion resistance was investigated. The chromium coating prepared using PR electroplating exhibited higher corrosion resistance than that prepared by DC electroplating, because it suppressed crack formation. Concerning the electrochemical corrosion behavior in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution, the optimized sample (PR2) electroplated at an anodic current density of 0.04 A cm-2 showed a corrosion potential shift of 129.9 mV to the anodic direction, and an increase in electrochemical corrosion resistance which was bigger than the chromium film prepared using DC electroplating. This optimization of electrochemical variables opens a new way to obtain improved electrodeposited film with low crack density and high corrosion resistance.
