Poultry welfare has recently appeared as worldwide concern as well as Korea. The recent action plan for farm animal welfare introduced by the European Commission intends to expand the body of regulatory standards. In this context, many countries and/or organization are on the verge of establishing the most optimum poultry welfare standards. To establish the most optimum standards, comparative analysis of feeding regimen before and after welfare-bestowed environment need to be preceded. Most guidelines or standards for poultry welfare do not suggest the nutritional requirements and feeding system in detail, although it is deterimental especially for the farmer. This review intends to find scientific base to establish detailed welfare feeding guidelines. However, only limited research has been conducted in the view of actual poultry welfare. The results indicated the incidence of SDS, ascites, skeletal dysfunctions caused by fast growth rate in broiler, feather pecking and cannibalism in laying hen, and feed restriction in broiler breeder could be reduced by changing nutritional regimen and feeding strategies or both. The regimen and feeding strategies are certainly near to the direction that the poultry welfare ought to be in the right track. In this article, feeding and drinking guidelines in many standards as well as welfare feeding experiments have been reviewed and compared In the view of chicken productivity, welfare physiology and poultry health.

아이템 메타데이터를 이용한 고성능 협력 추천 기법

본 논문에서는 기존의 협력 추천 기법에서 한계점으로 작용했던, 서비스 초기단계의 Data sparsity로 인한 추천 성능 저하 문제를 완화 시키는 방법으로, 아이템 메타데이터를 추천에 이용하는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 총 두 가지 형태의 아이템 메타데이터를 사용한다. 첫 번째는 아이템을 설명하는 짧은 문서 형태의 메타데이터이고, 두 번째는 아이템간의 연관성을 나타내는 링크 정보이다. 기존 추천 기법의 경우, 비교적 사용자의 숫자가 충분하지 못한 서비스 초기 단계에, 추천의 성능이 급격히 저하되는 문제를 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 사용자의 유입과 독립적으로 확보가 가능한 데이터인 아이템 메타데이터를 추천에 이용하는 방법을 제시하였다. 짧은 문서 형태의 메타데이터는 TF-IDF 벡터로, 링크 정보는 그래프 형태로 변환하여 아이템 간의 유사도 계산에 이용되었다. 실험 결과, 아이템 메타데이터를 사용함으로써 추천 성능을 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있었다. In this research, in a way that reduces the problem that acted as a limit in existing collaborative recommendation methods, a decrease in the recommendation performance by Data sparsity of the early stages of service, we propose a recommendation method using item-metadata. First is a short document format that describes the item, second is a link information indicating a relationship between items. In the early stages of recommendation service, the number of users was not sufficient; you have the problem that the performance of collaborative recommendation system decreases noticeably. To overcome these problems, we applied the method that recommends items using item-metadata that can be collected independently of the inflow of the user. Item-metadata that is short document format is converted to the TF-IDF vectors. On the other hand, link information is converted to a graphical format. Finally, Both were used to calculate the similarity between items. As a result, it was possible to effectively improve the performance of the recommendation by using the item-metadata.

중국의 지역별 기업경영효율성에 대한 연구

Regional integration is one of key factors affecting improvement and stability of the Chinese economic growth. In this paper, using Data Envelopment Analysis, the corporate technical efficiency of individual 31 regions are studied. Moreover, the correlation between the corporate efficiency index and business environmental factors are analysed. Our main findings are as follows. Firstly, the regional locations matter in deciding corporate technical efficiency, in which firms located in the east-coast area generally have better performances compared with firms in the mid-west area. Secondly, the corporate ownerships also have effects on the technical efficiencies. Foreign companies and privately owned companies have relatively superior efficiencies that the state owned companies. Thirdly, the state owned companies have little efficiency changes in the period 1999-2006, but those of the foreign companies are significantly decreased, witch means that the efficiency gaps among the different regions are widened. Lastly, the business innovation environments have become to have more significant positive effects on the corporate technical efficiency.

중국의 지역별 금융발전과 경제성장

Financial development is argued as a determinant factor for the economic growth. With a similar logic, regional financial development gap could be a explanatory variable to understand the regional income gap in China. Despite its vital role, regional financial development has not been well defined and studied yet, which seems to be largely attributed to lack of sufficient data. Using deposit to GDP ratio as a proxy index for the regional financial development, this paper has challenged to verify that the causal relations between a regional financial development and a regional income growth. From the empirical analysis, in the east-costal region, which is known as the most financially developed area, the cointegration relationship exists. This finding strongly suggests that the financial development and economic growth nexus could be an useful approach to explain the regional economic growth gap in China.

Design and Analysis of a Solenoid Valve for Submarine Direction Control

The solenoid valve used in a submarine direction control system consists of a solenoid coil, a coil core, a housing surrounding the outer of the coil, and a plunger as a driving part. The solenoid valve is a device that uses the magnetic force generated from the applied power to move the plunger, the driving part inside the valve, to control the flow of fluid. Therefore, the magnetic properties and structure of each part of the solenoid valve greatly affect the performance of this valve. In this paper, considering the material characteristics of each part of the solenoid valve, the design of the solenoid valve for a submarine direction change and the electromagnetic finite element numerical analysis applying the two-dimensional axisymmetric shape were performed.

김정은 시대 북한영화의 국외 교류·합작 현황과 특징

이 논문은 김정은이 집권을 시작한 2012년 초부터 북한 영화의 국외 교류·합작 현황과 그 특징을 알아보는 것을 목표로 하였다. 이를 위해서 총 8편의 극영화·다큐멘터리 작품, <김동무는 하늘을 난다>(2012), <산너머 마을>(2012), <평양에서의 약속>(2012), <안나, 평양에서 영화를 배우다>(2013), <태양 아래>(2015), <북녘의 내 형제 자매들>(2016), <마이클 페일린, 북한에 가다>(2018), <영광의 평양사절단>(2019)을 중심 분석 대상으로 설정하였다. 김정은 시대를 전후로 하여 북한은 여러 국가와의 관계 개선을 도모하고 있었다. 또한 국제적인 기준에 맞게 인민의 생활 수준을 향상하려는 ‘세계화’에 대한 검토도 이루어졌다. 하지만 이러한 노력이 외부의 시선까지는 바꾸어놓지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 이러한 경향을 교류·협력을 통해 제작된 영화 작품을 통해서도 확인해볼 수 있다. <김동무는 하늘을 날다>, <산너머 마을>, <평양에서의 약속>과 같은 장편 극영화는 북한이 개별 국가와의 친선을 꾀하였고, 이를 바탕으로 자국 영화 산업의 기술 발전과 인력 양성까지 도모하였음을 보여주는 사례이다. 한편 다큐멘터리 작품의 경우는 대다수가 원래 기획 의도와는 달리 북한을 비판적인 시각으로 대상화하여 그려내고 있음을 확인해볼 수 있었다. 요약해보면, 북한 영화계에서 국외 교류·합작 비중이 상대적으로 증가한 것은 사실이다. 전반적인 제작 편수가 감소한 가운데 꾸준하게 교류·합작이 시도되고 있기 때문이다. 그러나 이것이 김정은 이전 시기에 비해 색다른 경향을 드러내고 있다고 보기는 어렵다고 할 수 있다. 다만 북한 사회는 여러 가지 제한된 상황 속에서도 변화의 방향을 모색하고 있으며, 북한 영화계 역시 다양한 측면에서 새로운 시도를 이어가고 있다. 이러한 점을 긍정적으로 평가하며 김정은 시대의 북한을 이해해보아야 할 것이다. This paper aims to analyzes the current status and characteristics of international collaboration of North Korean films since 2012 when Kim Jong-un took power. To this end, Comrade Kim Goes Flying(2012), The Other Side Of The Mountain(2012), Meet in Pyongyang(2012), Aim High in Creation(2013), Under The Sun(2015), My Brothers and Sisters in the North(2016), Michael Palin in North Korea(2018), A Glorious Delegation to Pyongyang(2019) were analyzed. North Korea was seeking to improve relations with various countries before and after the Kim Jong-un era, and “globalization” was promoted to raise the standard of living for its people. However, such efforts have not changed the external prejudices. This trend can also be seen through film works produced through co-production and cooperation. Featured films such as Comrade Kim Goes Flying, The Other Side Of The Mountain, Meet in Pyongyang show that North Korea sought friendship with various countries and also promoted the development of film technology and train human resources in its film industry. In the case of documentary works, most of them look at North Korea from a critical perspective, contrary to their original planning intentions. It is true that the proportion of international co-production and cooperation in the North Korean film industry has increased relatively. This is because the number of films produced has decreased, and at the same time, international co-production and cooperation is steadily being attempted. However, it is hard to say that this is showing a different trend compared to the time before Kim Jong-un. Nevertheless, North Korean society is seeking direction of change despite various limited situations, and the North Korean film industry is also continuing to make new attempts in various aspects. We should positively evaluate this and understand North Korea under the Kim Jong-un era.
