Studies on Protein of Cheju mare's milk <SUMMARY> We have adopted to study patterns of milk protein, in order to preservation of cheju native mares. After that 1986, Cheju horses was designated to the a natural mounment No 347, there are research about its physical measurements, blood types, and meets. However, Cheju mare's milk was not study. Cheju mare's milk appeared to contain higher amount of protein and lactose, but lower amount of fat and mineral than that of Japan native Kiso horse. Show on Fast protein liquid chromatography(FPLC) showed that fraction patterns were different among cows, cheju mares and Thoroughbred. In result of native-PAGE and electrophoretogram, different patterns was observed with the above statement. particularly Cheju mares had one that of Thoroughbred. Polyacrylamide electrophoresis(PAGE) of Cheju mare's casein FPLC fraction showed that it is possible to separate by using MONO Q column in milk exception of a- s2 casein, but in Cheju mare's milk other methods will be necessary because of the lower separation of the a s2-casein.

The objective of this research is to increase productivity and improve quality of products, by studying the standard cupola operation condition with Anthracite and cokes as fuel, pig iron and steel scrap as raw material. The study was carried out using a 2.5 ton/hr capacity hot blast water cooled cupola. Cupola Operations were done on the following functional subjects to study the variation of chemical composition mechanical property and micro-structures. a. The effect of cokes as fuel by mixing pig iron with steel scrap. b. The effect of Anthracite as fuel by mixing pia iron with steel scrap, c. The effect of mixing cakes and Anthracite with steel scrap and pig iron. The optimum was found to be 50% Anthracite, 55% steel scrap and tuyere angle was 10∼15˚.

The study was investigated on the effect of austenitiaing and austempering conditions on retained austenite amount and carbon contents in retained austenite and simultaneously the effect of these variation on hardness, tensile and impact properties. A material of as-cast condition is composed of bull's eye structure with ferrite surrounding spheroidized graphite having about 5-10㎛ size and matrix structure of pearlite. Then, the contents of spheroidized graphite was about 5%. The retained austenite and carbon contents in the retained austenite were increased with the increasing of austenitizing and austempering temperatures, while the retained austenite showed the peak value and is decreased with increasing of austempering time. With increasing of austenitizing temperature, tensile strength, elongation and impact absorb energy increased and hardness was almost not changed, while with increasing of austempering temperature, tensile strength and hardness decreased, whereas elongation and impact absorb energy was increased. With increasing of retained austenite amount, the tensile strength is slowly decreased but elongation was increased with direct proportion. Also, Impact absorb energy is shown identity value untile about 18%, but rapidly increased above it. Elongation and Impact absorb energy are strongly controlled by the amount of retained austenite, but tensile strength is affected with various factors such as retained austenite amount and bainitic morphology.
