        The purpose of this study was to develop a new nursing unit which can meet changing health care needs, enhance patients' satisfaction and nurses' job satisfaction, and finally guarantee quality nursing care with present manpower. For this, one medical unit was selected as a unit for quality care. And one medical unit which is similar in staffing and patients' characteristics was selected as a control unit. To assess present problems and identify the remedies to the problems a hospital-wide survey and a workshop were performed. According to the survey results, educational programs and improvement of the facilities and equipment supply system, managereal support for interdepartmental cooperation and intensification of bed-side nursing care were adopted as main principles for operating model unit, This model unit was operated for 3 months from Sep. 1, 1992 to Nov. 30, 1992. To evaluate the effectiveness of the model unit, derect/indirect nursing care hours, patients' satisfaction to nursing care, nurses' job satisfaction, and quality care index were measured. Direct/indirect nursing care hours were compared with that of the control unit, and patients' and nurses' satisfaction and quality care index were measured before and after operating model unit and compared with each other. The results of the study were as follows; 1. In the model unit mean direct nursing care hours per cach shift was 146.88 minutes and indirect nursing care hours was 354.72 minutes. The ratio of the direct nursing care hour to indirect nursing hour was 29.6 ; 70.4 and that of the control unit was 26.9 : 73.1. Direct nursing care hour in model unit was longer than that of the control unit. But, the difference was not significant. In subcategories of direct nursing care, the time spent in mobility and exercise, conservation of body temperature, hygiene, and communication and health education were longer than that of the con" trol unit. 2. Indirect nursing care hour in model unit was shorter than that of the control unit. But, the difference was not significant. In subcategories of indirect nursing care, the time spent in drug management and ward arrangement was shorter than that of the control unit. 3. Patients' satisfaction to nursing care was increased significantly after operating the model unit (T=-3.48, P=-0.002) and satisfaction to subcategories of physical comfort measure, psychological cate, and unit management components were significantly higher than before. 4. In the model unit, nurses' total job satisfaction was increased significantly after operating the model unit(Z=2.1004, P=.0357) and satisfaction to subcategory of satisfaction to administration was significantly higher than before (Z=-2.0732, P=.0382). 5. After operating the model unit, quality care index was increased from 89 to 93. With this results, it can be summarized that all the measures tried for quality care, such as educational programs, managereal support for interdepartmental cooperation, and improvement of the equipment and facility provision resulted in partial increase in direct nursing care hours, nurses satisfaction to their job and patients' satisfaction to nursing care. In can be postulated that managereal support and motivation without proper staff supplementation is not enough for increasing direct nursing care hours. And for the enhancement of the level in clinical nursing, and staff supplement must be considered sincerely and the measures for reducing indirect nursing care hours, such as computerization of nursing care activities, improvement of facilities and equipment and facilities supply system, must be instituted in addition.

        외식업체의 서비스품질이 고객만족과 재방문의도, 구전의도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is were to identify the nature of the customer service quality of family restaurants, and based on it, to examine the relations among customer satisfaction, intention of revising, and intention of oral transmitting. For this purpose, the relation between the service quality of family restaurants and the customer satisfactionwas investigated through theoretical consideration on the customer service quality of family restaurants and customer satisfaction with resultant variables are examined, and then, an efficient and effective strategic framework was suggested to improve the customer service quality of family restaurant. Through the present study the effects of the service quality of family restaurants on customer satisfaction, and its relation with resultant varibles which are the intention of revising and oral tranmitting were examined, and the results suggests as follows. First, the factors of service quality that affect customer satisfaction are personnel service, menu service and extra service in the orderof intensity. Second, the result of analyzing the relation between customer of satisfaction and the intention of revisiting, customer satisfaction appeared th have a significant effect on the intention of revising. Third, according to the result of analysing the relation between customer satisfaction and the intention of oral transmitting, customer satisfaction appeared to have a significant effect on the intention of oral transmitting. Fourth, according to the result of verifying the relation between the intention of revisiting and the intention of oral transmitting, the two intentions were in positive(+) correlation with each. Fifth, acording to th result fo analysing the relation among the service quality factors, the intention of revising and the intention of oral transmitting, the factors affecting customers` intention of revisiting and oral transmitting appeared to be menu service, personnel service and extra service in the order of intensity.

        대한급식소의 품질속성과 운영형태에 따른 만족도의 비교 연구

        The purpose of this study is to present and operation forms appropriated for the college lunch program tailored to customers. For this purpose, it attempted to analyze the degree of importance and satisfaction with the attributes of service quality for school lunch and comparing forms of operation to attain the efficient college-lunch management system. Based on the findings, an attempt was made to make several suggestions as follows: First, the reason why college students used the college lunch program was low prices, and the savings of time due the proximity of the lunch station on campus. Second, the evaluative attributes of lunch-program service quality of which its users thought importantly included sanitation, cleanliness and menu diversity. Third, the evaluative factors of service quality able to raise the overall degree of the college-lunch program included food quality, menu diversity and price. Fourth, it was found that respondents had the high level of satisfaction with the college lunch program under operation by consignment as a result of the research on the college-lunch program currently in progress by operational form.

        우리나라에서의 크루즈 개발 방향과 시장확대전략에 관한 연구

        This study was based on the theoretical investigations, case studies and interviews by several ship company`s staffs. This study has worked with two purposes; first, to suggest the directions of cruise development, second, to present cruise market enlargement strategies in Korea. The one is as follows; it is desired that cruise ship is developed by used vessel or charter ship or consortium. And the popularity of cruising is expected to fuel the rate of private and government investment in port infrastructure, new ship, destinations, itineraries, and tourism-related services. The other is as follows; The keys to cruise market enlargement are needed a variety of cruise course and by differentiating the product on the basis of image, physical attributes of the product, service level, or location, cruise lines can gain a competitive advantage. In order to obtain service excellence cruise lines are scrupulous about the training of one`s personnel. Being a major source of tourist information and a vital channel of distribution for cruise, it is imperative that cruise operators work closely with travel agents to promote and sell cruises. The marketing and promotion of cruise will require the cooperation of both the private and public sector to increase the demand for cruise travel. Also pricing of cruise needs to control customer demand through price policy and differentiations of price in high -season and shoulder- season.

        호텔한식당 직원의 교육훈련에 대한 지각이 직무만족과 조직몰입, 고객지향성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of educational training on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and customer orientation in Korean restaurants. The sample was obtained during the two month periods from August 16th 2005 to October 15th 2005 and out of 300 copies of the questionnaire, 214 copies responded with sincerity were made an object of the analysis. The results of the study were as follows. Firstly, teaching skills of trainers, training environment and training contents had an positive impact on the job satisfaction Secondly, training environment and training contents significantly effected on organizational commitment. Teaching skills of trainers, training contents had influence on customer orientation. Finally, job satisfaction and organizational commitment perceived by employees had effect on the customer orientation as well.

        호텔 컨벤션 선택 속성에 관한 연구

        As the hotel and tourism industries are maturing there is a greater awareness of the importance of the convention industry. The tourism industry is slowly opening up to foreigners and the industry is beginning to realize that hosting conventions can be a major source of revenue. The hosting of conventions will improve tourism facilities and infrastructure. As a result participants will increase their spending. Therefore, conventions are becoming more and more popular as people are realizing how lucrative it is. However, hotel managers should try to understand the industry and work closely with convention planners in order to maintain or increase their revenue. This study focuses on what attributes of hotels are important in the selection process by convention planners. This study also examines which attributes are more important. The tool of statistics for the analysis were frequency analysis, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA analysis. This study found that the following items are important attributes; facilities, quality of service, atmosphere of the hotel and price. Also, they found that hotel support and employee professionalism are also important. In this study convention includes international conferences and convention planners.         This article is on the nature and the value of Korean dance shown in the history, the folk custom, and the culture, which is related to the science. Dance has the cosmic-natured realm, the realm of life. The Whole-Scientific territory, the scientific and analytic structure, is fused with that realm. Accordingly, dance includes the realm of mind and the exercise of Chi(氣) as a whole, along with the property of the Whole-Science that excels the paradigm of existing science. The realms of dance and science are inseparable. Science is fused with dance. In conclusion, Korean dance must be viewed with the overall concept of Whole-Science that can not be explained by existing western science. Existing western science has to return to the original concept of science and change the paradigm itself. By this, science will be able to include the infinite human life exercise developing to the realm of the cosmic life.
