        화장품 소재(Petroleum Jelly, Micro-crystaline wax, Stearic acid)를 이용한 조소 조성물(Sculpture Materials)의 응용에 관한 연구

        This paper is studied about the sculpture materials made of petroleum jelly and micro-crystalline wax which are used for cosmetic materials, utilizing their characteristics - less alteration than animal oil, stability for oxidation, being solid at room temperature and high melting point. It is proved that petroleum jelly and microcrystalline wax compensate the defects of elements of endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as ordinary clay, rubber clay, color mix, and resin clay. It is also guaranteed that they are available for sculpture materials which contain the cosmetic-like protective effect on skin. After the materials containing petroleum jelly and microcrystalline wax are applied to skin and the outcome is examined, the loss of trans-epidermal water of the skin was decreased in the palm, back of the hand, and A, B, D formulations. The increase in the amount of water and oil capacity of the skin was found in the same samples. PH levels of these materials remain stable ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 on average in the palm, back of the hand, and A, B, D formulations, and a primary skin irritation test on rabbit showed their non-irritating features. Unlike the traditional carving materials having been used so far, these petroleum jelly and micro-crystalline wax provide a high-quality protective effect on skin comparable to the cosmetics'. They are found to be practical for sculpture materials as well as for people who have to be exposed to this job due to their moisturizing characteristics and safety as cosmetic ingredients.

        Amentoflavone의 항염증 및 세포 보호 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the potential of amentoflavone as a material of cosmetic and medicine in oxidative stress conditions by confirming the effects of anti-inflammation and cytoprotection. Methods: To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of amentoflavone, the expression of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6 was measured by qRT-PCR. Additionally, we performed NF-κB promoter luciferase assay to check the expression of NF-κB. To confirm the cytoprotective effects, p53 siRNA transfection was conducted to determine the relation between p53 and 14-3-3σ. Moreover, we performed cell cycle analysis to examine the effect of amentoflavone on 14-3-3σ mRNA expression and cell cycle arrest. Results: The expression of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α, IL-6, and NF-κB was decreased in a dose dependent manner. In case of cytoprotection, amentoflavone reduced the expression of p53 mRNA. We confirmed the positive correlation between p53 and 14-3-3σ by p53 siRNA transfection. As the expression of 14-3-3σ mRNA was decreased by amentoflavone, the cell cycle progression was restored from the cell cycle arrest. Conclusion: As mentioned above, amentoflavone decreased the expression of inflammatory and cell-damaging factors, and restored the cell cycle progression. Consequently, we found out that amentoflavone can be a valuable material possessing effects of anti-inflammation and cytoprotection in cosmetic and medicine. 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 amentoflavone의 항염증 및 세포 보호 효과를 확인하여 화장품, 의약품 원료로서의 가능성을 검증하는데 있다 . 방법: Amentoflavone의 항염증 효과를 확인하기 위하여, qRT-PCR를 이용하여 TNF-α, IL-6와 같은in flammatory cytokine의 발현량을 측정하였다. 그리고 NF-κB의 발현량을 확인하기 위해 NF-κB rpomoter luciferase assay를 수행하였다. 세포 보호 효과를 확인하기위해서, p53 siRNA transfection을 수행하여 p53 과 14-3-3σ의 상관관계를 확인하였고, cell cycle analysis를 통해 amentoflavone 이 14-3-3σ mRNA 발현 및 cell cycle arrest에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 결과: TNF-α, IL-6 및 NF-κB와 같은 염증관련 인자들의 발현은 amentoflavone에 의해 농도의존적으로 감소하였다. 세포 보호와 관련해서, amentoflavone의 p53 mRNA 발현 억제 효과를 확인하였고,p 53 siRNA transfection을 통해 p53와 14-3-3σ의 양의 상관관계를확인하였다. 또한, amentoflavone에 의해 14-3-3σ mRNA의 발현이 감소함에 따라, cell cycle arrest 상태에서 cell cycle progresosni 상태로 회복되었다. 결론: 상기 연구에 따르면, amentoflavone은 염증 및 세포 손상에 영향을 주는 인자들의 발현을 억제하고, ce ll cycle progression 을 회복시키는 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 항염증 및 세포 보호 효과를 가진 amentoflavone은 화 장품 및 의약품 원료로서 활용가능할 것으로 사료된다.

        화장품 소재 개발을 위한 amentoflavone의 항산화 및 항주름 효과 연구

        Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the potential of amentoflavone as an antiaging material for cosmetics through examining antioxidant and antiwrinkle effects. Methods: To check the antioxidant and antiwrinkle effects of amentoflavone, we performed various experiments such as in vitro antioxidant assays, quantitative real-time PCR, SA-β-galactosidase assay, and DCF-DA assay. Results: We confirmed that the cell viability of amentoflavone is increased in cytotoxic condition. Amentoflavone also had an antioxidant effect like BHT. The expression in mRNA level of antioxidant enzymes such as SOD1 and CAT was increased in a dose-dependent manner. In case of wrinkle, the expression in mRNA level of MMP1 and MMP3 was decreased but the expression of COL1A1 was dose-dependently increased. Also, amentoflavone markedly reduced the expression of SA-β-galactosidase. Conclusion: As mentioned above, we found that amentoflavone had effects on preventing skin aging and thought that amentoflavone can be a valulable material for antiaging cosmetics. 목적: 본 연구는 항산화 및 항주름 효과검증을 통해 amentoflavone의 노화예방 화장품 소재로서의 발전가능성을 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법: amentoflavone의 항산화 및 항주름 효과를 확인하기 위해i n vitro antioxidant assays, quantitative real-time PCR, SA- β-galactosidase assay, DCF-DA assay를 수행하였다. 결과: amentoflavone은 0.2 mM의 H2O2 처리 시, 15 μM농도까지 농도 의존적으로 세포 생존율을 증가시켰으며, 양성 대조군인BHT와 유사한 항산화 효과를 나타냈다. 유전자 수준에서 대표적 항산화 효소인S OD1 mRNA와 CAT mRNA의 발현을 농도 의존적으로 증가시켰다. 콜라겐 분해와 관련된 MMP1 mRNA와 MMP3 mRNA의 발현은 농도 의존적으로 감소시켰으나 콜라겐 합성과관련된 COL1A1 은 농도 의존적으로 증가시켰다. 또한 0.2 mM의 H2O2 에 의해 유발된 진피섬유아세포의 노화를 농도 의존적으로감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 이상의 결과들을 통해, amentoflavone이 농도 의존적으로 H2O2 에 의해 손상된 인간진피섬유아세포에 대한 항산화, 항주름효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 그러므로 amentoflavone은 노화예방 효능을 가진 천연유래 화장품 원료로서 활용가능하리라고 사료된다.

        Centella asiatica 추출물을 함유한 화장품이 20대 남녀의 염증성 여드름 및 홍반개선에 미치는 효과

        In this study, we examined the fast soothing effect of Centella asiatica (C. asiatica) extracts on the red spot, the most typical symptom of skin irritation after short inflammation, and its general effects on the skin. C. asiatica has been reported to use for various purposes such as skin and scar treatment, memory reinforcement, and others. For the study, 18 men and women who are in 20`s and have the inflammatory acne on the skin with easily noticeable red spots were selected. Gel masks, emulsion lotion, and toner which were made with or without extracts of C. asiatica were applied to their faces. The results of this study show that extracts of C. asiatica have the whitening effect by alleviating the red spots on the face and reducing the melanin index, improves the pores, and enhances the overall acne grade. Therefore this study may provide a useful information for not only improving the inflammatory acne skin by using the C. asiatica extracts but also developing cosmetics related to the skin reproduction after soothing, given that the cosmeceuticals has come to the spotlight in the cosmetics industry recently.

        미용과 중등학교 교사 신규임용 후보자 선정 경쟁시험 출제 문항 분석 -2011학년도 교과교육학 문항을 중심으로-

        To select highly qualified teaching staff is important because it influences not only the quality of teachers but also the quality of education in Korea. Teachers have a great responsibility which they must develop future leader who lead our society. Therefore the teacher recruitment examination for secondary school is crucial to select right people for the position. But the teacher recruitment examination for secondary school has only contributed to fulfilling the quantitative supplies not improvement of teachers' professional qualifications and ability. Beauty Science in teacher recuruitment examination for secondary schools should be valid, highly district and reliable to determine their qualifications and abilities. According to this, the purpose of this study is to find out the problems of the teacher recruitment examination for secondary school and to suggest the improvements of the test. So teachers-to-be who are preparing for the test will have necessary information and the test will be worthy of public trust. The conclusion summarized about this study are below: First, the total score ratio of Beauty Science Education Discipline item equated to the total score ratio which Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation suggested Second, analyzed items according to evaluation field and evaluation content factors were fluid and unstable. Analyzed each items totally after classified them into evaluation content factors which Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation suggested, most of them were not level of 'complex knowledge or comprehention' but 'simple knowledge or memory'.

        성인남녀의 발효화장품에 대한 인식과 사용실태에 관한 연구

        This study investigated adults’cognition on and usage of fermented cosmetics in Korea. The subject was 419men and women, that is to say, 316 women and 103 men, in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. 2-weeks questionnairesurvey was done to investigate buying patterns and satisfaction of user group of fermented cosmetics, andcharacteristics and future access of the cosmetics of non-user group. More than half of the interviewees heardfermented cosmetics with less experience of the use. Men cognized the cosmetics less than women did, andthe former experienced less use. The interviewees thought of ‘safety ingredient for the skin of the cosmeticshaving plenty of effective ingredients’. The interviewees thought that efficacy and effect of fermentedcosmetics were not satisfactory at the use than expected that should be improved as soon as possible. But,many interviewees did not experience efficacy of fermented cosmetics enough yet: In other words, morethan half of the users made use of the cosmetics 1 to less than 3 months, and many interviewees wanted tobuy fermented cosmetics again in the future. And, 50.8% of non-user group of the fermented cosmetics didnot cognize difference of quality between common cosmetics and fermented cosmetics, and 47.5% of themthought that fermented cosmetics would have better quality, and more than half of the interviewees wantedto buy fermented cosmetics in the future: So, most of non-user group of fermented cosmetics wanted to buyfermented cosmetics and did not cognize advantages of the cosmetics enough. And, the interviewees whohad no idea of buying of fermented cosmetics said that they were satisfied with current cosmetics products,so that enough public relations of efficacy and effect of fermented cosmetics would be likely to let the usersbuy fermented cosmetics in the future. In this study, users cognized fermented cosmetics to have good imageand expectation effect and to have less use. And, users wanted to buy fermented cosmetics in the future, andcognized less quality difference between common cosmetics and fermented cosmetics to require not onlypublic relations of efficacy and effect of fermented cosmetics but also systematic strategy depending upongender and age. The study may help develop fermented cosmetics products according to buying behaviordepending upon gender and age to be basic material of the marketing.

        루이보스 추출물이 중년 남성의 지루성 두피 개선에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 루이보스 추출물이 지루성 두피가 있는 중년 남성의 두피 유, 수분량, 가려움증, 붉음증, 청백색 두피 톤 등에 미치는 효과를 규정하고자 시도하였다. 루이보스 추출물을 함유하지 않은 샴푸를 사용한 Control군과 루이보스 추출 물을 함유한 샴푸를 사용한 RS군, 루이보스 추출믈을 함유한 샴푸와 두피 개선제를 사용한 RS+S군으로 구분하여 실험을 진행하였다. 본 연구결과 두피의 유분량, 수분량, 각질제거에 의한 두피 표면에 변화, 두피 가려움증, 두피 붉음증, 두피 청백 색 두피톤에 대하여 Control군에서는 유의한 두피 변화가 나타나지 않았으나, 루이보스를 함유한 샴푸와 두피개선제를 모두 사용한 RS+S군에서 루이보스가 첨가된 샴푸만 사용한 RS군보다 지루성 두피 개선에 큰 개선율을 보이는 것으로 확인되었 다. 이와같은 결과는 루이보스 추출물을 함유한 샴푸 및 두피 개선제가 지루성 두피의 유, 수분 밸런스를 개선해주고, 두피의 가려움증이나 붉음증, 두피톤을 효과적으로 개선시켜 줌에 따라 추후 항산화 활성 성분을 가진 지루성 두피 개선에 효과적인 두피용 화장품 소재로써의 가능성이 있음이 사료된다. This study conducted a 4-week clinical trial on 30 males suffering from seborrheic dermatitis and hair loss symptoms to examine the effects of rooibos extract on the seborrheic dermatitis improvement of 30-50 year old middle aged males. The comparison group used shampoo with no rooibos extract while experiment group 1 used shampoo including rooibos extracts, and experiment group 2 used shampoo and scalp enhancer including the rooibos extracts. The results showed that there were no meaningful changes on the scalps of the comparison group while experiment group 2, which used both shampoo and scalp enhancer including rooibos, showed better improvement on seborrheic dermatitis than experiment group 1 which only used shampoo including rooibos. These results imply that shampoo and scalp enhancer including rooibos extracts effectively improve the oil-moisture balance on seborrheic dermatitis and effectively deals with scalp itchiness redness and the color tone of the scalp, suggesting its use in scalp cosmetics that include antioxidation activation elements, which are effective in improving seborrheic dermatitis.
