The purpose of this study was to develop the computer program to compare physical fitness of Hanyang Academy Employes with it's mean of korean people, and to promote physical fitness with motivation and interest in the physical fit- ness of them. But if user should be tested self-level of physical fitness, this program can't be use for physical fitness by assisting tile research institute for sport science on Hanyang University. This program were divided into 4 domains, tile first is area for comparison ac- cording to the way of attendance to office, the second is area for comparison physique and obesity, the third is area for comparison physical fitness with korean people's mean. The final is area for exercise prescription. As added, we want to serve the physical fitness promotion of Hanyang academy employes using this program.

연기자의 신체표현력 향상을 위한 한국춤 훈련의 모형 개발에 관한 연구

Actors, who are required to have a fundamental knowledge and study about their own body as a mean of expression, should display organized and unified body images through intense physical training. A variety of physical training methods as a training method in theater have been developed in the western and oriental. Especially, professional physical training methods among the act training methods which were well organized in 20th have focused on the development to improve the respiration, concentration, physical flexibility and rhythm. The most common part between dancer and actor is to express by using a body and their movements. Many training methods for improving the physical quality of the dancers had been developed because dance was based on the physical movements. These training methods could applied to training the actor for improving their physical expression and recognition. In this study, the necessity and purpose for dance education were studied for the development of physical training methods for actor. The definition and method of physical training for actor were collected and reviewed from the western and oriental theater. In addition, dance training process and dance theory for actors were provided to understand the necessity of dance training for actors. Finally, the result of investigations about present status of dance training in university theater programs was presented. In conclusion, further studies must be necessary in near future for developing systemized dance training methods for university theater programs.

External Moment Force Pulley System Free-Weight Training Method의 속도별 훈련을 통한 근파워 발달의 효율성에 관한 비교 연구

본 연구는 External Movement Force Pulley System(EMFPS)과 Free-Weight Training Method(FWTM)가 속도별 훈련(Slow/Fast)에 따라 근파워의 발달에 어떻게 기여하는지를 결정하기 위해서 시도되었다. 고등학교 남학생 25명과 여학생 7명을 연구의 대상으로 선정하고, 이를 다시 4개 집단으로 임의 분류하여 주 3회, 7주 동안 훈련을 시켰다. 각 대상자들의 파워측정은 훈련전·후에 실시되었다. 측정분석의 결과를 살펴보면, 각 훈련방법이 모두 파워의 향상을 가져왔으며 특별히 빠른속도비의 EMFPS 트레이닝은 수직 점프수행에서 최고의 향상을 나타냈다(P<.05). 구체적인 연구 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다; (1) 수직 점프수행 능력은 빠른 속도비의 EMFPS 트레이닝시에 최고 향상되었다. (2) 근파워발달은 트레이닝의 속도비에 그다지 영향을 받지 않았다. (3) 모든 트레이닝 프로그램시에 RT, MT, 그리고 수직 점프수행 능력이 향상되었다. 특별히 RT, MT는 부하를 높일수록 그 향상 정도가 뚜렷했다.

This paper investigates Mark Twain's critical attitude toward Southern American society with its slavery by analyzing his two major novels, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. These two novels share the common theme of slavery, and more significantly, illustrate the gradual change of Twain's deepening pessimistic views on human nature and social institutions. The first chapter deals with Twain's social criticism, paying close attention to the cruel and inhumane tendencies of the South and slavery as shown in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Through many episodes we can see the problems of slavery and Jim's symbolic meaning on the raft floating on the Mississippi. We can also trace how Twain deals with the relation between the white and the colored, using the raft-journey as a literary device to reveal slavery. Jim's escape form Miss Watson and Huck's final decision mean a pungent attack to slavery. The next chapter deals the problematic traits of slavery, the social institution of European medieval society, as shown in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. In this novel, Twain directly criticizes monarchy, aristocracy and an authoritarian church of King Arthur's England, but he presents the slavery of England as the allegory of American slavery through the allusion to American society. In conclusion, we can read slavery the universal vice of all times. Like this, Twain is essentially a fine social critic. Focusing on the evils of slavery, he has attempted to expose social degradation and criticize his own contemporary society. His cynical attitude continues to appear in most of his novels through the emphasis of human cruelty or the mistrust of human nature.

윌리엄 셰익스피어의 성품 연구 —전기적 사실을 중심으로

This paper aims at examining the biographical facts of Shakespeare to understand his personality. This study mainly focuses on the documents about Shakespeare, but they may be insufficient for this research because there rarely remain the formal materials about him. However, we can get them from four sources of information: his works, the comments, tradition and gossip, and documentary records. Through those materials, we can guess that Shakespeare was a kind, gentle, and sociable man. Though Robert Greene attacked Shakespeare indirectly in his article, none of his contemporaries except Greene spoke ill of him. He behaved himself and had a touch of humanity in his words and behavior. The contemporaries who knew him complimented him using the word “gentle.” Apart from his kind nature, he had a rational and practical attitude. While he worked as a dramatist in London, he did not live a dissipated life. On the contrary, he managed his property and increased it successfully. As a result, he became the owner of a mansion, The New Place, and a rich man possessing the large farmland at Stratford-upon-Avon. On this ground, Shakespeare seems to have been a kind, ‘gentle,’ and sociable person, and besides a man of complex personality with a rational and practical attitude.
