This study was to investigate the radiation effects of perovskite photoactive layers andunit cells. To evaluate morphological, electrical and long-term air-stability of three kinds of perovskitephotoactive materials, we conducted SEM, J-V and ambient endurance analyses. There were no morphologicalchanges of perovskite active layers after gamma irradiation up to 50 kGy compared to those ofpristine perovskite active layers. However, cell-performances were gradually decreased with increasinggamma irradiation doses due to the reduction of transmittance values of glass/ITO substrates. Amongthe three kinds of perovskite active materials, higher methylammonium (MA) contents showed morereduced power conversion efficiency and lower air-stability with increasing gamma irradiation doses.

This study was to investigate the radiation effects of interfacial materials widely used innext generation photovoltaic cells. To evaluate film morphology, atomic contents, work-function valuesand charge carrier mobility of PEDOT : PSS, PrGO and SrGO-based hole transport interfacial materials,we conducted AFM, TEM, XPS, UPS and SCLC analyses, respectively. As a result, we found that filmmorphologies of the above interfacial materials showed a similar RMS roughness values regardlessof gamma irradiation up to 20 kGy. In addition, work-function values of PEDOT : PSS was increased withan increase in gamma irradiation due to the destruction of aromatic structure of PEDOT segments. Thework-function value of PrGO was increased when irradiated up to 10 kGy gamma irradiation, however;further gamma irradiation to 20 kGy leads to decrease in work-function of PrGO due to reduction reactionof PrGO material. On the other hands, there was a similar work-function values for the SrGO interfacialmaterial with and without gamma irradiation. To evaluate charge carrier mobility of PEDOT : PSS, PrGOand SrGO, we fabricated hole-only devices. As a result, carrier mobility of PEDOT : PSS material wasgradually decreased with increasing gamma irradiation dose due to destruction of resonance structure ofPEDOT segments. On the other hands, carrier mobility values of PrGO and SrGO-based hole-only deviceshad very similar values regardless of gamma irradiation.

Morphological, optical, and electrical properties of solution-processed reduced graphene oxide (r-GO)thin-films are investigated by varying on the number of spin-coating cycles and annealing temperature. Spin-coated r-GO thin-films all show full-covered morphologies with highly small rms roughness valuesranging from 1 to 2.5 nm. The sheet resistance of r-GO films can be controlled over two orders ofmagnitude by controlling both the spin-coating cycles and annealing temperature while conserving thetransmittance values of 57–87%. The combination of coating cycles and heat-treatment temperaturemake the r-GO films as a useful transparent hole-extraction electrode for the application to organicphotovoltaic cells.

This study was to investigate the effect of ionizing radiation on the structure and filtrationperformance of KF94 respiratory mask using the 2.5 MeV electron beam accelerator. From the SEMand TGA analyses, all filters showed no significant and measurable structural changes irradiated up to24 kGy in air and vacuum conditions. However, compared to the pristine KF94 mask, filtration efficiencyof electron beam treated KF94 masks was decreased from 99.4% to ~55~67% due to the reduction ofelectrostatic force by ionizing radiation.
