        12주간 지구성 트레드밀 운동이 고혈압쥐 대동맥의 Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ발현에 미치는 영향

        윤아람, 박희근, 이영란, 권순미, 장학영, 이위, 이상기, 이왕록, 전종귀. 12주간 지구성 트레드밀 운동이 고혈압 쥐 대동맥의 Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ 발현에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제21권 제3호. 355-364, 2012. 본 연구의 목적은 12주간 지구성 트레드밀 운동이 고혈압 쥐 대동맥의 PPARγ 발현에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이와 관련된 염증성 사이토카인과 항산화 단백질 발현의 변화를 살펴 보기 위하여 실시하였다. 실험동물은 정상혈압 통제군(WKY control; WC), 정상혈압 운동군(WKY exercise; WE), 고혈압 통제군(SHR control; SC), 고혈압 운동군(SHR exercise; SE) 4집단으로 구성하고, 각 집단 간 8마리씩 무선배정 하였다. 지구성 운동 집단은 16m/min, 0 % grade, 5일/주, 30~60분간 총 12주 동안 트레드밀 운동을 실시하였다. 마지막 운동 24시간 후 모든 집단을 희생시키고, PPAR-γ, MCP-1, TNF-α, IL-1β, Mn-SOD, HSP70 단백질의 발현을 측정하였다. 대동맥에서 PPAR-γ 단백질의 발현은 정상혈압과 고혈압군 모두 운동에 의해 증가되었다. MCP-1과 TNF-α는 고혈압군에서 만 감소되는 것으로 나타났으며 IL-1β는 그룹 간 유의한 차이가 없었다. Mn-SOD, HSP70은 정상혈압과 고혈압군 모두 운동에 의해 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 12주간의 지구성 운동은 고혈압 쥐의 대동맥에서 PPAR-γ 발현을 증가시킴에 따라 염증성 사이토카인의 발현을 억제하고 항산화 단백질의 발현을 증가시켜 혈압을 낮추는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 시사한다. Yoon, A. R., Park, H. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of PPAR-γ, inflammatory cytokines and antioxidant proteins in aorta by 12 weeks of endurance exercise training, The Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY, n=16) and Spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR, n=16) were divided into 4 groups; WKY control (WC), WKY exercise (WE), SHR control (SC), SHR exercise (SE), and submitted to treadmill exercise for 12 weeks (5 days/week, 30~60 min/day), Every other weeks, body weight and systolic blood pressure were measured. 24 hours after last exercise, all rats were sacrificed then, blood lipid profiles were measured and the expression of PPAR-γ, inflammatory cytokines and antioxidant proteins were analyzed by western blotting. The expression of PPAR-γ of WE and SE were significantly increased compared with WC and SC. MCP-1 and TNF-α were significantly decreased in SE, but IL-1β shows no differences, Mn-SOD and HSP70 were significantly increased by exercise in WE and SE. Therefore, we suggested that endurance exercise could increase the PPARγ expres sion and decrease the inflammatory cytokines and increase antioxidant proteins and it plays a important role in ameliorating the hypertension.

        일회성 중강도 달리기 운동 시 운동 지속시간에 따른 항산화 능력의 변화

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the kinetics of reactive oxygen species and total antioxidant capacity during acute moderate treadmill running. Twelve healthy men ran treadmill at a intensity of 70% of the participant’s VO2max for 90 minutes. Blood samples were taken from finger in pre-exercise, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes of exercise for measuring the blood lactate, derivatives of Reactive Oxygen Metabolites (d- ROM), and biological antioxidant potential (BAP). During the treadmill running, respiratory gas analysis was also performed. independent t-test and one-way ANOVA were performed to compare the differences. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The differences between pre and post training were significant in reactive oxygen and total antioxidant capacity(p<.05) 2. The changes of reactive oxygen were significantly increased by aerobic training, and there were significant differences among exercise durations(p<.05). 3. The changes of total antioxidant capacity were not significant differences between training intensity groups(p>.05), and there were significant differences among exercise durations(p<.05). As shown above, the occurrence of reactive oxygen and total antioxidant were altered by exercise duration. In other words, the occurrence of reactive oxygen species were significantly increased in 30 minutes of exercise and total antioxidant capacity was significantly increased in 60 minutes of exercise. In conclusion, within 60 minutes of exercise might be suitable for the beginners in the point of the defending the cell against reactive oxygen by exercise.

        재활용 천연 염료를 이용한 모발의 염색성 시연

        The purpose of this study is to find the possibility of developing and using recycled natural hairdye as an alternative solution to the hair damage by the use of chemical hairdye and environmental pollution by the remnants of hairdye. First, alum and bean curd were separately added to onion skin extracts as mordant. The L-values(luminosity) of the recycled hairdyes were 49.1 and 43.9, respectively, and 46.6 for chemical hairdye. The a-values (red line) were +14.9, +14.6, and +12.1, respectively, and the b-values (yellow line) were +45.9, +29.3, and +26.3, respectively. Second, when we compare the grape skin extracts to which alum and bean curd were separately added with the chemical hairdye. The L-values were 39.2, 40.3, and 22.5, respectively. The a-values were +10.0, +12.7, and +9.7, respectively, and the b-values were +18.8, +21.8, and +4.9, respectively. Third, we compared the remnants of roasted bean coffee to which alum and bean curd were added with chemical hairdye. The L-value, a-value, and b-value of chemical hairdye were the lowest at 17.1, +2.5, and +0.6. Fourth, we compared Chinese ink to which alum and bean curd were added with chemical hairdye. The L-value, a-value, and b-value of chemical hairdye were the lowest at 16.3, +0.2, and -0.9. Like the results for remnants of roasted bean coffee, the coloring rate of chemical hairdye was high at low L-value. This shows that the chemical hairdye is effective for coloring at low L-value. The results of this study confirmed the possibility of using recycled natural hairdyes for colors with high L-value, and there were no difference between the values of recycled natural hairdyes and chemical hairdye at high luminosity. Therefore, it is believed that these recycled natural hairdyes will be useful as new hairdyes.

        미국 텔레비전 시트콤 여배우들의 성격과 헤어스타일의 연관성 - Sex & the City를 중심으로 -

        < Sex & the City > which tells about the love, career, and life of women in their 20s and 30s has 4 main female characters. These 4 characters have had an influence not only on the hair and fashion styles of Korean women in their 20s and 30s but also the way they think. It seems that the desire of Korean women to accept the Western culture after the Korean War is similar to their wanting to imitate the hair styles and thought of characters in the American TV dramas or sitcoms. In this regard, this paper examines the relations between the images of women and the images that different hair styles give. The correlations between the characters and hair styles of the 4 main figures in < Sex & the City > are turned out to be as follows: First, Carrie Bradshaw, a sex columnist has a liberal and expressive character. She has her own styling so unique as to relieve stress by buying luxury shoes. And her chic fashion styles are added to her image. Accordingly, her hair style is not tied up to a certain one but shows a wide range of styles from straight to curly and diverse updos. Carrie shows the best styling fit to T.P.O(Time, Place, Occasion) and hair styles of extrovert women which are not stereotyped. Second, Samantha Jones is a brand PR director who has much self-respect. With daring fashion styles which reveal her body line and big accessories, she expresses her confidence. She sticks to medium―length hair but shows diverse hairdos from curly to straight depending on styles. Using the straight style of cold look and the curly style of mild look, she shows the extreme looks. Third, Miranda Hobbes is a lawyer of a strong image. She enjoys suits and short hair which go well with an image of a lawyer. Having the least diverse hair styles of the 4 figures, she shows changes in hair style when wearing a makeup and when doing nothing. Although she demonstrates the increased rights of women, by showing unkempt looks quite often she shows the negative side of increased women’s rights. Fourth, Charlotte York is a gallery curator of an introvert image. Having the romantic look blended with elegant elements, she sticks to the medium-length, non-layered brunette. The most glamorous look she has shown is the big curly hair. She expresses her styles using a hair band or having updos. Her non-layered hair reflects her conservative character as she is; comparing to the liberal styles of Carrie or Samantha, the neat pony-tail style Charlotte enjoys shows her character as well.

        모발미용이 모발의 표면구조와 미생물의 오염에 미치는 영향

        Virgin hairs or beauty-treated hairs that are permanent wave, coloring, bleaching and coating were left inside and outside of laboratory for 7 days. Ten-times diluted chemicals for bleaching and coloring inhibited bacterial growth but did not yeast growth. Viable cell number of bacterial cells contaminated the virgin or the various beauty-treated hairs were maximal 106/g hair and minimal 104/g hair, which was determined by most probable number (MPN) method. The bacterial cells contaminated human hairs were observe with fluorescence light microscope after DAPI (4’, 6-diamindino-2-phenylindole) staining. Hair surface structure was not significantly changed by the permanent wave, coloring, bleaching and coating, which was definitely discriminated by DAPI staining and microscopic observation. Microorganism contamination level was not influenced by the beauty treatments and related to the chemical agents used for beauty treatments.

        폐 모발에서 추출한 멜라닌을 이용한 염모기술의 개발

        본 연구의 목적은 버려지는 인모로부터 추출한 멜라닌 색소를 이용한 천연염색기술을 개발하는 것이다. 미용실과 이발소에서 사람의 머리를 다듬는 과정에서 발생하는 잘려진 머리는 모두 버려지는 폐기물이다. 알칼리성 조건에서 열처리에 의해 가수분해된 모발 분해산물은 염산을 이용하여 중화하였다. 중화된 모발분해 산물로부터 유멜라닌을 분리하기 위하여 단계적으로 각각 다른 조건에서 원심분리를 수행하였다. 원심분리에 의해 최종적으로 침전된 유멜라닌을 포함하는 흑색 물질은 동결 건조하였다. 흑색의 물질의 질소/탄소와 황/탄소의 비율은 각 0.185와 0.049로서 유멜라닌 구성원소의 이론적인 질소/탄소와 황/탄소의 비율보다 높은 것으로 나타났는데 이는 멜라닌을 추출하는 과정에서 유멜라닌 색소와 단백질이 완전하게 분리되지 않았기 때문으로 추정된다. 분리한 흑색 물질의 아크릴아미드젤 전기영동 결과 coomasie blue에 의해 염색된 청색의 단백질과 흑색의 유멜라닌이 혼합되어 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 최종적으로 원심분리에서 얻어진 상등액은 동결건조하였을 때 밝은 갈색의 분말로 질소/탄소와 황/탄소 비율은 각 0.284와 0.073으로서 케라틴 단백질의 가수분해물질과 페오멜라민의 혼합물로 추정된다. 3가 철이온은 흑색 물질을 이용한 모발의 염색효과를 촉진하였으며 티오글리콜산염과 철 이온을 혼합하여 모발염색 과정에 적용하였을 때 흑색물질에 의한 염색의 효과는 크게 향상되었다. 결론적으로, 버려지는 인모에서 추출한 멜라닌 색소를 포함하는 흑색 물질과 철 이온은 독성이나 위험성이 적은 자연적으로 희어지는 머리를 염색할 수 있는 천연염색을 위한 재료로서 이용가치가 있다고 판단된다.

        Formation of two-dimensional MoS2 and one-dimensional MoO2 nanowire hybrids

        Oxidation of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides have received great interests because it significantly influences their electrical, optical, and catalytic properties. Monoclinic MoO2 nanowires grow along the zigzag direction of 2D MoS2 via thermal annealing at a high temperature with a low oxygen partial pressure. The hybrids of semiconducting 2D MoS2 and metallic 1D MoO2 nanowires have potential to be applied to various devices such as electrical devices, gas sensors, photodetectors, and catalysts.

        Effects of Physicochemically Hydrolyzed Human Hairs on the Soil Microbial Community and Growth of the Hot Pepper Plant

        In this study, waste human hairs discarded from beauty shops and barber shops were collected and hydrolysed with a mixture of 0.5 N KOH and 0.05 N Ca(OH)_2by heating treatment for 20 min at 120℃. The pH of the hydrolysate was adjusted to 8 using phosphoric acid. The final solid content of the hair hydrolysate was adjusted to 100 g/L based on hair weight. Nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen,sulfur, and oxygen contents in the hydrolysate were 13.68,48.58, 6.46, 3.02, and 28.26%, respectively. When 0.5%(w/v) of forest soil was inoculated into 1% (v/v) of hair hydrolysate solution, 3% (w/v) of compost soil slurry, or a mixture of 1% (v/v) hair hydrolysate and 3% (w/v) of compost soil and incubated for 5 days at 25℃, bacterial growth measured on the basis of the viable cell numbers was approximately 3 times higher in the hair hydrolysate and compost soil mixture than in the others. Based on these results, 100x diluted hair hydrolysate was used as an organic fertilizer for field tests. Hot pepper plants were planted in commercially purchased compost soil to produce identical field conditions before the field was fertilized with the hair hydrolysate. The community of the soil-intrinsic bacteria was increased based on the viable cell count, and more diversified based on the TGGE band number of DNA extracted from soil, in the fertilized field relative to the non-fertilized field. The growth of the hot pepper plant was increased more based on length and weight in the fertilized field than in the non-fertilized field. Fertilization with hair hydrolysates appears to protect the hot pepper plant against wilt disease in farm fields contaminated with Ralstonia solanacearum.
