곡선의 조형원리 디자인을 응용한 업스타일연구

As a research on up styles that would apply curves’ formative principles-based designs, the study assumes that as one of the visual arts, this activity to describe one’s own originality by making changes in a form of hair using constant physical strength is similar to hair- style presentation methods in relation to elements and principles of the formative arts, and that is why the study has decided to develop its research from an angle of the formative arts. As for the theoretical discussion on up styles with curves’ formative principles-based designs applied, this study searched for references and data in previously-conducted theses and on the Internet and as referring to pictures, the study analyzed characteristics of images which helped the study with its investigation. With curvy sculptures applied as motives, a total of six new hair designs were created. The first work was inspired by Ahrang Tower at Chupungnyeong of Yeongdong in a romantic way and in regard to the second one, another sculpture at Gwanghwamun Gate was the motive, and the work was processed with some graceful touches. The third design was made with a sculpture at a county residents’ square in Haenam applied as a motive, and it feels stable. In terms of the fourth work, the study designed it out of an environmentally-symbolic sculpture in a sophisticated way. The study added future-oriented airs to the fifth and the sixth with a landmark sculpture at Incheon International Airport and a formative structure by Frank Gehry applied as motives, respectively. While proceeding with its research, the study was led to the beauty of up styles as transforming the curvy sculptures into the creative pieces of work, and the study also suggests that other follow-up researches into up styles that would use the formative principles of different topics should be continuously carried out.

Background and Objectives Vocal fold leukoplakia is characterized as white plaque onthe epithelium of the vocal folds and can be treated by angiolytic laser stripping surgery. How-ever, postoperative changes in the vibratory patterns of vocal folds have not been investigatedquantitatively. The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in vocal fold vibrationafter angiolytic laser surgery in patients with unilateral vocal fold leukoplakia using the two-dimensional scanning digital kymography (2D DKG). Subjects and Method Medical records of seven males (age=62 .14±12.40 yrs) with unilat-eral vocal fold leukoplakia who underwent angiolytic laser stripping were reviewed. Beforeand after the surgery (post-operative day=82.57±28.55 days), a multi-dimensional voice as-sessment was performed along with a 2D DKG study. For 2D DKG images, the amplitudesymmetry index (ASI), phase symmetry index (PSI), and open quotient (OQ) were calculatedusing the ImageJ program. In addition, pre- versus postoperative data were compared, and thecorrelation between the changes in 2D DKG parameters and voice outcomes was explored. Results Results indicated that the absolute ASI ( p=0.028) and OQ ( p=0.028) of the 2DDKG study, grade ( p=0.038) and breathy ( p=0.034) of the GRBAS scale, σPitch measured bythe electroglottography ( p=0.043), the physical score of the VHI ( p=0.042), and the total score( p=0.043) and the tiredness score ( p=0.043) of the VFI decreased after surgery. Decrease inthe absolute ASI was correlated with changes in the grade (rho=0.850) and breathy (rho=0.777)scale measures, while decreased OQ were correlated with the changes in the physical score ofthe VHI (rho=0.901) and tiredness score of the VFI (rho=0.847). Conclusion The improved vocal fold vibratory patterns after angiolytic laser surgery forvocal fold leukoplakia can be evaluated objectively using the 2D DKG study. Angiolytic laserstripping enables the preservation of vocal fold vibration after the surgery and is considered avaluable surgical option for treating vocal fold leukoplakia.

1950~60년대 영화에 나타난 여주인공의 헤어스타일 이미지 분석 - 오드리 헵번을 중심으로 -

오드리 헵번은 1950∼60년대를 대표하는 스타일 아이콘으로 그녀의 스타일과 이미지는 시대를 초월한 무한성을 지니고 있다. 그 중 헤어스타일은 인체에 행해지는 직접적인 장식으로서 ‘조형예술’이라는 맥락에서 시각적 이미지를 창조할 수 있는 요소이다. 그 동안 오드리 헵번의 헤어스타일만을 중점적으로 연구한 선행연구들을 미비한 실정으로 본 논문에서는 오드리 헵번이 가장 활발하게 활동했던 시기인 1950~1960년대 영화에 나타난 오드리 헵번 헤어스타일의 조형성과 이미지를 분석하였다. 헤어스타일 분석 결과 공간에서는 주로 후두부를 중심으로 조형을 배치하였고 수직과 사선의 방향성을 보여주었으며 조형의 표현분석에서는 오드리 헵번은 주로 볼륨감을 강조한 장구형 형태를 나타냈고, 매끈한 질감을 표현을 통해 단정하고 우아한 이미지를 만들었다. 오드리 헵번 이미지 분석에서 가장 많이 언급된 형용사로는 세련된, 품위 있는, 소박한 이라는 이미지 형용사였다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과로 스타의 전체적인 이미지에서 헤어스타일이 또한 이미지 결정에 미치는 영향력이 크다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 오드리 헵번 헤어스타일의 조형성과 이미지 구성에 관한 구체적 기초자료를 제공하는 계기를 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. Audrey Hepburn is a style icon who represents 1950s and 1960s and her style and image have infinity which transcends ages. Among them, hairstyle is a direct decoration performed on the body as a factor which can create visual images in the context of 'formative art.' Since there is lack of studies so far which focused on Audrey Hepburn's hair styles, this study analyzed formative nature of Audrey Hepburn's hair styles and images which appeared in 1950s and 1960s when she was acting most robustly. As the result of analysis on her hair styles, her hair mainly placed centering on top and golden point and showed vertical and diagonal directions while, in analysis on expression of forms, Audrey Hepburn displayed the form of prolate which emphasized sense of volume and created neat and gracious images through sleek texture. The most frequently mentioned adjective in the analysis of Audrey Hepburn's images were 'sophisticated, elegant and simple.' The result of this study demonstrated that hairstyles have significant effect on the creation of images in the overall images of a star and this study is expected to provide detailed basic material for formative nature and composition of images of Audrey Hepburn's hair styles.
