본 논문은 제동 시스템에서 전자식 주행안정 제어장치(ESC)의 유압 모듈레이터의 솔레노이드 밸브 제어에 대한 것이다. ESC의 전자제어유니트(ECU)를 제어하기 위한 방법으로 고주파수 제어와 슬로프 제어를 적용하였으며, 서지 압력 및 전자파간섭(EMI) 저감 특성을 연구하였다. 고주파수에서의 전자파 방출을 줄이기 위하여 ECU 출력 단 에 슬로프 제어 기능을 추가하였다. 측정결과 제동 시스템에서 고주파수 ECU의 솔레노이드 밸브제어 방법에 따라 서 지 압력과 전자파 방출이 저감될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 고주파수 ECU 제어 연구 결과에 의해 제동 시 스템 성능을 향상방안을 제시하고자 한다. This paper describes the control of a solenoid valve of ESC(Electronic Stability Control) with hydraulic modulator in braking system. ESC ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to control the high-frequency control and slope control method was applied, the surge pressure and EMI(electromagnetic interference) reduction characteristics were studied. The stage of ECU output was added the slope shaping function to reduce electromagnetic emission at higher frequencies. Measurements show that this high frequency ECU manages to reduce the surge pressure and electromagnetic emission by the control of solenoid valve. In conclusion, by using the results of this study for the high frequency ECU control, we could expect enhancement of braking system performance.

In recent years there has been increasing public awareness about the impact of tire pressure levels on vehicle safety. Early warning of such safety related information could help a driver to avoid a potentially hazardous driving condition. This Paper provides an overview on the state of the art of intelligent tire system and MDPS system and potential technologies that can be utilized for sensor, wireless data transmission, and steering wheel vibration. Steering wheel vibration composed shimmy and shake mechanisms are investigated through vibration transfer path from road and wheel and tire to steering wheel. And experiment environment measure steering wheel vibration and tire pressure to improve of steering characteristic and compensate for defect of MDPS system.

An effective drowsy driver detection system is needed, because the probability of accident is high for drowsy driving and its severity is high at the time of accident. However, the drowsy driver detection system that uses bio-signals or vision is difficult to be utilized due to high cost. Thus, this paper proposes a drowsy driver detection algorithm by using steering angle sensor, which is attached to the most of vehicles at no additional cost, and vehicle information such as brake switch, throttle position signal, and vehicle speed. The proposed algorithm is based on jerk criterion, which is one of drowsy driver's steering patterns. In this paper, threshold value of each variable is presented and the proposed algorithm is evaluated by using acquired vehicle data from hardware in the loop simulation (HILS) through CAN communication and MATLAB program. 졸음운전은 사고발생 확률이 높고, 사고 발생 시 심각도가 높기 때문에 효율적인 졸음운전 판단 시스템이 필요하다 . 그러나 생체 신호나 비전을 이용한 졸음운전 판단시스템은 비용 측면에서 활용되기가 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 추가적인 비용 없이 대부분의 차량에 기본 장착되어 있는 조향각 센서(steering angle sensor)와 차량정보(brake switch, throttle position signal, vehicle speed)를 이용하여 졸음운전자의 조향패턴 중 하나인 저킹 판단을 이용한 졸음운전 판단 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 각 변수의 임계값을 제시하고, HILS(Hardware in the Loop Simulation)에서 CAN을 통해 취득한 차량의 데이터와 Matlab 프로그램을 이용하여 알고리즘을 평가한다.

In a Vehicle, Safety is the most important factor for drivers. It is well known that tire pressure lower than normal reduces the safety of the vehicle. In a consideration of active safety, tire pressure monitoring system is absolutely required. Tire pressure monitoring using in-tire pressure sensors with an RF data link has proven to be the best approach to measuring tire pressure over the widest range of operating conditions. In this paper, we describe the parameters of TPMS, the characteristics of a tire and temperature compensation. These are the main factors to design the decision logic. We will show the guidelines for TPMS logic development considering environment variables and vehicle conditions.

The autonomous intelligent cruise control system has been designed and tested. In this paper only one car following has been tested. Autonomous intelligent cruise control system maintains both the speed and the desired distance to the preceding vehicle using constant headway policy, which means that a steady state vehicle spacing is given by the desired headway times vehicle speed. The headway control system has been designed based upon PID control and PID gains are obtained as a function of the headway. In calculating the throttle angle and braking force, an inverse mapping technique is used. Experimental and simulation results were acceptable and driving feel was good
