The purpose of this study is to estimate leachate generation volume with HELP Model to indentify the applicability of HELP Model in domestic landfills, and to determine factors which effect leachate generation volume using regressing equation. And then the result could be obtained as following ; 1. The correlation coefficients using regression equation among leachate generation volume, runoff and evapotranspiration are 0.843-0.967 and Then of these factors, leachate generation volume is largely effected by precipitation, it will be somewhat effected by otehr factors, too. 2. The coefficients of Determination(γ²) are 0.711-0.935, and 71.1%-93.5% or Y variation in Y = a+b% can explain but 6.5% - 28.9% can't using regression equation.

The Purpose of this research is aimed to find out optimum operating conditions for Phosphorus removal by AB-Process. The Comparision between a partially aerated at B-step and fully aerated AB-Proecess was made at different mixing and aeration time, detention time. The BOD removal efficiency showed up to 90% in the partially aerated at B-step as well as fully aerated process. In the partially aerated process at B-step the substrate removal efficiency remained constant irrespective of anaerobic/aerobic reactor retention time ratios. Phosphorus removal efficiency in the partially aerated process at B-step was higher than that in the fully aerated AB-Process. Phosphorus removal efficiency in the process tended to increase as the anaerobic reactor volume in the B-step increased.

This study was to understand leaching characteristics with pH controlling agents and Temp. control, and investigate leaching characteristics with pH control from opening a leaching test to an end for reassessing leaching test of heavy metals with enviromental conditions in landfill. The results were as followed ; 1. Because leaching of heavy metals was increased in low pH, pH must control for leaching in existing leaching test. 2. Generally, regulation time(6hr) of leaching was confirmed reasonablely, except for Cu in plating sludge. 3. In pH controlling solution, there was nearly not difference between Acetic acid and HCl, and if considering Cu, the former was appropriate. 4. In a part of heavy metal, leaching rate was increased in high Temp, and normal Temp, in existing leaching test would be revaluated.
上向流式 好氣性 生物膜에 의한 農藥含有廢水의 處理에 관한 硏究

This study has been carried out to determine the toxicity of agricultural chemical (TPN) as to wastewater treatment. This system used Aerated Submerged Up-Flow Biofilm Reactor. This reactor can withstand the variation of concentration, flow rate and presence of certain toxic materials in the wastewater to be treated. An acclimation experiment was variated influent COD from 250㎎/ℓ~70㎎/ℓ. The agricultural chemical was added to obtained optimum condition at influent COD 400㎎/ℓ by the acclimation experiment. The conclusions from the experimental results are as follows ; 1. Influent COD concentration was variated 250㎎/ℓ~600㎎/ℓ. The treatment efficiency was stability(86% to 93.3%). When influent COD was 400㎎/ℓ, the treatment efficiency was at best-93.2%. Accordingly, this system was proved to be suitable in treating the wastewater with wide range of concentration. 2. The influent TPN concentration below 1ppm at Up-Flow Aerated Biofillm Reactor, raised no harmful result to treatment efficiency. 3. The treatment efficiency was decreased to 29.8% when the lapse of time. 4. When the experimental TPN toxicity was compared with the DDT toxicity in the reference, it was proved that both of the toxicity had the similer trend.
혐기성 소화의 동력학적 해석 : 有機酸 構成比에 따른 嫌氣性 消化 Anaerobic digestion with Component ratios of organic acids

This research on organic acid and its component ratio (H_(AC) : H_(pt) : H_(Bu)) mainly produced in acid formation steps of anaerobic treatment process. From comparing the above experimental results with digestion efficiency of acetic acid used as substrates, I can find the conclusion as follows : 1. Removal efficiency for component ratios of organic acid is 64.3-98.6%, 59.6-98.2 %, respectively, varied with HRT of 3-20 days. 2. For l0days of HRT, in order to investigate the effects of component ratio of organic acid, when its component ratio(H_(ac) : H_(pt) : H_(bu)) is 100 : 0 : 0, 50 : 25 : 25, 28 : 38 : 34 and 0 : 50 : 50(as COD), respectively, effluent concentration is 464mg/l, 666mg/l, 832mg/l and 1,148mg/l, respectively. 3. Component ratio of menthane gas for organic acids represents 55-70%, with variation o: HRT, 3-20days. 4. When the component ratios of organic acid(H_(ac) : H_(pt) : H_(bu)) is 50 : 25 : 25 and 23 : 38 : 34(as COD), methane production per COD removal for HRT of 3-20days is 0.27~0. 32, 0.21~0.30. 5. From the mass balance relationship, when the component ratios of organic acid is 50 : 25 : 25 and 28 : 38 : 34(as COD), methane production ratio, varied with HRT of 3days, 5days, l0days, 15days and 20days in 49.6%, 66.4%, 77.5%. 85.1% and 89.7%, respectively and 39.1%, 56.3%, 68.3%, 76.3%, 83.9%, respectively.

In this study, we can be obtained the following conclusions about the present environmental conditons and the post management of the expired landfill. 1. The component ration in paper, vinyl·plastic and leather·rubber of combustible amounts to much more than others. In the future, decompositions will be delayed considerably, due to these. 2. Except heavy metals in leachate, each of analysis value change considerably, but are equal to the component of general leachate. 3. The soils of lower part in landfill do not differ greatly from surrouding soils. soil pollutions with heavy metals in general domestic waste proved to be concerned greatly. 4. All of landfill facilites are poor in enviromental, and the post management is rearly controlled, so the proper countmeasure preparation is urgent.
Advective-Diffusion Model Using Tracer Method

Tracer method is applied to compute transport of pollutants caused by advection and turbulent diffusion. Eulerian and Lagrangian velocities are both used in this method and numerical diffusion arising from Eulerian frame only can be avoided. Application to Nak-Dong Estuary agrees well with field data and subgrid scale can be reproduced well.
