This experiment was conducted to examine the effects of a short-term treatment of high pressure CO₂ on shelf-life of strawberry fruit. A short-term treatment (12 hr) of 100% CO₂ resulted in the increase of fruit firmness up to 71.9% compared to that at harvest. The firmness of CO₂ treated fruit remained a significantly higher than that of control (air) up to 15 days. The alteration of pectic polymers was observed by CO₂ treatment such as an increase of EDTA soluble pectins and decrease of water soluble ones. The CO₂ treatment resulted in the increase of total amount of wall bound calcium. Pectate lyase activity, an important agent of strawberry fruit softening, was also significantly reduced by CO₂ treatment. Contents of soluble solids and acids of CO₂ treated fruit were higher than those of control fruit. Short-term treatment of high pressure CO₂ affected shelf-life through firmness increase whereas the visual quality and decay incidence of strawberry fruit were not affected.
수확 전후 칼슘-키토산 및 고농도 CO₂ 단기처리에 의한 ‘설향’ 딸기 과실의 저장성 증진

수확 전후 키토산 및 CO₂ 단기처리가 ‘설향’ 딸기 과실의 저장성과 품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 본 실험을 수행하였다. 과실 경도는 수확 시기가 늦어질수록 감소하였고 수확 전 칼슘-키토산 누적 처리는 수확 당시의 과실 경도를 유의하게 증가시키지 못하였다. 그러나 수확 전 키토산 처리와 수확 후 100% CO₂ 단기처리를 병행하였을 때 저장중 경도 유지와 과피 무름 및 부패를 억제하였다. 수확 전키토산 살포는 과실의 무름 장해 및 부패 발생 억제에 효과적이나 수확 시기가 늦어질수록 칼슘-키토산의 수확 전 처리 효과가 감소하였다. 결론적으로 수확 전 칼슘-키토산과 수확 후 CO₂의 병행 처리는 딸기 과실의 경도 증가는 물론 과피 색의 변화 및 부패를 억제시키므로 딸기의 저장성 증진을 위한 수확 후 처리기술로 유용하였다. This experiment examined the effects of preharvest Ca-chitosan spraying and short-term post-harvest treatment with high pCO₂ on the shelf-life of ‘Seolhyang’ strawberry fruit. Fruit firmness decreased when harvested late in the season and was little affected by Ca-chitosan spray treatments. Short-term treatment with high pCO₂ after harvest, however, significantly increased fruit firmness regardless of preharvest treatment. The combined treatment of Ca-chitosan spray and high pCO₂ led to an additional increase in shelf-life through delay of skin disorder, fruit decay incidence and firmness loss during simulated marketing. The residual effects of both treatments, however, were reduced when fruit were harvested late in the season. Fruit firmness was more affected by high pCO₂ treatment whereas decay and visual quality were affected by preharvest spraying with Ca-chitosan. Although more research is required to determine the optimum concentration of calcium and chitosan, and the optimal spray interval, our results show that the combined treatment of preharvest Ca-chitosan spray and postharvest high pCO₂ is effective in improving strawberry fruit shelf-life by increasing firmness and delaying decay.

국내 동성애 만화는 일본에서‘야오이’라는 용어로 들어오게 되었는 데, 일본 뿐 아니라 국내 만화시장에서 인기 있는 장르중 하나로 손꼽힌다. 동성애 만화는 창작으로 만들어지기도 하고, 기존에 연재하는 만화나 애니메이션에서 등장하는 남성 캐릭터들을 이용하여 동성애를 소재로 또 다른 이야기를 만들어내기도 한다. 동성애 만화는 청소년들이 주 독자층으로 성(性)을 다루면서도 동성애에 초점을 맞추기 때문에 일반 소재에 비해 사회적인 현상을 반영할 수밖에 없다. 본 연구는 동성애 만화가 청소년에 미치는 영향과 사회현상에 초점을 맞추기 전에 동성애 만화 그 자체의 기본적인 이해를 위한 기초연구이다. 현재 국내 오프라인 만화시장에서 가장 큰 행사로 알려져 있는 ‘코믹월드’를 통해 동성애 만화에 대한 현황을 알아보기 위해 설문조사를 하였다. 이를 토대로 동성애 만화를 구독하는 독자의 연령별 현황과 동성애 만화에 대한 인지도 현황을 분석하였다. 차후 본 연구를 통해 동성애 만화를 보는 10대 청소년들의 성(性) 정체성에 대한 영향과 시장형성에 따른 세분화 된 연구에 도움이 되었으면 한다. The term “ya-o-ii” which is referred as a homosexual comics in Korea came from Japan and it became one of popular genres in both Japan and Korea’s comics market. People create yo-o-ii with their own idea or borrow male characters from the pre-existed comics or animation and create a whole new story. Homosexual comics which is based on teenage readers deals with sex and focuses on homosexuality. For that reason it reflects social phenomenon than general material for comics. Before we focus on influence of homosexual comics on teenagers and social phenomenon, this study is for fundamental understanding on homosexual comics itself. In order to look into current state of homosexual comics, the survey was conducted at “Comic World” which is well known as the biggest offline comic event in Korea. This study analyzes range of age and awareness of readers of homosexual comics on the basis of the survey. Hopefully, this study helps better understand an influence of homosexual comics on teenage readers with problem of sex identity and contribute to the study of market segmentations of homosexual comics.
가감대황목단피탕(加減大黃牧丹皮湯)의 급성 췌장염 억제 효과

Objectives : In this study, we investigated the effects of Daehwangmokdanpitang-gagambang(DMG) on treatment for cholecystokinin-octapeptide(CCK)-induced acute pancreatitis(AP) in rats. Methods : Male Wistar rats weighing 200 to 250 g were divided into three groups. The first was normal untreated group, the second was in treatment with DMG group; DMG was administered orally, followed by 75 ${\mu}g/kg$ CCK subcutaneously three times, after 1, 3 and 5 h. This whole procedure was repeated for 5 days. The third was in treatment with saline group, the protocol was the same as in treatment group with DMG. We determined the pancreatic weight/body weight ratio, the levels of pancreatic HSP60, HSP72, ERK, p38 MAPK and the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Repeated CCK treatment resulted in the typical laboratory and morphological changes of experimentally induced pancreatitis. Results : DMG was significantly decreased the pancreatic weight/body weight ratio in CCKinduced AP and DMG increased HSP60 and HSP72 compared with CCK-induced AP. DMG suppressed ERK and p38 MAPK activation. Additionally, the secretion of $IL-1{\beta}$ and $TNF-{\alpha}$ and the levels of amylase and lipase were lower than that saline. Conclusions : DMG has an effect to treatment for CCK-induced AP.
