Malignant Extrarenal Rhabdoid Tumor in Adults: Three Case Reports Originating from the Ileum, Adrenal Gland and Uterus

        심으뜸,염석규,엄준원,김진희,이승화,차상훈,최정우 대한영상의학회 2014 대한영상의학회지 Vol.71 No.1

Malignant extrarenal rhabdoid tumor (MERT) is a very aggressive tumor that is extremely rare in adults. Herein, we introduce three cases of MERT in adults that originated in the ileum, adrenal gland, and uterine endometrium. The MERTs in the ileum and adrenal gland showed non-aggressive features and a good prognosis, while the MERT in the uterine presented with aggressive features and distant metastasis.

Lymphoma Affecting the Breast: A Pictorial Review of Multimodal Imaging Findings

        심으뜸,송성은,김영식,손길수,서보경 한국유방암학회 2013 Journal of breast cancer Vol.16 No.3

Hematological malignancies rarely affect the breast, and the majority of those that do are lymphomas. In this review, we describe the clinical aspects and multimodal imaging findings of breast lymphoma. We also illustrate the key clinical and radiological findings that allow it to be distinguished from various other malignant and benign diseases of the breast. Breast lymphoma manifests as a breast mass, a change in the subcutaneous tissue or the skin, or enlargement of the associated lymph node on radiological examination. Radiological findings associated with other breast malignancies, such as calcifications, spiculations, or architectural distortions are extremely rare. Skin and subcutaneous changes frequently accompany T-cell lymphoma. Multimodal breast imaging characteristics may aid in the diagnosis of breast lymphoma.

자가 조직을 이용한 유방확대술 후 유방영상소견

        황규원,서보경,심으뜸,송성은,윤을식,조규란,우옥희 대한초음파의학회 2012 ULTRASONOGRAPHY Vol.31 No.3

The use of autologous tissue transfer for breast augmentation is an alternative to using foreign implant materials. The benefits of this method are the removal of unwanted fat from other body parts, no risk of implant rupture, and the same feel as real breast tissue. However, sometimes there is a dilemma about whether or not to biopsy for calcifications or masses detected after the procedure is completed. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the procedures of breast augmentation with autologous tissues, the imaging features of various complications, and the role of imaging in the diagnosis and management of complications and hidden breast diseases.

2008 Clinical and Experimental Pediatrics (CEP) Vol.51 No.2

Purpose:Asthma is one of the most common chronic childhood disease. Education of asthmatic children and their families about asthma and its management may improve disease control, reduce symptoms, and improve school performance. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of an intensive asthma education program in asthmatic children and their families on outcome measure of asthma management behavior scale, knowledge about asthma, self efficacy scale and quality of life. Methods:Fifteen asthmatic children and their families were invited the intensive asthma education program which including allergen avoidance, management of asthma, correct use of the inhalation devices and control of exercise-induced asthma (study group). Fifteen asthmatic children and their families those who did not participate this program were served as control group. Participants were asked to complete a written questionnaire before and 3-month after the program. Results:After completing the intensive education program, significant improvement of the childrens asthma management behavior scale (27.1 vs. 32.2, P=0.011), belief and knowledge about asthma (14.2 vs. 17.9, P<0.001), self efficacy (47.9 vs. 49.7, P=0.091) and quality of life (79.6 vs. 88.6, P<0.001) was noted in the study group by measuring questionnaires. There are increasing tendencies in parental asthma management behavior scale and knowledge about asthma. Conclusion:This intensive asthma education program is effective in improving asthma control, self efficacy and quality of life of asthmatic children. This should serve as a national model for family- based programs for asthmatic children and their families.
