The purpose of this study was to explore the construction of knowledge about 'early childhood computer education of preservice early childhood teacher'. This research studied 37 third - year college students in early childhood computer education course. They composed concept maps on 'early childhood computer education' two times, before and after 'course of early childhood computer education'. Data analyzed by Won Kyong's method(2007) based on Novak & Gowin(1984), Beyerbarch(1988), Trent et al.(1938), Winizk & Kaychak(1995), and Morine-Dershmier(1992). Findings were that (1) the number of proposition in concept map increased significantly after course. (2) in respect of knowledge contents, the most frequently used concept were 'application of internet', 'proposition of computer', 'application of CD-Rom title' before course but 'educational value' after course. (3) the specificity score of knowledge increased in respect of all knowledge contents after course.
Vol.64 No.1
Spreading out from China, Covid-19 made a profound impact on Europe. In order to respond to this virus, European Commission recommended, in March 2020, the European countries to reintroduce borders control. These measures were implemented by the most of the 26 Member States(MS) of the Schengen Agreement, and this Agreement - principle of open borders of the EU - became no more valid. The length of borders closure(days) is different one country from another. In general, the MS that joined the Schengen Agreement during the 1980s and 1990s closed borders for a longer period (105.85 days for unique reason of Covid-19, and 209.15 days for all reasons) than the MS which entered in the 2000s(97.78 days). Furthermore, several MS closed the borders for a longer time despite of their relatively better pandemic situation. This paper aims to analyze which factors affected on the decision of these countries about the reintroduction of borders control during pandemic crisis. For that, borders control measures of the 26 MS from 2006, when the Schengen Borders Code came into effect, to 2021 are analyzed. For statistical analysis, dependent variables are the length of borders control maintained by the 26 MS after the outbreak of Covid-19. For Independent ones, are explored their confirmed cases and deaths of Covid-19 to see if pandemic situation made an impact on length of borders closure, on the one hand, and their borders control measures implemented before pandemic to observe if other factors are correlated to recent borders control, on the other hand. Since 2006, MS could reintroduce borders control for exceptional cases: terror, serious threats, massive influx of refugees and potential security problems during the important international events. The first finding is that the length of borders control, reintroduced exclusively to prevent Covid-19, does not have any correlation with the MS’ Covid-19 situation. The second finding is that the MS which had a tendency to reintroduce more often and for a longer time to fight against terror, massive influx of refugees and so on closed borders for a longer period during pandemic as well. It shows that borders control measures of each country were not influenced by sanitary crisis, but much more by the other factors. If these attitudes of the European countries toward borders control persist even after Covid-19 crisis and are even generalized or worsened, it could have a negative impact not only on the Schengen agreement, but also on the development of European integration, progressing based on principle of open borders.
