SEM is very useful measuring equipment in micro and nano area. In generally, it has shown the limited measuring area about few micro meters, and is unsuitable for the accurate measurement above several tens of micro meters. This paper proposed the stitching algorithm of electron beam split image using image processing technique. Finally stitching accuracy has been verified by comparing with AFM measuring data.

Machine Capability Index(Cmk) is the mechanical ability of equipment to evaluate the stable production capability. In this paper, Machine Capability Index of the machining center has been evaluated by using CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machine) measuring data of machined workpieces.

Recently, as the machining center needs the functions of high speed and high accuracy, the reliability has been emphasized. The tilting table is the most of one as important part of the machining center, and the high reliability is required. In this study, reliability prediction of tilting table was performed at a design stage. Fron the drawing, the structure drawing of system, the failure rate, and the FMEA(Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) was performed to reliability prediction. As this study present the idea required for improving reliability at a design stage during developing the Machining Center, the design support and the reliability verification will be done.
