        GENERALIZATIONS OF CERTAIN SUMMATION FORMULA DUE TO RAMANUJAN

        Motivated by the extension of classical Dixon's summa-tion theorem for the series 3F2 given by Lavoie, Grondin, Rathie and Arora, the authors aim at deriving four generalized summa-tion formulas, which, upon specializing their parameters, give many summation identities including, especially, the four very interesting summation formulas due to Ramanujan.

        sPAC(Web Service Performance Analysis Center): 성능 중심의 웹 서비스 조합 도구

        Web services and their composition (web processes) are promising technologies to efficiently integrate disparate software components over various types of systems. As many web services are nowadays available on Internet, quality of services (QoS) and performance/cost become increasingly important to differentiating between similar service providers. In this work, we introduce sPAC (Web Services Performance Analysis Centre) and show how customers can benefit from sPAC to consider performance in composing and commercializing web services. sPAC 1) helps users to graphically describe the workflow of web services, 2) invokes web services to test out performance for light load conditions, 3) automatically converts the web services and the flow between them into a simulation model, 4) conducts extensive simulations for heavy load conditions and various usage patterns, and 5) reports analysis results and estimation data for the web services.

        무문토기의 용량분석 시론 ― 충남지역 청동기시대 취락 출토품을 중심으로 ―

        본고는 토기에 대한 다방면의 고고학연구에서 체계적인 용량복원이 중요함을 피력하면서, 불완전한 파편으로부터도 용량을 추정할 수 있는 방법을 모색해본다. 분석대상은 충남지역 청동기시대 전․중기 취락의 생활유구에서 출토되는 完形의 무문토기 및 단도마연토기이다. 개별 토기의 계측과 용량복원은 기 발간 보고서의 도면에 대한 스캔과 그래픽 프로그램을 이용한 수치화작업을 통해 이루어진다. 다음으로, 단순회귀분석을 이용하여 2차원적 계측속성과 용량과의 관계를 설정해 보는데, 그 결과는 최종적으로 개별 토기가 파편으로 수습되었을 때도, 용량을 추정할 수 있게 해주는 수식이 된다. 따라서 다양한 2차원적 속성 중에서도, 파편으로부터도 기종(형)의 추정이 가능한 구연부의 속성들에 주목한다. 본고의 목적이 실전에서 간단하게 활용할 수식을 제공하는 것인 만큼, 기종의 분류는 복잡한 것을 새로이 제시하기보다는 현행의 안 중 포괄적인 것을 수용한다. 구체적으로, 無文土器는 ① 목이 형성되지 않은 옹형/심발형/발형/완(혹은 천발)형 토기와 ② 목이 형성된(necked) 松菊里型土器와 호형토기로, 丹塗磨硏土器는 송국리형토기와 비송국리형토기로 대별하되, 수식의 효용을 높이기 위해 각 부류를 특정 속성에 주목하여 세분하기도 한다. 개체수가 심각하게 적은 몇몇 세부기종들을 제외하면 대부분의 기종들에 대해서는 어느 정도 유효한 복원수식을 얻을 수 있었다. Arguing that the reconstruction of vessel volume is an important part of archaeological pottery studies, we attempt to provide a systematic means of estimating the volume of a parent vessel from its respective sherds. The specific cases dealt with in this paper come from assemblages of mumun pottery and red-burnished pottery which have been recovered from Bronze habitation sites in the Chungnam Province. The two-dimensional attributes of individual vessels were measured and their volumes estimated by scanning pictures from excavation reports and digitizing them through AutoCAD. Through simple regression analysis, a relationship was established between the two-dimensional measurements and vessel volume. The results of the regression analysis provided equations useful for estimating a parent vessel’s volume from its sherds. In our analysis, we concentrated, in particular, on the two-dimensional attributes associated with vessel rim, which play a significant role in determining a parent vessel’s form or type. Since the aim of this analysis is to propose equations which can easily be applied in practice, we adopt an inclusive classificatory scheme that is currently and broadly in use, rather than devising a new and complicated scheme. In detail, we classify mumun pottery into necked pottery, comprised of jars and Songgugni-type pottery, and non-necked pottery, which include urns, deep bowls, bowls, and shallow bowls. Red-burnished pottery is classified into Songgugni-type vessels and non-Songgugni-type vessels. Some if these categories are further subdivided into sub-types in order to enhance the applicability of the equations. With the exception of certain sub-types, which are represented by a limited number of vessels, we were able to obtain reliable equations for most (sub-)types of pottery.

        Iodine Doped Polyaniline Thin Film for Heterostructure Devices via PECVD Technique: Morphological, Structural, and Electrical Properties

        The deposition of undoped and iodine (I2)-doped polyaniline (PANI) on TiO2 thin film was carried out using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) under different power inputs for the fabrication of p-polyaniline/n-TiO2 heterostructure devices. The increment in the size of TiO2 nanoparticles was observed after I2doping by PECVD. The crystalline properties were altered upon I2 doping, suggesting a subtractive interaction between PANI and I2 moieties during PECVD. The significant changes in the structural and optical properties confirmed the I2 doping of PANI with strong bonding to the TiO2 nanomaterials. The existence of hydrogen bonding between the imine (-NH) of PANI and the hydroxyl (-OH) group of TiO2 nanomaterials was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterization. A device fabricated by PANI/TiO2 or I2-PANI/TiO2 thin film with a top platinum (Pt) layer exhibited nonlinear behavior of current (I)-voltage (V) curve, i.e., moderate diode behavior. Compared to the Pt/PANI/TiO2 heterostructure device, the Pt/I2-PANI/TiO2 heterostructure device showed improved I-V properties with a considerably higher current of 0.050 mA, which might be attributed to the I2 doping-induced generation of large numbers of polarons in the PANI bandgap.

        We study some properties of intuitionistic fuzzy normal subgroups of a group. In particular, we obtain two characterizations of intuitionistic fuzzy normal subgroups. Moreover, we introduce the concept of an intuitionistic fuzzy coset and obtain several results which are analogs of some basic theorems of group theory.

        Effect of Annealing on the Conversion of ZnS to ZnO Nanoparticles Synthesized by the Sol-gel Method Using Zinc Acetate and Thiourea

        A systematic study is presented on the conversion of zinc sulfide to zinc oxide nanoparticles as a function of annealing temperature. Zinc acetate dihydrate (Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O) and thiourea (NH2CSNH2) are used as precursors to synthesize ZnS and then ZnO. The aqueous solution of the precursor was refluxed at 90 °C for over 12 h. The synthesized complex was then annealed at 300 °C, 500 °C, 700 °C, and 900 °C in air for one hour. From elemental analyses, it was found that the as-synthesized powder is a mixture of ZnS and ZnO, which annealing later converts to the zinc oxide phase only. The morphological observations revealed spherical particles of various sizes (20 nm to 300 nm) while increasing the annealing temperatures. A drastic change in the vibration bands is noticed with annealing. Photoelectron peaks related to sulfur and carbon are observed for synthesized powder, whereas, these peaks disappeared when annealed at 500 °C.
