Determination of rare earth elements in organic solvent by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) was investigated. Organic solvent which contained rare earth elements was directly aspirated into ICP-MS by ultrasonic nebulizer(USN) in order to reduce solvent load to the plasma. Instrumental parameters affecting analytical results have been first optimized. Data acquisition method and composition of solvent which effected on ion count rates were studied. Peak hoping method was more sensitive than scanning method. The count rate of rare earth elements was decreased for 20 ppb organic standard solution and increased for organic blank solution when the quantity of MIBK(methyl isobutyl ketone) was increased.

Synchronous spectrofluorimetry was carried out for the simultaneous determination of various polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) in aqueous solution by fluorescence spectrometry have been studied. The optimal wavelength interval(Δλ) for synchronous spectra of acenaphthene, anthracene, benzo[a]anthracene, fluorene and pyrene were investigated in the presence of surfactants. The great enhancement of the fluorescence of these PAHs in Triton X-100 was obtained and optimal wavelength was 50 nm. The calibration curves in synthetic mixture solution of 5 PAHs were linear over the range from 1.0x10^-8M to 1.0x10^-4M. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the detection limits were 4.9x10^-9M, 7.0x10^-9M, 4.7x10^-9M, 1.6x10^-9M and 3.2x10^-9M for acenaphthene, anthracene, benzo[a]anthracene, fluorene and pyrene, respectively.
다변량 분석법을 이용한 Tryptophan과 Tyrosine의 형광분광법적 정량

형광분광법에 의하여 주성분 회귀분석(principal component regression, PCR)과 부분 최소자승법(Partial least squares, PLS)을 이용하여 아미노산(Tryptophan and Tyrosine)을 동시에 정량하는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 아미노산 혼합물의 형광 스펙트럼은 들뜸파장을257nm로 고정하여 측정하였다. 두 가지 아미노산이 서로 다른 농도로 혼합되어 있는 32개의 시료용액을 280nm∼500nm 범위에서 스펙트럼들을 얻었고 이를 이용하여 PCR과 PLS회귀모델을 얻었다. 두 가지 아미노산이 서로 다른 농도로 포함된 6개의 외부검정용 시료들의 스펙트럼들을 이용해서 회귀모델의 적합성을 검정하기 위하여 외부검정용 시료의 농도를 계산하였다. 계산된 농도를 이용하여 relative standard error of prediction($RSEP_a$)를 얻었고 같은 방법으로 overall relative standard error of prediction($RSEP_m$) 도 구하였다 A spectrofluorimetric method for the simultaneous determination of amino acids (tryptophan and tyrosine) based on the application of multivariate calibration method such as principal component regression and partial least squares (PLS) to luminescence measurements has been studied. Emission spectra of synthetic mixtures of two amino acids were obtained at excitation wavelength of 257 ㎚. The calibration model in PCR and PLS was obtained from the spectral data in the range of 280-500 ㎚ for each standard of a calibration set of 32 standards, each containing different amounts of two amino acids. The relative standard error of prediction ($RSEP_a$) was obtained to assess the model goodness in quantifying each analyte in a validation set. The overall relative standard error of prediction ($RSEP_m$) for the mixture obtained from the results of a validation set, formed by 6 independent mixtures was also used to validate the present method.

The physical and mechanical properties of panels fabricated by mixing thermosetting resins with wasted fiber followed by dehydrating and pressing have been investigated. The tensile shear strength, the stripping bonding strength, the moisture content and the moisture absorption were measured in accordance with the KS F 3101(1997). The flexural rigidity test, the hot-cool repetition test and the alkali-proof test were done according to the test method for concrete form, the KS F 3110(1997). The compression tests were carried out using the KS F 2206(1985). The anatomical pictures of the face and core of the panels were obtained using SEM.
유도결합플라스마 질량분석법에 의한 쌀 중의 Pb 정량에 대한 측정불확실도의 평가

Uncertainty in the determination of Pb in rice reference material by isotope dilution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry has been evaluated. A quadrupole type mass analyzer was used for this work. The Pb used for the spike isotope was MST SRM 991. The spike calibration solutions were prepared by quantitatively weighing and mixing an aliquot of the spike solution with an aliquot of the gravimetrically prepared natural solution. The dissolution of rice flour sample was carried out by using a microwave digestion system. The concentration of Pb in the sample determined by the present procedure was 29.9 ng/g. The equation to estimate the combined standard uncertainty was derived. The equation contains 6 terms, each of them corresponds to the individual error sources involved in the present quantitation method. The value of combined standard uncertainty was calculated to be 0.420. The expanded uncertainty having 99 confidence level was also estimated and it was calculated to be 1.33. The results showed that the main source of uncertainty in the present method is the imprecision in the isotope ratio measurements.
