Cerebral cysticercosis is unfortunately a frequent disease in Korea. Cysticercosis in the ventricular system is most frequently found in the fourth ventricle. However it is found rarely in the lateral and third ventricle. Recently, we have encountered accidently a lateral ventricular cysticercosis during a V-P Shunt operation on a 32 year old hydrocephalus patient. The diagnosis was confirmed by the presence of an encysted larvae on aspiration.
흰쥐의 실험적 간질에서 뇌량절개술이 뇌파에 미치는 영향

In order to study effect of corpus callosotomy for epiletpic lesions located at sensory-motor cortex, changes in amplitude, frequency of background activity and frequency of abnormal discharges of postcallosotomy electroenencephalography(EEG) recordings were observed in the crystal penicillin induced epileptic model of rats. In control group of 10 rats simple right cranietomy was done and needle electrodes were bilaterally inserted into pairetal and occipital scalp, connected to EEG recording system. Experimentally induced epileptic group was obtained by instillation of 1-2 drops of crystal penicillin solution(800,000IU/mI) at right parietal area(20 rats). Postcallosotomy group was consisted of the animals stereotactically performed callosotomy with blunt ended stainless steel, sized 3 ㎜, width and 0.5 ㎜, thickness(20 rats). Preoprative and postoperative EEG recordings were obtained in each animals over 20 min. The results were as follows ; 1) Bilateral synchronous epileptic discharges were shown in experimental induced epileptic group, which compared to control group. 2) Section of the corpus callosum caused the abolition of bilateral synchronous epileptic discharges, when compared to experimentally induced epileptic group. 3) Frequency of abnormal discharges in the contralateral hemisphere was more decreased than crystal penicillin-instillated lesion in postcallosotomy group. 4) The Background activity of postcallosotomy group was slower than control group. From the results of EEG analysis, corpus callosum mights play a important role in formation of bilateral synchronous discharges and callosotomy was seemed to be an effective method to control crystal penicillin induced epileptic rats, which had epileptic focus in sensorimotor cortex.

A case of T_(8-9) disc herniation presenting with signs of spinal cord compression is reported. The patient was subjected to a transpedicle approach through a midline incision and was cured completely. The other surgical techniques and the diagnostic value of the spine CT are also discussed.

조맥스의 진통 작용은 비스테로이드성 소염 진통제의 약리 작용과 같은 프로스타그라딘 합성 억제 작용에 의한 강력한 진통제이다. 이 약제의 효과를 알기위하여 통증 연구소에 내원한 42명의 만성 통증 환자에서 조맥스 100㎎을 하루 3번 경구적으로 투여하여 좋은 효과를 얻었고 약물 투약으로 인한 부작용은 16.6%로서 적었고 이들 부작용은 주로 위장계와 중추신경계 부작용이었다. This study demonstrates that the nonnarcotic analgesic Zomepirac sodium administered in repeated doses is well tolerated and effective in 42 patients with mild to severe chronic pain. When the relative incidence of side effects such as gastrointestinal up set and central nervous system disturbances are taken into account, Zomepirac is clearly the preferable therapeutic agent. We therefore, suggest that Zomepirac is an acceptable nonnarcotic agent for the management of chronic pain and that its efficacy and safety profile are consistent with current postsurgical management including early ambulation.

본 연구는 서울 오피빌딩의 관례적인 10배 비율의 보증금/임대료와 10배를 초과하는 계약구조의 분석을 통하여 오피스빌딩의 특성이 보증금/임대료 계약구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 선행연구를 통하여 임대인과 임차인 교섭 과정에서 임대인이 정보비대칭에 의한 역선택 헷지를 위해 보증금의 수준을 높인다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 임대인은 신용도가 낮은 임차인에 높은 보증금/임대료 계약구조를 부여할 것이고, 임차인이 선호하는 경쟁력 있는 오피스빌딩의 임대인은 월세 미납의 위험이 적은 임차인을 선별할 것으로 판단하여 분석모형을 설정하였다. 분석결과 지역적인 특성 이외에 물리적 특성, 계약형태 특성, 상품서비스적 특성도 유의한 결과를 나타내어 보증금/임대료 계약구조 선택에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. This study aims to analyze the impact of the structural characteristics on the office building rental contract. It compares between over and under 10 deposit to rent ratios among the Seoul office samples. Prior literature finds that the landlord and tenant in the negotiation process increase the level of deposits to hedge the adverse selection due to information asymmetry. However, more competitive landlords may prefer the tenants who have no risk of rent default. Not only regional characteristics physical characteristics, but also contract type and service characteristics show significant results appeared to affect deposit/rent contract structure.
