발달단계가 다른 참외 태좌부의 알콜발효에 미치는 무산소처리효과를 검정하였다. 참외의 발달단계별 a-cetaldehyde 및 ethanol 수준을 검정한 결과, 비대 후기 (stage 3)의 과실에서 가장 낮았다. 무산소 처리기간동안 태좌부 중의 ethanol은 꾸준히 증가 하였으며, acetaldehyde 함량의 증가는 상대적으로 미미하였다. 그러나 alcohol dehydrogenase 활성은 무산소 처리 1일 까지 급격히 증가한 다음 서서히 감소하였고, pyruvate decarboxylase 활성은 저온 처리기간 중 증가하였다. 완숙기과실의 경우 두 효소의 활성은 증가하지 않았으나, 발효산물의 축적은 관찰되어, 완숙기 과실의 알콜발효는 효소활성의 증가에 기인하는 것이 아님을 알 수 있었다. Effect of anoxia treatment on alcohol fermentation in the placenta of oriental melons (Cucumis melo) at different developmental stages was studied. Results showed that fruits at the rapid growth stage (stage III) contained the lowest amount of acetaldehyde and ethanol as compared with fruits at other developmental stages. During anoxia treatment, a steady increase in ethanol content was observed in the placenta of oriental melons, regardless of their developmental stages, while the increment of acetaldehyde content was relatively small. Alcohol dehydrogenase in growing and maturing stage fruits showed increased activity with the maximum value at one day after the onset of anoxia treatment and then decreased gradually. An increase in the activity of pyruvate decarboxylase was also observed during anoxia.

More than 8M tons of coal ashes are generated from coal-fired thermal power plants every year in Korea. Excluding the recycled portion (Current recycling rate: approximately 70%), all of the generated coal ashes end up in coastal landfills. Currently, the difficulties faced in establishing new ash treatment fields are attributed to the concerns raised over the environmental impacts caused by the landfills at individual plant facilities. Given the number of coal-fired thermal power plants to be built in the future (reflected in the 7th Basic Plan for Long-term Electricity Supply and Demand), building new ash treatment fields or seeking a new treatment plan seems unavoidable. Based upon a review of coal ash and its management, this study concluded that the most effective and fundamental strategy to minimize the environmental impacts resulting from coal ash landfills is to avoid constructing new coal-fired powerplants and furthermore, suggests that the practice of beneficial use and recycling the produced coal wastes should be encouraged.
OKT3 투여후 말초혈내 렴프구수 및 림프구아형(CD3,CD4,CD8,CD19,CD16+56)수의 변화에 관한 면역학적 연구

Recently, It is well established that OKT3, a murine IgG2a monoclonal antibody directed against the CD3 molecule on human T lymphocytes, is a potent immunosuppressive agent for prophylaxis and treatment of acute allograft rejection. A 34 year-old male patient had a chronic renal failure due to chronic glomerulonephritis of undetermined etiology. He experienced renal transplantation failure due to surgical complication and got a second transplantation After the second transplantation, he showed acute accelerated rejection and received OKT3 in high dose (5nw``day) for 16 days. During the treatment, peripheral blood cell population changes of absolute lymphocytes and absolute lymphocyte subsets (CD3, CD4, CD8, CD19 and CDI6+56) were evaluated. We discussed the, immune mechanism by which OKT3 induce rapid disappearance of virtually all circulating T lymphocytes, OKT3 may react with all circulating T lymphocytes and form imnune complexes, This imrn.me complex formation consists of three stages, the first is OKT3 binding to antigen of target cells, the second is cawing, erasing-linking of antigen into patches, and the third is imnune complex internalization. The cells are now surface-negative for the modulation antigens and make apparent disappearance of Tlymphocytes. Also upregulation of adhesion molecules on the endothelial cell memrane causes adhesion of lymphocytes to the endothelial cells may contribute to persistent lymphocytopenia in peripheral blood.

This study is to explore the dissatisfied factors for residents of marina development. For this purpose, the participant observation were conducted with an open survey to explore sociodemographic characteristics of 135 residents in Jeongok port and dissatisfaction factors. By selection of six residents, in-depth interviews was conducted to gather qualitative data about the dissatisfaction factors. Results of the dissatisfaction factors for the residents of marina development are as follows. First, the dissatisfaction factors with institutional problems, subcategories emerged three concepts, such as illegally parked, damaged fishing nets and non-compliance with regulations. Second, the dissatisfaction factors with damage to the environment, subcategories were two concepts such as littering and noise pollution. Third, the dissatisfaction factors with social trust, sub-categories were two concepts such as conflict between local residents and lack of regional revitalization.
