국가 상징 이미지를 활용한 골프웨어 텍스타일 디자인 개발

국가 이미지는 한 국가의 어느 특정한 개인에 대한 이미지나 전체적인 국가의 이미지, 정부 이미지, 기업의 이미지, 상품의 이미지 등 여러 가지 이미지가 복합적으로 이루어진 심상이라 할 수 있다. 외국인들이 특정 국가나 국민에 대해 보유하고 있는 관념이나 호감도 즉 국가 이미지는 그 국가의 대외적 경제 활동에 상당한 영향을 미치는 것으로 평가된다. 이러한 국가 이미지는 국가 상징을 통해 사람들에게 인식될 수 있으며, 국가 상징은 대내적으로 국민적 일체감을 조성하고, 대외적으로는 국제 사회에서 그 나라의 이미지를 부각하는데 매우 중요한 기능을 하고 있다. 특히 동계 올림픽, 월드컵, 골프 대회 등 국내외를 대상으로 진행되는 큰 규모의 이벤트는 국가 이미지 에 막대한 영향을 주고 있다. 이에 우리나라 선수들이 국제 경기를 통해 큰 성과를 달성하고 있는 골프경기를 선정하여 우리나라 국가 상징 이미지일 뿐만 아니라 동양과 서양 구분 없이 인간의 미의식을 자극하는 모티브인 꽃문양, 즉 무궁화를 선정하여 골프웨어 텍스타일 디자인 개발을 시도하였다. 본 연구의 방법 및 내용은 국가 상징 이미지와 골프웨어에 대해 문헌 자료를 통해 일반적 고찰을 시도하고, 국화인 무궁화의 조형적 특성을 바탕으로 모티브를 개발한 후 이를 다양하게 배열하여 텍스타일 디자인을 개발 하였다. 개발된 텍스타일을 여성용과 남성용으로 구분한 골프웨어에 적용한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성용 골프웨어는 디자인과 디테일이 다양하기 때문에 티셔츠, 바지, 스커트 전체에 적용하기도 하고, 주머니, 프린세스 라인, 스커트 안쪽 등 부분적인 디테일에 효과적으로 활용할 수 있었다. 반면 남성용 골프웨어에 꽃무늬 전체를 사용하는 것 보다 바지단, 배색감 등의 부분적인 디테일로 활용하는 것이 효율적이었다. 둘째, 텍스타일 디자인을 골프웨어의 아이템 전체에 사용할 시 스트라이프무늬나 체크무늬 등 기하학적 무늬와 함께 사용하면 현대적이고 모던한 이미지를 제시할 수 있었다. 셋째, 모티브의 배색에 있어서 무궁화 꽃의 본래의 색상을 사용한 것 보다 한국 국가 상징 이미지 중 국기의 색상을 사용한 것이 우리나라를 상징하는데 큰 효과가 있을 것이라 사료된다. 이상으로 살펴본 결과 한국 국가 상징 이미지 중의 하나인 무궁화를 이용하여 개발된 골프웨어를 우리나라 선수들이 국제 대회 시 착용한다면 한국의 이미지를 상승 시킬 뿐만 아니라 상품화를 통해 수익을 창출하는 등 패션산업에 기여하기를 기대해 본다. National image is a combined image of a specific person`s image, entire nation`s image, government image, company`s image and products image etc. National image, a perception that foreigners might have toward specific nation or people is regarded to have significant impact on nation`s external economic activities. This national image may be recognized by people through national symbol and national symbol plays a very important role to unify a nation internally and to stand out the nation`s image in the international society externally. In particular, large scale events such as the Winter Olympics, World Cup and Golf matches have great impacts on national image. Thus, I selected golf match where Korean players are showing wonderful results in order to develop golf wear textile through flower(rose of Sharon,) which is a Korea`s national image and motif which conjures up sense of beauty throughout the world. This study tries to have general observation on national symbol image and golf wear and made a pattern by developing motif based upon features of a rose of Sharon. By applying textile designs, the result of this study, it offered a chance to differentiate Korea from other countries and to enhance national image. The method and content of this study is to make general observation on national symbolic image and golf wear through literature materials, develop motif based upon formative features of Rose of Sharon before arraigning them in a various way and develop textile design. The result to apply the textile as for male and female to golf wear is as follows: Fist, as female golf wear is various in terms of design and details, those variety can be applied to T-shirt, pants and skirts. Also, pockets, princess line, inner skirt and other parts of them can be applied. Meanwhile, rather than using flower patterns on male golf wear, it was more effective to use flower pattern on pants hem, color scheme and other details. Second, when using textile design to overall items of golf wear, modern image could be presented with striped patterns or chekered patterns. Third, in terms of color scheme of motif, rather than using original color of Rose of Sharon, it would be more effective to use national flag colors to represent Korea. All in all, if Korean players wear golf wear with patterns of Rose of Sharon, the national symbol in international sports games, it would increase national image and contribute to fashion industry by increasing profits` sales through making them commercialized.

지역적 지속가능성의 실천으로서의 업사이클링 패션디자인 개발 - 동대문구 창신동을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to review and establish the three concepts of upcycling, zero-waste fashion design, and regional sustainability through a review of domestic and international case studies. Furthermore, it will provide the theoretical basis for using upcycling as a regional sustainability practice to create zero-waste fashion design. To conduct an empirical study, we systematized the stages of the survey on waste resources in Changsin-dong, the sourcing and utilization of waste resources, the design-planning stage, and the co-production with pattern and sewing masters as a suggested practice for regional sustainability. Through this study, we propose the possibility of regional sustainability by developing and sharing the method of zerowaste fashion design. The conclusion of the study as follows: First, upcycling fashion designs can be extended to a regional sustainability practice by taking the characteristics of social design into account. Second, by providing a design development process and methodology suitable for regional sustainability application, it is helpful to revitalize regional upcycling fashion brands and communities by providing data for upcycled fashion branding. Third, as part of the revitalization project for the Changshin and Soongin areas that started in 2014, using the region’s economic, cultural, and environmental characteristics to make and sell high-value, upcycled fashion products will contribute to social and economic achievements and aid in solving regional problems.
