POE(6)-2-ethylhexyl ether(PEH-6), Newpol PE-68(PE-68), Na₂CO₃, tetrasodium pyrophosphate(TSPP), Demol C 및 MJU-100A를 블렌딩하여 알칼리탈지제(DA)를 제조하였다. 철강 시료편에 DA를 처리하여 탈지력을 시험해 본 결과 DA-6(PEH-6 45g/PE-68 45g/Na₂CO₃ 120g/TSPP 60g/Demol C 15g/MJU-100A 15g/Water 300g mixture)의 농도 4wt%일 때 70℃와 90℃에서의 프레스방청유 부착물에 대한 탈지율은 각각 94%와 96%였고, 70℃에서의 소입유 부착물에 대한 탈지율은 94%로 나타나 DA-6은 양호한 탈지력을 보여주었다. 또한 DA-6 농도 6wt%, 60℃에서의 Ross & Miles법에 의한 기포력 측정결과, 조작 1분 후의 포고가 8㎜와 77㎜로 각각 나타나 DA-6은 양호한 저기포성 탈지제임이 입증되었다. Alkaline degreasing agent(DA) was prepared by blending of POE(6)-2-ethylhexyl ether(PEH-6), Newpol PE-68(PE-68), Na₂CO₃, tetrasodium pyrophosphate(TSPP), Demol C, and MJU-100A. The degreasing power of DA`s was tested with steel specimens and the results are the following : A solution of 4wt% DA-6(PEH-6 45g/PE-68 45g/Na₂CO₃ 120g/TSPP 60g/Demol C 15g/MJU-100A 15g/Water 300g mixture) shows 94% and 96% of degreasing power for press-rust preventing oil at 70℃ and 90℃ respectively, and 94% for quenching oil at 70℃. The test results show that DA-6 was a better degreasing agent. Foam heights measured after lminute by Rose & Miles method and Rose & Clark method at 6wt%, 60℃ were 8㎜ and 77㎜, respectively. As the result, DA-6 was proven to be a goad, low-foaming, degreasing agent.
이소시아네이트와 트리클로로 변성폴리에스테르 폴리올과의 중합에서 이소시아네이트 종류에 따른 PU 난연도료의 도막특성 및 난연성 비교

전보에서 합성한 트리클로로 변성폴리에스테르 폴리올(TCAO)에 2종류의 이소시아네이트 경화제(Desmodur N-3300과 L-75)를 선정하여 상온경화시켜 PU계 난연도료(TACO/N-3300=TCAON, TCAO/L-75=TCAOL)를 각각 제조하였다. 제조된 난연도료로서 물성시험을 시행한 결과 경도, 내마모성, 건조시간은 TCAOL쪽이, 접착력과 연화도는 서로 비슷하게, 가사시간, 60˚ 경면광택도, 점도, 촉진내후성은 TCAON쪽이 더 좋게 나타났다. 난연성분인 trichliroacetic acid 함량 30 wt%에서의 2종류 도막의 LOI값은 29~30%로 나타나 양호한 난연효과를 보여주었다. PU flame-retardant coatings, TCAO/N-3300 (TCAON) and TCAO/L-75 (TCAOL), were prepared by curing trichloro modified polyster polyol (TCAO) with two types of isocyanate curing agents, Desmodur N-3300 and L-75, at room temperature. The physical properties of the prepared coatings were examined. The hardness, abrasion resistance, drying time of TCAOL were better than those of TCAON. However, the pot-life, 60˚specular gloss, viscosity, accelerated weathering resistance of TCAON were better than those TCAOL. The cross-hatch adhesion and fineness of grinds were similar in both the coatings. At 30 wt% of trichloro acetic acid, which is a flame-retarding component, the LOI values of the films of the two coatings were in the range of 20~30%, indicating good flame retardancy of the coatings.

N/A A silicone softner (SS-5), a permanent press (PP) finish, was prepared by blending silicone oil KF-96 (as a lubricating component) and beef tallow hardened oil (as a softening component) which was synthesized from fatty polyamide salts. The prepared SS-5 and the PP finishing resin were applied to PP finishing cotton cloth and P/C gingham sample by one-bath method. The properties such as crease recovery, tear strength, and bending resistance were tested. The samples treated with SS-5 and PP finishing resin showed improved properties when comparing with the untreated ones, with the ones treated only with PP finishing resin, with ones treated with commercial PP finishing softners and PP finishing resin. The grades of fabric samples treated with 3% SS-5 were fifth grade in the bending resistance test.

Durable softening water repellents such as PODCW, PDDCW, and PEDCW were prepared by blending cationized polymers, fatty carbamide, waxes, and emulsifiers. The cationized polymers included poly (octadecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate)[PODC]and poly (n-dodecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate) [PDDC]and poly (2-ethylhexyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate)[PEDC]. After the PET fabrics were treated with these water repellents, water repellency, softness, and durability of the PET fabrics were examined by various methods : water repellency by the hydrostatic pressure and the contact angle methods, softness by crease recovery and tearing strength, and durability by washability, respectively, Rating of water repellency of PET fabrics treated with PODCW was 80^+. but those treated with PDDCW and PEDCW were not high enough to be used in industry.

Durable softening water repellents for nylon fiber were synthesized, using two compounds: quaternized octadecyl methacrylate-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer as a mother resin of water repellent and quaternized fatty carbamide for improving softness and hydrostatic pressure, of which syntheses were studied in the previous papers. They were blended with waxes and emulsifiers in a variety of ratios and synthesized into water repellent PADWC, and it was nylon taffeta treated with and without textile finishing resin. The synthesized water repellents can be used either or without resin. The optimum curing temperature was 150 to 160℃ and the optimum concentration was 3 to 5wt%. In the independent and conjunct treatment, the water repellency of nylon taffeta samples have no remarkable changes between initial value and that after three times washing, so these prove that the synthesized compounds are durable water repellent. The water repellency of PADWC-3 and -4 were around 90. Also, comparison of crease recovery and tear strength after repelling treatment showed that the synthesized water repellents have a very high softening effect.

N/A Alkaline powder cleaning agents (APCAs) were prepared by blending of Na_(2)Co_(3), tetrasodium pyrophosphate (TSPP). sodium orthosilicate (Na-OSi), Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate (303C), Demol C, and MJU-100A (100A). The physical properties of APCAs tested with steel specimen showed the following results. The cleaning powers of APCA-6(Na_(2)Co_(3) 250g/TSPP 70g/Na-OSi 40g/303C 60g/Demol C 50g/100A 30g mixture) for press-rust preventing oil was 97% and 98% degreasing at 2wt%, 70℃ and 90℃, respectively; for quenching oil, the cleaning power of APCA-6 was 95% degreasing at 2wt% and 70℃. From the results, it was ascertained that APCA-6 exhibited a good cleaning power. Also low foaming power tests proved that APCA-6 maintained good defoaming effect.

N/A An acrylic resin was synthesized with several monomers, styrene(St), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(2-HEMA), n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and acetoacetoxyethl methacrylate(AAEM) to prepare a high-solid coatings. Then, a high-solid acryl/melamine coatings was prepared by curing the acrylic resin with a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmelamine(HMMM). The curing behavior of the acrylic resin with HMMM was investigated by the Ozawa method using DSC. For AAEM/HMMM and 2-HEMA/HMMM curing reactions, activation energies were 33.01 and 27.12 ㎉/㏖ and frequency factors were 9.54×10exp(15) and 1.53×10exp(13) min^1, respectively. From the results, it was found out that 2-HEMA showed higher reactivity with the curing agent than AAEM.

N/A Two-component polyurethane flame retardant coatings (ATTBC) were prepared by blending polyisocyante (TDI-adduct) with ATTBs mentioned at the previous paper. Most of the physical properties of the flame retardant coatings were comparable to those of non-flame retardant coatings. Especially, the hardness, impact resistance, and accelerated weathering resistance were remarkably improved with the increase of the content of 1.4-butanediol. Coatings containing 10 and 15 wt% 1.4-butanediol, ATTBC-10C and ATTBC-15C, were not flammable in vertical fame-retardancy test. Their char area recorded 1.1∼11.6cm^2 in 45。 eckel bumer method.
