        Optimization Method of Reference Slip Speed in Clutch Slip Engagement in Vehicle Powertrain

        Recently, as vehicles are getting more intelligent, interest in improving vehicle ride comfort has been increasing. Appropriate control of a clutch in the vehicle powertrain can play a major role in improving the vehicle ride comfort. Previously, many researches on tracking controllers of clutch slip speed and clutch transmitted torque in clutch slip engagement control have been conducted. However, little research on an optimization method of the reference clutch slip speed and clutch torque has been performed. Therefore, in this study, the optimization method of the reference clutch slip speed in clutch slip engagement in the vehicle powertrain is proposed to improve clutch lifespan and vehicle ride comfort. The proposed method is verified through clutch slip engagement simulations using AMESIM and MATLAB Simulink.

        ENGINE INDICATED TORQUE ESTIMATION OF A NATURALLY ASPIRED GASOLINE ENGINE

        The information of clutch transmitted torque is needed when controlling a clutch in a vehicle powertrain. However, engine indicated torque is a very important variable when estimating the clutch torque. The engine indicated torque is generally estimated as a function of engine rotational speed and the mass flow rate of air from an intake manifold into cylinders, which is referred as port air mass flow. The port air mass flow cannot be measured but should be estimated in a real vehicle. In previous studies, the port air mass flow was estimated using the information of the mass flow rate of air into the intake manifold through a throttle plate, which is referred as throttle air mass flow, and the information of air pressure in the intake manifold together. However, this study proposes a new estimation method of the port air mass flow using only the information of the throttle air mass flow. In addition, the engine indicated torque is estimated using the estimated port air mass flow and compared with the measured value. The estimation method of the port air mass flow and engine indicated torque, presented in this study, is verified with production engine experiments.

        전세계적으로 자동차 환경 규제가 날로 강화되고 있으며 자동차는 전자화로 인하여 점점 지능화 되어가고 있다. 이에 따라 자동차의 효율 증대와 승차감 개선에 관한 관심이 늘고 있다. 자동차 파워트레인에서 클러치의 적절한 제어는 자동차 효율을 높이고 승차감을 개선하는데 큰 역할을 할 수 있다. 선행 연구에서 클러치 슬립 체결 제어 시 클러치 슬립 제어 및 클러치 전달 토크 제어와 같은 하위 제어기에 관해서는 많이 다루어져 왔다. 한편 클러치 슬립 제어 시 레퍼런스 클러치 슬립 속도 및 클러치 전달 토크를 생성하는 방법에 관해서는 연구가 많이 진행되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자동차 파워트레인에서 클러치 슬립 제어시 클러치 슬립 에너지 손실과 승차감을 최적화하는 레퍼런스 클러치 슬립 속도 생성 방법에 관하여 다루고자 한다.

        북한강 수계에 출현한 남조류와 이취미의 상관관계

        To evaluate the relationship between dynamics of cyanobacteria and odorous compounds, a monthly monitoring of water quality and phytoplankton were conducted at the three serial lakes (Lake Ui-am, Lake Cheong-pyeong and Lake Pal-dang) in the North Han River for 11 times from May 2014 to March 2015. In the three serial lakes, phytoplankton communities showed that seasonal changes in Bacillariophyceae- Cyanophyceae-Bacillariophyceae. Anabaena and Pseudanabaena were dominant species in August and September 2014. At the same time the odors (Geosmin, 2-MIB) were also detected with high concentration. Relationship between environmental factors and cyanobacterial abundance showed a significant correlation with Anabaena circinalis and geosmin (r=0.983, p<0.01). In the case of Pseudanabaena limnetica showed a significant correlation of total nitrogen (r=0.685, p<0.01) and NO3-N (r=0.723, p<0.01). In addition, similarly Pseudanabaena limnetica and 2-MIB (r=0.717, p<0.01) was high. The odorous compounds appeared in the North Han River water were considered to be a direct relationship with cyanobacteria.

        팔당호의 계절별 열적 및 화학적 층화 특성

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermal and chemical stratification in Lake Paldang 2013-2018 weekly using Schmidt’s stability index (SSI) and the index of chemical stratification (IC-i). The annual average for SSI was 19.1 g cm/cm<sup>2</sup> with the maximum value of 45.3 g cm/cm<sup>2</sup> in the summer and the minimum value of 4.8 g cm/cm<sup>2</sup> in fall-winter showing seasonal differences as well as increased vertical mixing in the summer. The lake stability increased higher in 2016 as compared with the other period. The most influential factors of thermal stratification were temperature and heavy rainfall. Especially, high water temperature and a prolonged residence duration caused by reduced rainfall and inflows could result in an increase of the stratification period. While decreasing inflow and outflow at the end of the rainfall, the thermal stratification was restrengthened within 7-14 days, and then stabilized rapidly before the rainfall. IC-DO increased with high air temperature in the spring and fall-winter. However increasing sunshine duration and residence time and decreasing rate of outflow caused an increase of IC-DO in the summer. Rainfall (less than 800 mm/year) and discharge (less than 200 CMS) significantly declined in 2015 resulting in IC-DO (0.77) increased more than three times over the other years and bottom water hypoxia occurred. The SSI and IC-i used in this study could be applied to other lakes to understand changes in stratification and mixing dynamics.

        한강 주요지천의 지역적 및 계절적 수질변화

        The quality of surface water is a very important issue to use various demands like as drinking water, industrial, agricultural and recreational usages. There has been an increasing demand for monitoring water quality of many rivers by regular measurements of various water quality variables. However precise and effective monitoring is not enough, if the acquired dataset is not analyzed thoroughly. Therefore, the aim of this study was to estimate differences of seasonal and regional water quality using multivariate data analysis for each investing tributaries in Han River. Statistical analysis was applied to the data concerning 11 mainly parameters (flow, water temperature, pH, EC, DO, BOD, COD, SS, TN, TP and TOC) for the time period 2012∼2016 from 12 sampling sites. The seasonal water quality variations showed that each of BOD, TN, TP and TOC average concentration in spring and winter was higher than that of summer and fall, respectively. In summer each flow rate and average concentration of SS was higher than any other seasons, respectively. The correlation analysis were explained that EC had a strong relationship with BOD (r=0.857), COD (r=0.854), TN (r=0.899) and TOC (r=0.910). According to principal component analysis, five principal components (Eigenvalue > 1) are controlled 98.0% of variations in water quality. The first component included TP, DO, pH. The second component included EC, TN. The third component included SS. The fourth component included flow. The last component included Temp. Cluster analysis classified that spring is similar to fall and winter with water quality parameters. AnyA, WangsA, JungrA and TancA were identified as affected by organic pollution. Cluster analysis derived seasonal differences with investigating sites and better explained the principal component analysis results. 지표수의 수질은 음용수, 공업용수, 농업용수 등과 같이 다양한 용도로 이용하기 위해서 아주 중요하다. 다양한 수질변수들에 대한 정기적인 수질조사가 실시되고 있으며 정확하고 효과적인 분석 및 해석이 수반되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 다변량 분석방법을 이용하여 지역적 및 계절적 수질변화를 평가하는데 있다. 2012년부터 2016까지 5년간 12개 조사지점에 대하여 유량(flow)과 수질항목(water temperature, pH, EC, DO, BOD, COD, SS, TN, TP 및 TOC)을 조사 분석하였다. 계절적 수질변화에서는 봄과 겨울의 BOD, TN, TP 및 TOC 평균농도가 여름 및 가을에 비하여 높게 조사되었다. 유량 및 SS 의 평균농도가 다른 계절에 비하여 여름이 높았다. 상관분석에서 EC는 BOD(r=0.857), COD(r=0.854), TN(r=0.899) 및 TOC(r=0.910) 와 높은 상관성을 나타냈다. 주성분분석에서 요인 1은 TP, DO 및 pH을포함하며 32.0%, 요인 2는 EC 및 TN을 포함하며 26.0%, 요인 3은 SS을 포함하며 18.0%의 기여율을 보였고, 요인 4는 유량을 포함하며 12.0%, 요인 5는 수온을 포함하며 10.0%를 보였다. 5개의 요인은 전체수질변동 특성의 98.0%를 설명할 수 있었다. 안양천, 왕숙천, 중량천 및 탄천은 유기오염물질의 영향을받는 것으로 조사되었다. 군집분석에서 조사지점에 대한 계절적 차이를 도출하였으며, 또한 군집분석 결과는 주성분분석 결과 해석을 더 잘 설명하게 되었다.
