The use of autopolymerizing-cured resin and light-cured resin for direct relining of complete and partial dentures has been popular. This investigation compared the adhesion of autopolymerizing-cured reline resin(Toluso Rebase, Mild Rebaron) or light-cured reline resin(Mild Rebaron LC. Lighton_U) to metal base of resin bse. Cylindrical samples were made from metal(Biosil(R)) or heat-cured resin(QC-20) and were prepared to produce a flat bonding surface. Cylindrical matal samples were roughened by scratch or by scratch and sandblast and were treated with primer(MR Bond) after scratch and sandblast. And then, liners were prossesed to the cylindrical metal or resin samples according to the manufacturers recomendations so as to bond metal base or resin base. The specimens were tested in pure tension by using an instron Univasal testing machine for the four direct reline resins. The results were as follows : 1. In comparison with tensile bond strength of material relined on resin base or metal base, the case of resin base produced significantly higher tensile bond strengths that the case of metal base. 2. Metal surface pretreatment of primer improved the tensile bond strength between the reline resin and the metal(Biosil^(R)) base. 3. The tensile bond strengths of Mild Rebaron LC relined on resin base or metal base were similar to those of the other reline resins.

This research proposes the use of a patent analysis methodology that can suggest promising technology in the ICT sector at the micro-level. This approach identifies core patents from the technology field, groups them as research frontiers (RFs), and develops a visualized network based on the citing relationships to monitor the relationship among RFs. In addition, it calculates a “promising index” based on the growth potential, impact, and marketability of patents to ultimately derive promising RFs. To illustrate the proposed approach, this research presents analysis results for a chosen area, which is the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) technology field. By proposing promising technological fields at the micro-level, the proposed methodology will serve as a useful decision-making support tool in selecting R&D projects, technology planning, and determining technology policy direction.

Data on patent and scientific paper is considered as a useful information source for analyzing technological information and has been widely utilized. Technology big data is analyzed in various ways to identify the latest technological trends and predict future promising technologies. Clustering is one of the ways to discover new features by creating groups from technology big data. Patent includes refined bibliographic information such as patent classification code whereas scientific paper does not have appropriate bibliographic information for clustering. This research proposes a new approach for clustering data of scientific paper by utilizing reference titles in each scientific paper. In this approach, the reference titles are considered as textual information because each reference consists of the title of the paper that represents the core content of the paper. We collected the scientific paper data, extracted the title of the reference, and conducted clustering by measuring the text-based similarity. The results from the proposed approach are compared with the results using existing methodologies that one is the approach utilizing textual information from titles and abstracts and the other one is a citation-based approach. The suggested approach in this paper shows statistically significant difference compared to the existing approaches and it shows better clustering performance. The proposed approach will be considered as a useful method for clustering scientific papers.
