        상악 구개측 중앙부에 매복된 과잉치

        과잉치는 치배 형성기에 정상 치판의 과도한 증식의 결과로 발생하며 산발적일 수도 있고 유전적일 수도 있다. 발생 빈도는 1~3%이며,2:1의 비율로 남아에게 호발한다. 주로 상악 전방부에서 많이 발견되며, 매복, 영구치의 위치 이상, 정중부 이개, 낭종, 비강으로의 맹출 등과 같은 다양한 합병증을 나타낼 수도 있다. 상악 전방부에서 발견되어지는 과잉치는 치축방향에 따라 위치가 결정되며 상악 전방부 과잉치의 1/3 정도는 역위 매복되어 맹출의 가능성이 없지만, 치낭의 치관 부위가 정상적인 관계로 존재하는 한 과잉치의 이동이 일어날 수 있다. 치아의 이동은 경구개, 소구치 부위, 비강까지도 일어날 수 있다. 또한 전상악 수직고경의 성장으로 시간이 지남에 라 외과적 접근이 어려워질 수 있다. 이에 본 두 증례에서는 역위 매복된 상악 전방부의 과잉치가 구개 측 중앙부까지 이동된 것을 발견하여 외과적으로 제거하였다. Supernumerary tooth develops as a result of abnormal proliferation of the dental lamina during the initiation stage of dental development. It could be a sporadic occurrence or a hereditary transmission. Supernumerary tooth occurs with a frequency of 1 to 3%, Generally, there is a 2:1 preference for boys. It is usually found in the anterior portion of the maxilla and may be associated with complications such as impaction, malposition of permanent teeth, formation of diastema, cysts and eruption into nasal cavity. The position of supernumerary tooth found in the anterior portion of the maxilla is determined by the axis of the tooth. One third of supernumerary tooth in the anterior portion of the maxilla has no possibility of eruption due to its invertedly impacted position. However, as long as the coronal part of the follicle remain intact, migration of supernumerary tooth is possible. The migration may occur into the palate, the premolar region, the sinus or the nasal cavity. Also, growth of vertical dimension of maxilla could make surgical approach difficult as time goes by. For this reason, we have found invertedly impacted mesiodens moved to the vault of the palate in the two cases, and extracted supernumerary tooth surgically.

      • Electrical stimulation facilitates differentiation of chemically induced cardiac spheroids

        Direct reprogramming technique which converts somatic cells to other lineage cells has been attracting attention because this method can easily generate the desired cell types without using stem cells. However, there is still a need for improvement in reprogramming efficiency. Here, we generated 3D cardiac spheroids using direct reprogramming with small molecules. We confirmed that cardiac-specific markers were expressed in formed 3D spheroids and gene expression levels associated with cardiac differentiation were upregulated compared to 2D direct reprogramming. To further enhance reprogramming efficiency, we briefly screened the voltages which can facilitate 3D cardiac reprogramming and affect the beating of induced cardiac cells. Electrically stimulated spheroids showed upregulated cardiac gene expression compared with the ones without stimulation.

        Gastrointestinal tract modeling using organoids engineered with cellular and microbiota niches

        The recent emergence of organoid technology has attracted great attention in gastroenterology because the gastrointestinal (GI) tract can be recapitulated in vitro using organoids, enabling disease modeling and mechanistic studies. However, to more precisely emulate the GI microenvironment in vivo, several neighboring cell types and types of microbiota need to be integrated into GI organoids. This article reviews the recent progress made in elucidating the crosstalk between GI organoids and components of their microenvironment. We outline the effects of stromal cells (such as fibroblasts, neural cells, immune cells, and vascular cells) on the gastric and intestinal epithelia of organoids. Because of the important roles that microbiota play in the physiology and function of the GI tract, we also highlight interactions between organoids and commensal, symbiotic, and pathogenic microorganisms and viruses. GI organoid models that contain niche components will provide new insight into gastroenterological pathophysiology and disease mechanisms.

      • 2P-342 Non-viral Toxin Gene Delivery for Treatment of Cancer

        In this study, we develop a novel non-viral cancer gene therapy using toxin genes derived from bacteria. In the treatment of cancer, viral vectors for gene delivery often cause serious side effects such as mutagenesis and immunogenicity. Thus, we synthesized and screened cationic polymers for effective gene delivery to cancer cells without significant toxicity to normal cells. We found that delivery of toxin genes in the form of nanoparticles selectively repressed the growth of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis. Also, we confirmed the anti-tumor effect of our gene therapy in a tumor-bearing xenograft mouse model. In conclusion, we suggest efficient and safe cancer gene therapy which could selectively inhibit tumor growth and we believe that our technique could be applied to treat cancer in combination with other conventional treatments. <sup>**</sup>This study was supported by a grant (2017R1A2B3005994) from the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), Republic of Korea.

      • 포토레지스트를 이용한 다층 배선용 층간 절연막 제조

        Recently, Polyimides are one of the most widely used engineering plastics, particularly in aerospace, micro electronics, printed circuit, and high performance adhesive industries. In micro electronics industry, polyimides have been used for the application of inter layer dielectric materials (ILD) due to their low dielectric constant (k=3.0~3.5), thermal stability and excellent mechanical strength. To synthesize a new positive photosensitive polyimide, polyimide precursor (polyamic acid) was prepared by condensation polymerization of 3,3-4,4-benzophenone- tetracarboxylic anhydride (BTDA), pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) with 4,4-methylenebis[benzenamine] (MDA). And parts of carboxylic acid groups in poly(amic acid) were esterified with 2-diazo-1-naphthoquinone-5-sulfonyl chloride (NQD-ester) in presence of Na₂CO₃/dioxane followed by the chemical imidization of residual carboxylic acid units. The chemical structure of resulting polymer was characterized by ¹H NMR, FT-IR, and its thermal properties were examined by TGA and dielectric constant measured by impedance analyzer. From the results of TGA, PI(BTDA), PI(PMDA) and PI-NQD(PMDA) were stable up to 250 ℃ without thermal degration. But thermal stability of PI-NQD(PMDA) was superior to PI(BTDA) and PI(PMDA). We found that thermal stability of the prepared PI-NQD(PMDA) increased with sulfone group, hard segment at high temperatures. And dielectric properties of PI(BTDA), PI(PMI)A) and PI-NQD(PMDA) were increased according to backing temp and baking time. These suits was consistent with Maxwell equation. The polyimides were useful as positive working photodegradable polymer. Especially, the polyimide containing pyromellitic diimide moiety and sulfone group exhibited high thermal stability and low dielectric costants.

        This paper presents a process incapability index to provide manager with various information of process and to reduce cost. The introduced process incapability indices indicate information about mean and variance of manufacturing process and variance of inspection process to evaluate process capability using ratio of variance and difference between target and mean to specification. This model can be used by the scale of six sigma management.
