        경기도 농촌형 초등학교 어린이 대상 건강교육 프로그램의 효과 평가

        The purpose of this study was to implement and evaluate the health education program for elementary school children. The program consisted of nutritional education and physical exercise. The subjects composed of 89 school children, first through sixth grade (n = 100), who had completed ten weeks of health education program from April through July 2010. Pre-post intervention design was used to evaluate the program effectiveness. After completing health education program, the number of overweight subjects decreased (boys 13 to 11 and girls 11 to 9) and the number of obese subjects decreased from 5 to 4 for boys and 4 to 2 for girls The number of sit-ups significantly increased in both 1-2 grade girls and 3-4 grade girls. Backward trunk extension of 1-2 grade girls also significantly increased (p < 0.05). The level of serum total cholesterol decreased from 171.8 mg/dL to 153.5 mg/dL (p < 0.001). Hypercholesterolemia (above 239 mg/dL), hyperLDLcholesterolemia (above 175 mg/dL) and low level hemoglobin subjects changed to normal levels. Total score of nutrition knowledge increased from 5.9 to 6.1 (p < 0.05), percentage of perception answers increased significantly in 5 out of 10 items and percentage of correct answers increased significantly in 6 out of 10 items (p < 0.05). Three food habits improved, including, “having breakfast”, “having diverse foods” and “having vegetables per meal” (p < 0.05). Two self-efficacy items improved significantly, including, “having meals slowly”, “having exercise instead of watching TV or computer” (p < 0.05). These results suggest that health education program for elementary school children including nutritional education and physical exercise may be effective to improve their anthropometric characteristics, physical fitness, hyperlipidemia, nutrition knowledge, food habits and self-efficacy.       • Thiuram계 화물합들의 가황촉진 효과에 관한 연구

        Three thiuram disulfide derivatives which could be used as vulcanizing accelerators 〔tetramethyl thiuram disulfide(TMDM), tetraethyl thiuram disulfide(TETD), and tetra-n-butyl thiuram disulfide(TBTD)〕were prepared by oxidizing the corresponding dithiocarbamates with hydrogen peroxide-sulfuric acid or chlorine. Tetramethyl thiuram monosulfide(TMTM) was also prepared by the reaction of the corresponding disulfide with potassium cyanide. The average particle size of TMTD was about 1.0∼2.2μ. The particle size of TMTD obtained from hydrogen peroxide-sulfuric acid oxidation was somewhat smaller than that from chlorine oxidation. The effect of smaller particle size showed a little better tensile strength and elongation properties in the vulcanized rubber. By applying these thiuram disulfide accelerators to the natural rubber, we found that the scorch time became speedy when the carbon number diminished in N-alkyl substituents. When the natural rubber was vulcanized with a mixture of TMTM 〔2.0 part per hundred recipe (phr)〕and sulfur (0.75phr), the physical properties of the cured rubber were same as those vulcanized with TMTD.

      • 중·고등학교 여학생의 식행동과 주관적 건강상태의 관계

        This study was conducted in order to examine the relationship between eating behavior and subjective health state in middle and high school girls and to provide basic information for educating female students on healthy eating behaviors and habits and the importance of health. For this study, middle and high school girls in Incheon Metropolitan City were sampled through convenient sampling, and 263 questionnaires were used as valid data. The survey used a questionnaire, and collected data were analyzed using PASW 21.0. The hypotheses were tested through x2‐test and correlation analysis at significance level p<.05, and the results were as follows. First, in the comparison of eating behaviors between middle and high school students, a significant difference was observed in daily eating frequency(p<.05), average duration per meal (p<.01), and overeating(p<.01), but no significant difference was observed in regularity of meals, daily snack intake, and regularity of breakfast. Second, subjective health state was significantly different between middle and high school students(p<.001). Third, among eating behaviors, regularity of meals(p<.001), overeating(p<.001), eating frequency (p<.01), and regularity of breakfast(p<.05) were found to be in correlation with subjective health state. In conclusion, it is important for home, school, and the government to make efforts together to promote right nutrition education and healthy life habits for female students’ balanced nutrition intake.

      • 스트레스가 지방산 조성이 다른 식이를 섭취한 흰쥐의 면역 기능에 미치는 영향

        본 실험에서는 stress가 지방산 조성이 다른 고지방식이를 준 Spague Dawley종 흰주 23마리의 면역기능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였으며 식이지방으로는 옥수수유와 참치유를 20%수준으로 7주간 공급하였다. Stressor로는 쥐 cage를 4/5정도 차단하여 외부와의 고립감을 느끼도록 하였으며 이들의 영향을 알아보기 위하여 체중, 식이효율, 장기 무게와 mitogen을 사용하여 면역능력을 측정하였고 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 체중, 체중증가및 식이효율은 stress에 의한 영향은 없었으나 지방의 종류에 의한 차이를 보였으며 참치유를 섭취한 군에서 유의적으로 낮았다. 2. 장기무게중 stress에 희해 간의 무게는 유의적인 증가하였으면 adrenal gland, 체중당 adrenal gland무게는 감소하였다. 식이지방에 따라 체중당의 간, spleen, adrenal gland무게에서는 옥수수유군이 참치유군보다 유의적으로 낮게 나타났으며 thymus의 경우는 옥수수유군에서 높은 값을 나타내었다. 3. Stress에 따른 면역기능을 알아보기 위하여 mitogen으로써 ConA를 처리한 경우에는 면역세포의 증식이 낮아졌으면 PHA의 경우에는 면역세포의 증식이 활발해지는 경향을 보였다. 식이지방으로는 옥수수유군에서 높은 경향을 나타내었다. PHA/ConA ratio 경우는 전반적으로 stress에 의해 약간 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 4. 세포내 단백질 합성능력은 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 stress에 의해 대부분의 mitogen으로 유도한 면역세포 증식반응이 낮아졌다. 식이지방으로는 참치유군에서 높은 경향을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면 식이지방의 종류와 stress가 면역기능을 담당하는 기관의 무게에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 면역능력에는 유의적인 영향을 나타내지 않았으나 stress에 의해 면역능력이 증가하는 경향을 보였고 참치유군보다는 옥수수유군에서 면역능력이 높은 경향을 보였으며 이들에 대한 좀 더 활발한 연구가 필요하다고 사료되어진다. This study was concerned to investigate the effect of stress on the immune responses in rats with different dietary fats. 23 male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighting 65-75g, were fed two different types of dietary oils for 7 weeks. For sterss rats made to feel isolation in the outside intercept rat cages by 4/5 degree and immune capacity is measured to use body weight, food efficiency ratio, organ weight for showing those effect. 1. Body weight, weight gain and food efficiency ratio had no effect on stress, but these were significantly low for group which gives tuna oil. 2. In organ weight, weight of liver increased significantly, and adrenal gland, adrenal gland index decreased by stress. Liver index, spleen, adrenal gland index in corn oil fed group were lower than the result of tuna oil group. In the case of thymus in corn oil fed group was higher than tuna oil group. 3. According to stress, ConA-induced lymphocyte proliferation was decreased but PHA-induced lymphocyte proliferation was increased in immune capacity. In the cases of dietary fat corn oil group was higher than tuna oil PHA/ConA ratio seemed to increase by sterss. 4. Cell protein synthesis capacity have no significant difference but a major portion of mitogen induced lymphocyte proliferation decreased. The capacity of tuna oil group was higher than corn oil group in dietary fats. A sort of dietary fat and sterss had an effect to weight of immune response organ, and those had no significant effect to immune capacity. Immune capacity seemed to increase by stress, the result of corn oil group was higher than the result of tuna oil group.

      • Rhodotorula graminis sw-54에 의한 carotenoid 생산성에 관한 연구

        A potent extracellular-lipid producing yeast, Rhodotorula graminis sw-54??, was shake-cultured at 25℃ for 8 days. the carotenoid components produced by the yeast were torularhodin (29.76%), torulene (29.37%), neurosporene (2.62%), γ-carotene (14.84%), β-zeacarotene (2.32%) and β-carotene (21.09%). When the yeast was shake-cultured at a different temperature from 5℃ to 35℃, the amount of produced pigments was different depending on the kinds of the carotenoid components. The amount of γ-carotene, a precursor of β-carotene and torulene, was kept almost the same at a different temperature of cultivation. The conversion ratio of γ-carotene to β-carotene was large at low temperature and at room temperature γ-carotene was mainly converted to torulene.
