        교육을 억압하는 문화에 관한 질적 연구: 햇살 테니스회를 중심으로

        햇살 테니스회에는 고수가 “하수를 징그럽게 가리는” 문화가 존재하는데, 이러한 문화는 테니스를 재미있게 즐기려는 사람들의 욕구와 관련이 있다. 이 연구에서는 질적 연구 방법을 적용하여 테니스 재미와 수준의 관계를 밝히고, 이를 바탕으로 교육을 억압하는 문화에 대해 논의하였다. 햇살 테니스 동호인들은 테니스가 “어려워서”, “쉽게 안 늘어서”, “시간이 많이 걸려서”, “끝이 없어서”, “정복이 안 돼서”, “완성이라는 게 없어서” 재미있다고 말하였다. 수준과 관련하여, 그들은 수준이 비슷한 사람들과의 “팽팽한” 시합이 가장 재미있다고 말하였다. 또한 자신보다 수준이 조금 높은 사람과의 게임도 “배울 게 많다고 생각하고 긴장하고 칠 수” 있기 때문에 재미있다고 말하였다. 결론에서는 햇살 테니스장에서 발견한 내용을 토대로 다음 세 가지를 논의하였다. 첫째, ‘수준이 비슷한 사람들과 게임할 때 느끼는 재미’와 ‘수준이 높은 사람들과 게임할 때 느끼는 재미’는 서로 다른 재미로 구별할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 문화와 교육의 관계를 생각해 볼 수 있는데, “하수를 징그럽게 가리는” 독특한 문화는 교육적 소통을 억압하는 주요 원인으로 작용하고 있었다. 셋째, 햇살 테니스 동호인들은 테니스가 재미있는 이유를 수준을 높여가는 것에서 찾고 있었지만, “하수를 징그럽게 가리는” 문화 속에서 이러한 욕구를 자연스럽게 충족시키기는 어려웠다. Sports games provide enjoyment to players, on the other hand, it represents a culture which is related to human desire in the enjoyment of exhilarating games. High-level players were believed to have a high tendency to dislike playing with low-level players. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the existence of a very particular culture between high-level and low-level sports players in the Haesal tennis club. In this study, the participants explained about how they were addicted to tennis, and they further explained about the challenge of tennis was the cause of their addiction. Moreover, the high-level player participants admitted that it was too difficult for them to play against the lower level players. They would prefer to play against the players who have similar or higher playing skills and techniques. On the basis of the stated culture, the findings of this study have reached the following three conclusions on tennis. First, it is necessary to distinguish two types of fun in tennis; playing with similar level players as well as playing with higher level players. Second, there is a need to consider the relationship between culture and education. The formation of this tennis culture, where a tension between high and low levels occurs, is the main reason why there is a suppression of educational communication between players in different levels. Last, this study has revealed that the natural condition of Haesal tennis club is insufficient to satisfy tennis players`` desires, because the members in the club failed to make an equilibrium in progress and enjoyment.

        긴장의 교육학적 해석

        나는 햇살 테니스회에서 질적 연구를 수행하면서, 테니스의 내재적 재미가 긴장이라는 감정과 밀접한 관련이 있다는 사실을 발견하였다. 이를 계기로 이 논문에서는 긴장에 대한 교육학적인 해석을 시도하였다. 논의를 위해 긴장을 ‘일상의 긴장’, ‘교육 소재의 긴장’, ‘교육 활동의 긴장’으로 구분하였으며, 연구가 진행된 필드의 성격상 ‘교육 소재의 긴장’을 중심으로 논의가 전개되었다. 학문, 예술, 스포츠 등의 활동에는 긴장을 유발하는 독특한 장치가 내장되어 있는데, 긴장의 유발과 해소는 우리로 하여금 어떤 활동을 부담스러운 의무가 아닌 즐거운 놀이로 인식하게 만든다. 칙센트미하이는 사람들이 이러한 활동에 푹 빠져 있는 상태를 ‘플로우’로 개념화하였으며, ‘플로우’를 기술의 향상이나 도전의 수위를 높이는 것과 관련 지어 설명하였다. 그러나 실제로 질적 연구를 수행해 본 결과, 테니스에서 ‘플로우’의 체험을 결정짓는 요인은 ‘경기의 조건’이었다. 맥킨타이어는 체스, 축구, 건축과 같이 정합적이고 복합적인 활동을 ‘사회적 실천’으로 개념화하였는데, 이 논문에서는 이 개념과 관련하여 긴장에 대하여 다음 세 가지를 논의하였다. 첫째, ‘사회적 실천’은 단순한 활동에 비해 긴장을 유발하는 장치가 풍부하게 내장되어 있다. 둘째, ‘사회적 실천’이 운영되는 구체적인 방식은 우연적, 자의적으로 형성된 것으로, 구성원들의 노력이나 합의에 의해 변화가능하다. 셋째, ‘사회적 실천’의 전문가로 활동하기 위해서는 전문가로 활동하지 않을 때에는 느낄 수 없는 긴장에 직면하게 되는데, 이를 조절하는 능력은 전문가로 성공하느냐 성공하지 못하느냐와 관련이 있다. During the process of performing qualitative research at Haesal Tennis Club, I found that the intrinsic fun of tennis was very closely connected with ‘tension’. Theoretically, tension can be conceptualized into three different types, namely ‘tension in ordinary life’, ‘tension in educational subject matter’, and ‘tension in educative activity’. Therefore, this study is focused on ‘tension in educational subject matter’, an interpretation about ‘tension’ from an educational perspective. There are peculiar devices that arouse tension in disciplines, arts, sports, etc. Through the arousal and relaxation of this kind of tension, we could think that the activity is not a duty, but play. Csikszentmihalyi termed the condition of when we are immersed in that kind of activity as ‘flow’. He explained that ‘flow’ is related to the improvement of technique or the heightening of the level of challenge. However, through my fieldwork, it was found that the crucial factor of experiencing ‘flow’ in tennis is the condition of the tennis game. MacIntyre conceptualized coherent and complex activities such as chess, football, architecture, and so on as ‘social practice’. In this study, three significant ideas about ‘social practice’ are demonstrated. First, there are more devices to arouse tension in ‘social activity’ than simple activity. Second, the concrete operating system of ‘social practice’ has been formed accidently and arbitrarily, and so it can be changed by effort or agreement of the community members. Lastly, in professional practice, we have to put up with tension that amateurs do not need to face. If we failed to control this tension, it would be impossible to succeed as a professional.

        지역사회치위생학 현장(보건소)실습 실태

        Objectives: This study was obtained to identify current education status of the community dental hygiene practice. Methods: It was designed cross section and self-reported on-line questionnaire(Survey monkey). It was performed probability sampling by targeting 82 dental hygiene schools(each one faculty member) in charge of community dental hygiene curriculum and 254 community health centers``s community dental hygienists whom was working at oral health section. The response rate was 60% and 53%, respectively. The questionnaire consisted of time, duration, practice group, evaluation method, and practice contents including 63 learning objectives of dental hygiene. Results: Nearly half of these schools conduct such community field work practice in the spring semester of the junior year. This practice was mainly progressed based on average 4 students as one team per each one school for 7-8 hours a day during the period of more than 5 weeks(p<0.05). However, in case of both school and community health center, almost half of feedback after practice was not achieved and there was a difference in needs for practice education between schools and community health center. Conclusions: We should be considered that a sufficient consultation for the practice environment and its contents between schools and community health centers. It was considered that development of a standardized practice manual reflecting such requirement.

        경피적 관상동맥중재술을 받은 노인의 삶의 만족도 영향 요인

        Purpose: This study investigated the degree of stress, depression, mindfulness and life satisfaction of elderly patients who had undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and identified factors influencing life satisfaction. Methods: Participants were 106 patients over 60 years who had undergone PCI in a university hospital. Results: The mean scores for stress, depression, mindfulness, and life satisfaction were $9.10{\pm}2.53$, $7.77{\pm}3.32$, $88.57{\pm}8.47$, and $17.40{\pm}5.38$ respectively. There were statistically significant differences in life satisfaction by main source of income (F = 4.74, p = .004) and perceived health status as compared with peer (F = 4.80, p = .010). Depression (p < .001) explained 38 % of the total variance of life satisfaction, and the explanatory power increased to 42 % when mindfulness (p = .035) was added. There were significant correlations among stress, depression, mindfulness and life satisfaction of the patients. Conclusions: Depression and mindfulness were significant influencing factors on subjects' satisfaction in life. To enhance the life satisfaction of the elderly patients after PCI, it is necessary to reduce depression and to develop mindfulness-based interventions.

        지역사회통합건강증진사업에 따른 보건치과위생사의 직무역량 교육요구도

        Objectives: To determine the educational needs related to an integrated health and oral health project for community dental hygienists. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a survey was administered to 1,190 dental hygienists working in community health centers and 627 (about 53%) responded. The dependent variable was educational needs from oral health projects; the independent variables were region, job assignments, job position, and degree of self-development. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests, with PASW 20.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA), and the significance threshold was .05. Results: The educational needs of community dental hygienists were found to be high, at about 58.5 points out of 100. The highest educational needs were for oral health projects linked to public health projects. In this regard, participants reported a high need for “identification of issues and projects suited to the current state of the region,” “establishment of strategies for integration of health and oral health projects,” and “prioritization.” Conclusions: Professional education for community dental hygienists should be expanded to include integration of health and oral health. It should be based on the assessment of these professionals’ educational needs.

        Objectives: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the contents analysis of the community dental hygiene practice in the dental hygiene students and suggest the outcome based evaluation index of community dental hygiene practice. This study will provide the basic data for the community nursing and social welfare practice. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 82 dental hygiene professors and 254 dental hygienists in community health centers after receiving informed consent based on institutional review board from 5th Dec 2014 to 30th Jul 2015. A total of 49 professors and 134 dental hygienists gave the complete answers. The study instrument was adapted from the literature review. The questionnaire consisted of evaluation, purpose of evaluation, and evaluation format. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. The contents analysis was carried out through input, process, output, and outcome. Results: The practice outcome evaluation was conducted in 62.9% of the dental hygiene departments and 32.9% of the community health centers. Most of the dental hygiene professors chose To know what students learned(27.3%) and To ensure student``s role and behavior in practice(27.3%). as the purpose of evaluation. The public dental hygienists chose To score the practice grade(42.1%). The evaluation method was done anonymously. Conclusions: The outcome based evaluation in community dental hygiene practice was the best method to evaluate the practice education for the competency of the dental hygiene students.
