        Zr기 $AB_2$ Laves Phase 합금(Zr-V-Mn-Ni)의 조성에 따른 결정구조와 방전 특성

        니켈-수소화물전지의 음극재료로서 주목을 받고 있는 다원계 Zr기 Laves 합금의 조성에 따른 결정구조, 방전특성등을 조사하였다. 전극은 아크 용해한 합금을 분쇄한 분말과 PVA를 다공성니켈 foam에 충진하여 제작하였고 충방전시험은 6M KOH 용액중에서 수행하였다. 대상 합금은 ZrNi2를 기본조성으로 하여 이중 Ni의 일부를 V, Mn, Cr, Mo 또는 W로 치환한 삼원계 및 사원계 합금이었다. 이들 합금의 충방전 실험결과 ZrV0.5Mn0.5Ni1.0의 경우가 260 mAh/g로 가장 높은 방전용량을 나타내었다. 이 합금의 방전용량은 방전전류밀도의 영향을 크게 받았으며 10 mA/g과 200mA/g의 방전전류에서 각각 300mAh/g와 150mAh/g이었다. 이 합금을 110$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 경우 저율방전시에는 방전용량의 변화가 거의 없었으나 수소의 확산이 율속이 될 것으로 생각되는 고율 방잔시에서는 방전용량이 현저하게 감소하였다. 이러한 현상은 열처리에 의해 수소의확산을 용이하게 해주는 격자결함이 감소하기 때문이 아닌가 생각된다.

      • 니켈 도금층의 경도와 잔류응력

        Hardness and internal stress are very important in nickel electrofonning. Nickel sulfamate bath has been widely used in electrofonning because of its low intemal stress and moderate hardness. Nickel sulfamate bath without chloride was chosen to investigate the effect of plating variables such as temperature, PH, current density and sodium naphthalene trisulfonate on the hardness and intemaI stress. It was found that hardness increased with increasing temperature and decreasing current density and ranged from 150-310DPH. The hardness was highest at 55 'C and 10-40mA/㎤. The intemal stress increased with increasing current density and decreasing temperature. It was minimum at PH 3.0-3.8. Low intemal stress within ±1,500psi was obtained at both 50'C and 55 'C in 10-20m/㎤. The addition of sodium naphthalene trisulfonate was found to be effective in refine columnar grains thus resulted in decreasing intemal stress, increasing hardness and improving brightness.

      • 생활시설 평가가 시설변화에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 3년마다(2001-2007년까지)시설평가를 받아왔던 장애인생활시설 종사자들의 시설 평가 전·후의 시설운영 변화에 대한 인식을 파악하고 이를 토대로 시설평가제도가 효율적으로 정착되기 위한 방안을 모색하는데 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 호남지역 33개의 시설에 종사하는 종사자 총 195명을 대상으로 조사·분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 즉 시설환경 및 설비, 인적자원관리, 지역사회관계, 프로그램 및 서비스 질, 생활인의 권리, 재정 및 조직 운영의 영역 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 장애인생활시설 운영의 긍정적인 인식의 변화와 시설평가제도의 효율적 정착을 위한 제언을 제시하였다. This study aims to seek for the plans to settle the facility evaluation system effectively based on the understanding of the awareness to the facility operation change before and after the facility evaluation by the employees of the living facility of the disabled which got evaluated every 3 years (2001-2007). The result of the research and analysis on total 195 people who work at 33 facilities around Honam area in order to achieve the aim is as in the following. Namely, there appeared the statistically meaningful differences in all areas of the organizational operation and finance and the rights of the people, program and service quality, community relations, human resource administration, facility environment and equipment. Based on this research result, it suggested the positive change of people’s awareness of the living facilities of the disabled and a proposal for the effective settlement of the facility evaluation system.

        MH전지용 $\textrm{ZrV}_{x}\textrm{Mn}_{1-x-y}\textrm{Ni}_{1+y}$ Laves합금의 결정구조

        아크용해로와 진공유도로를 사용하여 니켈-수소 전지의 음극용으로 주목받고 있는 AB2 타입의 ZrV /sub x/Mn/sub 1-x/Ni/sub 1.0/, ZrV/sub x/Mn/sub 0.8-x/Ni/sub 1.2/, ZrV/sub x/Mn/sub 0.6-x/Ni/sub 1.4/합금을 용해하였다. 이들 합금은 용해한 상태에서 C14과 C15의 혼합상을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며 합금조성 및 열처리에 따라 혼합상분율이 크게 변화하였다. 이들의 결정상 및 상분율은 합금원소들의 평균원자반경비(r/sub A//r/sub B)에 따라 결정되는 것으로 밝혀졌으며 특히 열처리한 합금의 경우에는 평균원자반경비가 1.254일때를 경계로 하여 두 상의 명확간 안정구역이 설정되었다. 가압한 분위기에서 아크용해한 경우 합금성분의 손실은 미미하였으나 진공유도로를 사용하여 용해한 경우 Mn이 다량 휘발감소하여 조성이 크게 변화하였다. The crystal structure of arc melted $ZrV_{x}Mn_{1-x}Ni_{1.0},\;ZrV_{x}Mn_{0.8-x}Ni_{1.2},\;ZrV_{x}Mn_{0.6-x}Ni_{1.4}$ alloys which are known to have AB2 type Laves structure was investigated. They had mixed phases of C14 and C15. The radius ratio ($r_{A}/r_{B}$) of atoms in A site to that of B site was found to be an important parameter in explaining the omposition dependence of the crystal structure The C15 structure showed a linear increase with the ratio in as-cast conditions. However, the annealed alloys revealed a definite ratio at which the stability of both phases are divided distinctly. The composition of the alloys could be closely controlled by maintaining the argon pressure in the chamber over 1 arm during arc melting. In contrast, the alloy ingot melted in VIM showed a significant loss of hln.

        Naphthalene Trisulfonic Acid가 니켈 전착층의 표면 특성에 미치는 영향

        The effects of an organic additive, naphthalene trisulfonic acid (NTSA), contained in the nickel sulfamate bath on the surface properties of the electrodeposited nickel layer were investigated through electrochemical technique, x-ray diffraction analysis, and microscopic observation. The addition of NTSA facilitated the oxidation process of electrodeposited nickel layer during anodic scan and also increased the hardness and internal stress of the nickel film as the applied current density became higher. It seems that NTSA modulated the deposit structure during electrodeposition and so induced higher distribution of (110) orientation with respect to (200). With the increase of the NTSA in the bath, nickel layer was formed in small grain size, which resulted in enhanced surface evenness and brightness.

        Zr-V-Mn-Ni계 라브스상 합금의 미세 구조와 전기 화학적 특성

        ZrV<sub>0.1</sub>Mn<sub>0.7</sub>Ni<sub>1.2</sub> alloy ingot (bulk alloy) made by the arc melting was found to be consisting of mostly of ZrV<sub>0.2</sub>Mn<sub>0.98</sub>Ni<sub>1.04</sub> matrix alloy and ZrV<sub>0.01</sub>Mn<sub>0.13</sub>Ni<sub>1.2</sub> 2nd phase alloy. The former alloy had the form of the C15 type Laves alloy structure and the latter one had the intermetallic compound structure of Zr<sub>9</sub>sNi<sub>11</sub>. In order to investigate the effect of these two phases on the electrochemical charge-discharge characteristics of bulk ZrV<sub>0.1</sub>Mn<sub>0.7</sub>Ni<sub>1.2</sub> alloy, the matrix and the 2nd phase alloys were fabricated separately by arc melting method and their electrochemical characteristics were studied and compared with the bulk alloy. It was found that the discharge capacity was the lowest of 160 mAh/g in the 2nd phase alloy. The matrix alloy exhibited 200 mAh/g. Both were lower than that of the bulk alloy of 250 mAh/g. The matrix and the bulk alloys showed a similar properties in the activation stage, the high rate dischargeability and the self discharge characteristics. Also a signigicant capacity decrease was observed after activation in both alloys. Whereas the 2nd phase alloy showed the very different characteristics. This alloy was found to be difficult to activate. However the capacity was remained constant after the activation. Also the self discharge rate was seen to be better than those of the matrix and the bulk alloys.

        In this paper, we proposed XP KMPR-1050 negative tone resist to replace SU-8 resist for multi-layer microstructures and thick plating mold fabrication using UV-LIGA process. XP KMPR resist proposed in this paper can be easily striped using a common stripping solution such as NMP without damage of micro-structure. The conditions for the fabrication of XP KMPR micro-structure were optimized by adjustment of exposure and post-exposure bake(PEB). The 140㎛-thick and an aspect ratio at least 10 micro-structure and multi-layer structures were successfully fabricated through the process conditions. Through-mold electroplating and PR striping of XP KMPR has been successfully demonstrated.

        The Electrode Characteristics of the Zr-based Hydrogen Absorbing Alloy Fabricated by the Rapid Solidification Process

        The charge-discharge, the high-rate dischargeability, and the self discharge characteristics of the electrodes composed of rapidly solidified ZrV\ulcornerMn\ulcornerMo\ulcornerNi\ulcorneralloy, which has the form of partial substitution of Mn, Mo, Ni for V in $ZrV_2$ were studied. The alloys were prepared using Arc & RSP(Rapid Solidification Process) at the rotating roller speed of 2000 and 5000 rpm. Some of them were received heat treatment at$ 560 ^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour after the solidification to investigate the effect of the heat treatment. It was fond that cycle life was significantly improved by RSP, whereas discharge capacity, activation rte and high rate dischargeability were decreased compared with the conventional arc melting method. The capacity loss seems to be due to the loss of the crystallinity and the increase of the cycle life ascribed to the presence of the amporphous phase as well as the refined grain size of less than 0.2$\mu\textrm{m}$. Heat treatment of the alloy cooled at 2000 rpm improved the cycle life. In case of the alloys cooled at 5000 rpm, both the discharge capacity and the activation rate were significantly improved by the heat treatment.
