<버닝>에 나타나는 이창동 영화미학의 변화와 그 함의: 작가주의 관점에서

이 논문은 이창동의 최신작 <버닝>이 그의 전작들과 형식과 서사 면에서 매우 이질적임에 주목하여 전작들과 <버닝>을 비교·분석함으로써 이창동의 새로운 시도가 갖는 함의를 밝혀내고자 하였다. 이창동은 ‘포스트 코리안 뉴웨이브’시기에 활동한 한국의 대표적 작가감독이다. 그는 1997년 <초록물고기>로 작품 활동을 시작한 이래 2018년의 <버닝>에 이르기까지 총 여섯 편의 작품을 연출하였다. 소설가로 창작활동을 시작한 그의 작품세계에는 그의 비극적인 가족사라는 원체험이 항상 깊숙이 자리 잡고 있었다. 그의 소설작품의 주된 정서는 시대에 대한 죄의식과 작가로서의 사회적 책임감이었다. 영화로 활동무대를 옮긴 그는 소설의 한계를 영화에서 구현하려 하였고 소설가로서의 경력 없이는 불가능했을 서사를 직조해 내었다. 그의 서사는 일관되게 역사·사회·제도의 폭력과 오류, 그리고 그 안에 있는 인간의 성찰에 관한 것이었다. <초록물고기>와 <박하사탕>에서는 근대화의 격동의 역사를, <오아시스>와 <밀양>에서는 ‘집단’과 ‘개인’을 고찰했다. 이러한 그의 세계는 장르의 차용, 리얼리즘과 모더니즘적 수사학을 통해 구현되었고 이들의 총합은 그만의 작가세계를 창조해 내었다. <초록물고기>는 갱스터와 느와르 장르를, <박하사탕>·<오아시스>·<밀양>·<시>는 드라마장르에 멜로와 사회성을 두텁게 입혔다. 그의 영화는 리얼리즘 방식을 통해 시대적 문제에 대한 핍진성과 진정성을 획득하였고, 여기서 더 나아가 모더니즘의 수사학까지 적용하여 관객의 성찰을 유도해 내었다. 그러므로 <버닝>이 새롭게 마음-게임(mind-game) 영화라는 스릴러 장르를 표방한 것, 그리고 전작들과 차별화된 서사(두 대립항의 변화된 역학관계)를 전개한 것은 이창동 작품세계의 변화에 대해 질문하게 한다. 이 논문은 이러한 변화의 근저에는 이창동 세계관의 변화가 전제되어 있다고 보고 먼저 이창동의 전작들과 <버닝>을 형식과 내용면에서 상세히 비교·분석하였다. 그 내용을 토대로 <버닝>의 영화적 목표는 결국 포스트모던한 현재의 한국, 그것의 재현이라는 이창동의 목표임을 읽어내었다. 이창동 세계관의 변화는 결코 모호하고 불확실한 현재에 대한 절망이나 포기라는 수동적 태도를 의미하는 것은 아니다. 오히려 그의 영화에 현재를 적극적으로 재현해냄으로써 현재에 대한 비판적 인식과 더불어 미래에 대한 성찰에 이르기를 요구하는 또 다른 그의 저항정신이다. 따라서 이창동의 작가정신은 스릴러 <버닝>에서도 여전히 유효하다. Lee Changdong’s recent film Burning shows dramatic changes in genre and narrative compared with his five previous works. This paper’s main interest is to find out the implication of these changes in terms of cinematic esthetics. Lee, an author-director, is one of the greatest figures in Korean Film Industry who worked in the period of “Post-Korean New Wave”. He made his debut with the film Green Fish in 1997 and has directed six films so far including his latest one Burning in 2018. He started his career as a writer. The main themes of his novels were always about his guilt and responsibility to the society and the same was true of his films which reflected his own tragic life experiences. He made himself outstanding by directing films which challenged the limits of literature and by weaving narratives which were not possible at all without his career as a writer. He was very consistent in conveying his messages of resistance to the violence and errors of our history and the system and people in them. He delved into the tumultuous process of modernization in Green Fish and the relationship of the system and a person in Oasis and Secret Sunshine in depth. His cinematic representation was realized with the acceptance of genre and the rhetorics of realism and modernism, which created his own artistic world. Green Fish is classified as gangster noir film and Peppermint Candy, Oasis, Secret Sunshine and Poetry as social drama. His films acquired verisimilitude and authenticity through realism. At the same time, his rhetorics of modernism led to the introspection of the audience. Thus, Lee’s acceptance of new genre(as mind-game film) and narrative in Burning aroused the question of Lee’s change in his views of the world. This essay analyzed the form and the content in Burning and his five previous works in detail assuming Lee’s view of the world has been changed. A new interpretation of his changes was made based on this analysis, which is his desire to express postmodern world of Korea in Burning. His attempt doesn’t necessarily mean his despair or abandonment of the present world, a world of vagueness and uncertainty. Rather, it’s legitimate to interpret his challenge as desperate effort to represent our present world in his film to voice his resistance and thus to lead the audience to another introspection of the present and the future. Lee Chang-dong’s auteurism has never been weakened, but intensified in Burning.

정보화 사회가 가속화됨에 따라 교육은 학교 교육 중심, 공급자 중심에서 평생교육 중심, 수요자 중심으로 바뀌고 있다. 또한, 평균 수명이 연장됨에 따라 생애에 걸친 인적 자원 개발, 권리라는 평생교육 개념에 새로운 방향을 요구하고 있다. 따라서 앞으로의 원격교육은 다양한 기능과 품질을 갖추고 어떠한 교수자나 학습자라도 쉽게 활용함으로써 가상학습 환경에서의 교수-학습을 지원할 수 있는 그러한 학습지원시스템의 출현이 필요하다.학점인정제도의 미흡, 뚜렷한 원격교육 추진목표의 부재, 체제적 원격교육의 부재, 경제적인 차이로 인한 계층간의 갈등 가속화, 학습자 관리의 문제, 학습 정보 관련 문제 등은 현 원격교육이 갖고 있는 고질적인 문제점들이다. 원격교육의 지속적인 발전을 위해서 기술적, 지적, 인적 요소의 균형 있는 개발과 육성에 힘써야 하며 이와 함께 행정적, 법적 제도화를 통한 지원이 수반되어야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 윈격교육의 실태를 파악하고 여러 가지 측면에서 기존의 문제점을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시함으로써 더 나은 교육 환경을 통해 평생교육의 활성화를 촉진한다.

뉴미디어와 역사의 상품화 : <튜더스>의 사례

This article is an attempt to examine the way The Tudors, a recent hit multinational TV mini-series, exploits and eventually reduces history to nothing but a pretext to project the fantasies and desires of the contemporary mass audience. The mechanism involves a few important trends in the current globalized mass culture: the post-modern condiditon called 'the end of temporality,' as closely related to generic traits and conventions of TV narratives, and the technical innovations creating various new venues in the name of 'new media'. In discussing TV narratives, it is important to note that they are essentially commercial products and that the material conditions of production such as funding, distribution and program formats heavily influence the narrative content itself. The Tudors adopted a marketing strategy different from the usual network TV shows; it was first premiered on a membership-based cable channel and then got distributed through new venues such as the Internet and IPTV, while reaping considerable revenue from DVD sales. Its funding and production also involved multinational capital and talents. By means of the new media, The Tudors manages to get around the censorship that defines the network TV programs, notoriously generous on violence but very strict on sexual content. Under the circumstances, it is noteworthy that The Tudors marked nostalgia and pornography as its major selling points to transend all localities and nationalities. The pornographic visual of The Tudors eventually reduces every complex thematic struggle of the early modern England into one general erotic power play. The Tudors represents history as a parallel universe devoid of time and change, charged only with replete sex drive, projecting the 21th century obsession of eternal youth and beauty. History in The Tudors is a spatialized matrix of the present, myth rather that history, all the more problematic for its naked fictionality.

식물 생장 촉진 진균에 의한 담배의 생장 촉진과 뿌리 발달

식물생장촉진 미생물은 식물 뿌리에 영양을 원활하게 공급하거나 휘발성 유기화합물(Volatile Organic Compound, VOC)를 이용하여 식물의 내재 인자와 상호작용을 통해 생장을 촉진한다. 본 연구에서는 식물 생장 촉진 진균 UOS의 담배에서의 생장 촉진 효과를 평가하고, 계통발생학적 분석을 통해 동정하였다. 또한, UOS의 식물 생장 촉진 인자를 탐색하고자 Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) 분석을 통해 UOS의 VOCs를 확인하였다. UOS를 처리한 담배는 무처리구에 비해서 3.8배의 생중량이 증가하였고, I-plate를 이용한 분리된 공간에서는 UOS처리구가 무처리에 비해 생중량이 4.2배 증가하였다. 또한, UOS 처리구의 식물은 주근의 길이가 약2배 짧아지고 측근의 수가 약2배 증가하였다. UOS은 포자 및 균사 형태와 Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 유전자 염기서열을 통하여 Phoma sp.으로 동정되었으며, 이들은 GC-MS분석을 통해 UOS는 hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane (D3)라는 VOC를 갖고 있는 것이 밝혀졌다. 이 결과들은 Phoma sp.의 진균 UOS가 VOC물질인 D3을 통해서 간접적으로 식물 생장 촉진 및 뿌리 발달에 영향을 미치는 것을 나타낸다. UOS와 그의 VOC인 D3의 활용은 농업에서 생장량 증대에 기여할 것으로 판단된다. Plant growth-promoting microorganisms promote plant growth by supplying nutrients to roots and interacting with the intrinsic factors in plants through volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In this study, we evaluated the effect of UOS, plant growth-promoting fungi (PGPF) isolated from previous study, on the growth of Nicotiana tabacum L. var Xanthi nc. Phylogenetic analysis and GC-MS were used to identify the fungal species and the VOCs emitted by the UOS, respectively. The fresh weight of UOS-treated Nicotiana tabacum L. was 3.8 and 4.2-fold higher than that of the control groups grown in vertical and I-plates, respectively. Moreover, in the UOS-treated plants, the length of the primary root was half and the number of lateral roots were twice compared to those in control plants. The UOS was identified as Phoma sp. by studying spore and mycelial morphology and using phylogenetic analysis. GC-MS revealed that the VOC emitted by the UOS was hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane (D3). These results suggest that the UOS of Phoma sp. influences plant growth and root development through D3. We expect this UOS and its VOC, D3 to be utilized in the future to increase growth and enhance yield for other plants.

차량 관리를 위한 RFID 시스템

지능형 교통 시스템(ITS:Intelligent Transportation Systems)은 점점 가속화되고 있는 정보화 사회에 알맞는 신속, 안전, 쾌적한 차세대 교통체계를 구현하는데 그 목적을 두고 있으며, ITS 서비스 중에서 ATMS(Advanced Traffic Management System)는 도로상에 차량의 특성, 속도 등의 교통 정보를 감지할 수 있는 시스템을 설치하여 교통 상황을 실시간으로 분석하고, 이를 토대로 최적 신호 체계를 이루고, 동시에 여행시간 측정과 교통사고 파악 및 과적 단속 등의 업무를 자동화하는 것이다. 이와 같이 ITS에서는 차량의 흐름 정보 및 차량의 등록정보 등을 수집하여 원활한 교통흐름이 되도록 자료를 수집하는 것은 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 차량의 정보를 수집하는 시스템으로 RFID시스템을 제안한다. The ITS(intelligent transportation systems) purpose to realizing transportation system speediness, safety, comfortable next generation in information society that is accelerating gradually. In ITS service, ATMS analyzes traffic conditions by real-time to install system that can sense traffic information of the vehicles characteristic, speed and etc at road. This with base, make optimum traffic signal system, and simultaneously to automating business of travel time measurement, traffic accident verification and excessive loading control etc. It is required that, ITS collects information of a car by reason of smooth traffic understanding like the top. Therefore, in this paper, propose RFID system for system that collect information of vehicles.

발달장애인이 인식하는 괜찮은 일자리 유형에 관한 연구

This study applied Q-methodology to analyze the types of perception of decent works by persons with developmental disability and investigated the characteristics of each type. First of all, 23 Qsamples were selected from 125 Qcollection groups collected through document studies and in-depth interview, and with 30 persons with developmental disability as target, Q classification was carried out. As a result of the investigation, types of perception of decent works by persons with developmental disability were found to be total of 4 types. Type 1 is ‘rights base guaranteed type’, and the works where workers are safe and convenient and basic rights are guaranteed and the works providing integrated work environment that can expect individual growth were recognized as decent works. Type 2 is ‘individual satisfaction pursuing type’, and the works with convenient travel to/from the work, working with joy and the works that you can learn new things and pursue your convenience and satisfaction were recognized as decent works. Type 3 is ‘performance-oriented type’, and the works followed by adequate compensation for the outcome and the works that can have positive influence on others or the country were recognized as decent works. Type 4 is ‘interrelationship accompanied type’, and the works that are helpful for others and the relationship with close people are respected, rather than work environment or compensation, were recognized as decent works. Lastly, based on such characteristics of each type, implication required for creating decent works for persons with developmental disability was presented. This study result presents the data on decent works directly by persons with developmental disability, so it can be used as basic data for detail discussion on the quality of employment and to establish effective support plan. 본 연구는 Q방법론을 활용하여 발달장애인들의 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 인식유형과 유형별 특성을 분석하였다. 우선 문헌조사와 심층면접을 통해 125개의 Q모집단을 수집하고, 23개의 Q표본을 선정하여 발달장애인 30명을 대상으로 Q분류를 진행하였다. 조사결과, 발달장애인의 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 인식유형은 총 4가지로 나타났다. 유형 1은 ‘권리 기반 보장형’으로 개인의 성장을 기대할 수 있는 통합적 근로 환경에서 근로자의 안전과 기본적 권리가 보장되는 일을 괜찮은 일자리로 인식하였다. 유형 2는 ‘개인 만족 추구형’으로 출퇴근 등이 편리하며, 즐겁게 일할 수 있고, 새로운 것을 배울 수 있는 자신의 편의와 만족을 추구할 수 있는 일을 괜찮은 일자리로 인식하였다. 유형 3은 ‘성과 중심 지향형’으로 일의 성과에 적절한 보상이 따르고, 타인 또는 국가의 이익에 기여할 수 있는 일을 괜찮은 일자리라고 인식하였다. 유형 4는 ‘상호 관계 수반형’으로 근로 환경과 보상보다는 근로자 개인과 타인이 서로 도움이 되는 관계를 형성할 수 있는 일을 괜찮은 일자리로 인식하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 유형별 특성을 기반으로 발달장애인의 괜찮은 일자리 창출에 필요한 함의를 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 발달장애인 당사자가 인식하는 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 자료를 제시하고 있어, 고용의 질에 대한 실효성 있는 논의와 지원방안을 수립하는 데 필요한 기초자료가 될 것이다.

본 논문에서는 기존의 full color LED 전광판 영상 처리 방식을 개선시켜서 고화질의 대형 TV나 LCD와 같은 선명한 화질의 재현이 가능하고 경제적인 가격으로 구현할 수 있는 효율적인 구동 제어기술에 대하여 연구 하였다. 기존의 영상 전송 방식과는 다른 새로운 기술로 영상을 구동 제어함에 따라서, 영상처리 기능을 더욱 효율적으로 보강할 수 있고 자동 또는 수동으로 contrast, bright, tint, color, 감마보정 등의 영상 변환처리 조절이 가능하므로, 더욱 선명한 표출구동의 영상제어가 가능한 full color 전광판의 획기적인 영상 구동 처리기술을 제안하였다.
