Heat pipe can be utilized in many ways such as a heat transfer device in heat recovery system, heat exchanger and stabilizer temperature of electronics devices and solar collector. Especially, This study is aimed to research the thermal characteristics with the quantity of working fluid of grooved heat pipe for solar collector. The heat pipe used in this study has a rectangular grooved wick structure and the quantity of working fluid is charged in the heat pipe with 12㏄, 15㏄ and 18㏄, respectively. The effects of heat input, coolant temperature, tilt angle and charging quantity of heat pipe have been found. As a result from experiment, the thermal characteristics can be found according to the working fluid quantity of heat pipe for solar collector and the experimental results of charging quantity will be compared with those of analytical quantity.
TRNSYS를 이용한 태양열 온수 시스템의 열성능에 관한 해석적 연구

A solar water heating system with auxiliary heater was simulated using the TRNSYS. Simulations were performed for three different hot water load temperature(60,70,80℃) and for two types of daily hot water volumes(140㎏, 280㎏) and three types of storage tank volumes(200,300,400㎏). Three patterns of daily hot water consumption profile were used in the present study(continuous, morning and evening). The results show that the increase in solar fraction depends on the load profile and volume, temperature setting, as well as the storage tank volume. Hot water draw profile and volume have a large effect on the performance of the SDHWS, the continuous profile has the highest solar fraction. The annual solar fraction of the system, at the weather conditions of Jinju is , at best, approximately 83% at continuous load pattern, the 140㎏ of load volume, 400㎏ of tank volume and the 60 degree of load temperature.
