This experiment is performed to investigate the optimal charging quantity of working fluid of heat pipe with grooved wick in solar collector. The shape of groove is rectangle. The heat pipe used in solar collector is longer than any other heat pipe. So, the charging quantity of working fluid is very important factor to improve the performance. Working fluid of heat pipe is charged 9 ㏄ and 15 ㏄, respectively. these heat pipe are tested a㏄ording to various heat input, inclination angle and coolant temperature. At a result, With various charging quantity, We could estimate the influence of working fluid of heat pipe in solar collector and also find out the optimal charging quantity of working fluid.
