자동차(自動車) 폐촉매(廢觸媒)의 침출액(浸出液)으로부터 백금족(白金族) 금속(金屬)의 용매추출(溶媒抽出)

자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금족 금속의 분리를 위하여 용매추출에 대한 기초연구가 수행되었다. 추출제로 tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) 그리고 di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS)를 등유에 희석하여 사용하였다. 추출제의 종류 및 농도가 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐의 추출거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 세륨, 납, 철, 마그네슘 그리고 알루미늄 등 침출액에 존재하는 주요 금속불순물의 추출거동도 함께 조사하였다. TBP는 백금과 팔라듐, 그리고 TOA는 백금, 팔라듐, 로듐을 동시에 추출하였다. DHS 추출제인 SFI-6에 의한 용매추출 시 백금이 팔라듐과 함께 유기상으로 추출되었으나, SFI-6R은 팔라듐만 선택적으로 추출하였다. SFI-6R은 SFI-6에 비하여 팔라듐에 대한 선택성이 우수하였으나 추출속도가 느렸다. 추출제의 종류에 따라 백금족 금속과 함께 추출되는 금속불순물들이 달라지며 세정 또는 탈거공정에서 이들을 제거하여야 한다. 자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐을 분리하기 위하여 먼저 DHS 추출제인 SFI-6R를 사용하여 팔라듐을 분리한 다음 TBP 또는 TOA으로 백금을 추출하여 로듐과 분리하는 공정이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. The solvent extraction for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts has been studied. Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) and di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS) were used as extractants and kerosene as a diluent. The extraction behavior of platinum, palladium and rhodium has been investigated as functions of different kinds of extractants and their concentrations. In addition, the extraction behavior of the major metal impurities such as cerium, lead, iron, magnesium and aluminum has been investigated. Platinum and palladium were extracted with TBP. And platinum, palladium and rhodium were extracted with TOA. Platinum was co-extracted with palladium into the organic phase by solvent extraction using SFI-6 of DHS extractant, but only palladium was selectively extracted with SFI-6R. The selective extraction of palladium with SFI-6R was found better than that with SFI-6, but the kinetics of extraction with SFI-6R was found poor in comparison to SFI-6. The metal impurities extracted simultaneously during the extraction of platinum group metals should be removed in scrubbing and stripping processes. A suitable process has been proposed for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts. Initially palladium was extracted with SFI-6R, followed by the separation of platinum with TBP or TOA leaving rhodium in the raffinate.

Early Diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma on the Mandible: A Case Report

Burkitt 림프종은 소아에서 호발하는 악성 종양의 하나로 non-Hodgkin B 림프종의 한 형태이다. 매우 빠르게 증식하는 종양으로 구강 내에서 발생시 안면부 부종 및 이환 치아의 동요도와 변위, 치은의 발적 및 부종 등의 증상을 보인다. 본 증례는 5세 남환으로 왼쪽 하악부의 통증과 안면부 부종으로 개인병원에서 의뢰되었다. 왼쪽 하악골부터 관골까지 퍼진 안면부 부종을 보였으며 좌측 하악 유구치는 심한 충치가 없음에도 불구하고 중등도의 동요도를 보이고 타진에 양성 반응을 보였다. 방사선학적 소견으로는 좌측 하악 제2유구치와 제1영구치의 치조 백선 소실이 관찰 되었으며, 좌측 하악골에는 방사선 투과성의 골용해성 소견과 피질골의 파괴가 관찰되었다. 환아는 임상적, 방사선학적, 면역조직학적 검사를 바탕으로 Burkitt 림프종으로 진단되었고, 전신적인 검사와 항암 화학요법을 위해 본원 소아과로 의뢰되었다. 화학요법을 시작한 지 3개월만에 안면부 및 치은의 부종이 소실되었고, 치아의 동요도 및 위치도 정상으로 회복되었다. Burkitt 림프종으로 진단된 본 환아는 조기 진단과 집중적인 화학요법으로 좋은 예후를 보였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. Burkitt lymphoma (BL) is an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma found primarily in the pediatric population. In the oral cavity, this tumor can grow rapidly and often brings about facial swelling or development of an exophytic mass involving the jaws. A 5-year-old boy was referred for swelling and pain in the left mandibular area. The patient showed diffuse swelling on the left side of the mandible and firm-moderate tenderness upon palpation. An intraoral examination showed moderate mobility and sensitivity to percussion on the left primary first and second molars, without severe caries. A radiographic examination revealed complete loss of the lamina dura on the left primary second molar and permanent first molar. There was a radiolucent osteolytic lesion and destruction of the cortical bone of the left mandibular body. Based on the clinical, radiographic, and immunohistochemical findings, the patient was diagnosed with BL, and was referred to a pediatrician for systemic evaluation and intensive chemotherapy. Even before the completion of chemotherapy, the swelling resolved and the displaced teeth were relocated to a normal position. This patient showed a good prognosis due to prompt diagnosis and intensive chemotherapy. Early diagnosis and referral for treatment can prevent the development of BL.

세계화에 따른 경쟁의 심화는 국가의 개입여지는 축소됨과 동시에 지방이 경쟁단위로 노출됨에 따라 지역의 역할이 증대된다. 이러한 변화에 따라 지역산업정책의 여건을 분석하고 지역의 수요에 부응하기 위해 노력하는 것은 지역 선도 R&D 연구센터로 발전하고자 하는 대경권연구센터에 있어서 매우 의미있는 작업이 될 것이라 여겨진다. 따라서 최근 지역산업정책에 큰 변화를 가져온 두 가지 흐름인 5+2 광역경제권 선도산업과 첨단의료복합단지 조성사업과 더불어 기존 지역산업정책인 전략산업의 현황을 분석하고 대경권연구센터와 에트리 본원의 역할방향 및 시사하는 바를 논의하고자 한다.

한국땅거미 ( Atypus coreanus Kim. 1985 ) 전대그물의 화학적 정량분석

Spiders are easily distinguished from all other creatures by behavior of making webs. Among the web building spiders which depend largely on their webs to predation, Atypidae, four species in Korea, uses the purse web which is the most primitive one than other spider`s web in Korea. To analyze the chemical properties of the purse web, 30 ㎎ of Atypus coreanus` web was collected in Joan-myun, Namyangjoo-city, Kyunggi-do. As a result, the purse web of Atypus coreanus mostly consists of Glycine (5.3%), Glutamic acid (8. 26%) and Alanine (14. 17%). Especially the web of Atypus coreanus has more proportion of serine (9.28%), which plays an important role in intricacy, than that of orb webs used by Nephila clavata(4.84%) and Araneus ventricosus(4.84%).

이 글은 <遊關西錄> 소재 145제 165수의 시를 텍스트 삼아, 1457년 23살 김시습의 행적과 심경을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 김시습의 관서 유람 시기는 1458년으로 오인된 사례가 적지 않은데, <유관서록>에 등장하는 인물들을 고려하면 1457년으로 확정할 수 있다. 유람 여정은 이른 봄 洛河를 건너 송도와 평양 두 고도에서 한동안 머물다가 묘향산에 들어가 여름을 나고, 가을 초엽 묘향산을 나서는 것으로 이어졌다. <유관서록>은 이러한 시공간의 흐름에 따라 편집되어 있으며, 각 구간에 따라 심리와 미의식의 변화를 드러낸다. 멸망한 전대 왕조의 수도인 송도에서는 폐허에서의 허무를 체감했다. 신화적이며 낭만적인 도시 평양에서는 문명의 영화에 취했다. 묘향산에 들어가서는 하계를 내려다보며 흉금을 크게 틔우고, 그렇지 않을 때는 禪房에서 三昧에 들어 三生의 業緣을 끊어냈다. 이렇게 정돈된 마음으로 묘향산을 나선 뒤에는 승려로서의 정체성을 확고히 하는 동시에 유자들과 교유하면서, 한 지점에 머물지 않는 삶의 방식을 보였다. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the path and mood of 23-year-old Kim Si-seup(金時習) in 1457, by analyzing his poetical works < Yukwanseurok(遊關西錄) >. There are many cases that Kim Si-seup’s sightseeing time was mistaken for 1458. Considering the characters in < Yukwanseurok >, it can be confirmed in 1457. The trip was followed by crossing Nak River(洛河) in early spring, staying at Songdo(松都) and Pyongyang(平壤) for a while, entering Mt. Myohyang(妙香山) during summer, and leaving there in early autumn. < Yukwanseurok > is edited according to the flow of space-time, and each section represents psychological and aesthetic change of Kim Si-seup’s mind. In Songdo, the capital of the fallen dynasty, Kim Si-seup had an nihilistic experience. In Pyongyang, the mythical and romantic city, he felt the glory of civilization. In Mt. Myohyang, he looked down the world below and widened his heart. Otherwise, he entered into sam-mae(三昧) in Buddhist temple and cut the karma of three lifetimes. After leaving Mt. Myohyang with such an orderly mind, he solidified his identity as a monk. At the same time, while interacting with confucian scholars, he showed a way of life that was not limited to one point.
