This study was attempted to detect six benzimidazoles [thiabendazole(TBZ), oxfendazole (OFZ), mebendazole(MBZ), flubendazole(FLBZ), albendazole(ABZ), and febendazole(FBZ)] in eggs using high performance liquid chromatography(I-TPLC) with photodiode array detector (DAD) simultaneously. The eluates were determined by HPLC on a waters X-Terra tm C18 reverse-phase column(4.6 X 250 run, 5um) with DAD at 295nm. The mobile phase was 0.04M ammonium phosphate(pH 7.5)! ACN(62.28 v/v) run isocratically. The calibration curves were linear(r>0.999) for six benzimidazoles. Average recovery rate from eggs were 94.54% for TBZ, 97,71% for OFZ, 88.82% for MBZ. 93.71% for FLBZ, 78.61% for ABZ, and 75.09% for FBZ, respectively. The limits of detection and quantification were 2.27ppb, 3.88 for TBZ, 9.34ppb, 15.6lppb for OFZ, 28.53ppb, 45.l5ppb for MBZ, 27.39ppb, 40.96ppb for FBZ, 8.6lppb, 13.96ppb for ABZ and 12.79ppb, 22.34ppb for FBZ, respectively.
세종지역 유통 식육 중 벤지미다졸계 구충제 잔류실태 조사

Benzimidazole is an widely used anthelmintics in livestock clinics. The aim of present study was to investigate benzimidazole residues in the meat in Sejong City. A total of 338 samples of meat(beef 287, pork 37, chicken 14) were selected from the laboratory meat(Korean beef genetic test, hygiene test) supplied to school in Sejong City. Representative benzimidazole class drug such as thiabendazole, 2-amino albendazole sulfone, fenbendazole, oxfendazole, and oxfendazole sulfone were monitored in samples by using lc-ms/ms and the analysis was preformed based on the Korea Food Code guideline. Limit of quantitation (LOQ) was ranged from 0.56 to 3.02 ppb for target drugs and the accuracy was within the acceptance criteria. Among the sample analyzed only one case, the pork meat was found to have drug levels that exceed LOQ. However, the overall residue concentration was 2.17 ppb, which was lower than the maximum residue levels (100 ppb).

This survey is performed for the vector mosquitoes including of Japanese encephalitis, Malaria and West niles virus. Black light traps were installed in 5 sites (Sejong lake, Janggun-myeon, Jeonui-myeon, Yeongi-myeon, Bukang-myeon). Mosquitoes were collected twice every week from five collection sites using a black light trap from May to September. A total of 10 species belonging to 4 genera, 14,234 female mosquitoes were collected and identified as vector mosquitoes. Among ten mosquito species, Culex pipiens complex was the most commonly mosquitoes (6,163 individuals, 43.3%). The greatest number of Culex pipiens pallens was trapped in the first week of July. A total of 115 pools from 14,234 mosquitoes were prepared according to their species, collection date and site. We have screened infection of virus in mosquitoes. All of virus were not detected in mosquitoes. Our findings confirm that population and first appearance time of vectors mosquitoes and virus infection in Sejong city.
세종지역 유통 식육의 플루오로퀴놀론계 항생제 잔류 연구

This study describes an analytical method based on LC-MS/MS for the quantitation of 5 fluoroquinolones (Enrofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Marbofloxacin, Norfloxacin and Danofloxacin) in meat, and was applied to 230 meat samples for validation. Quantitation was performed based on a matrixmatched calibration to compensate for the matrix effect on the electrospray ionization. Good linear calibrations (R<sup>2</sup>≥0.998) were obtained for all fluoroquinolones at 6 concentrations of 1∼50 mg/kg. Satisfied recoveries of all fluoroquinolones were demonstrated in spiked meat at three levels from 10 to 50 mg/kg. The recoveries ranged between 75.8∼99.2% in beef, 80.1∼99.6% in pork and 72.2∼ 99.8% in chicken, respectively. The limits of quantitation (LOQs) for fluoroquinolones ranged from 0.7 to 3.2 mg/kg. We also monitored fluoroquinolones residue in the sample (beef 107, pork 71, chicken 52) using LC-MS/MS. Residues of fluoroquinolones which exceeded maximum residue limits (MRL) were not exceed in any of the 230 samples.

A simultaneous and rapid method for determination of bipyridylium herbicides, paraquat dichloride and diquat dibromide have been developed in meat using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) at UV 255/310nm. It is possible to detect effectively below maximal residue levels (MRL) set in CODEX and Korea with little amount of sample. Based on the collaborative studies in 3 laboratories, the mean of recovery within laboratory repeatability were 108.7%, 93.5% and 105.7%, respectively and the coefficient of variation were 6.9%, 9.8% and 12.1% in paraquat analysis. In case of diquat analysis, the mean of recovery were 86.3%, 87.0% and 86.3%, respectively and the coefficient of variation were 13.2%, 8.9% and 7.6%, respectively of which results would be acceptable to recommended guideline of CODEX. In addition, the coefficient of variation between laboratory repeatability were 7.9% and 9.7% in paraquat and diquat, respectively which would be also acceptable to the guideline of CODEX. In conclusion, the present method which would be equivalent to an official method of analysis makes feasible both for qualified determination in meat and for precise diagnosis of intoxification caused by paraquat and diquat, bipyridylium herbicides.

A determination method for anionic surfactants residue in raw milk was established using methylene blue method. The residue in raw milk was first precipitated with acetonitril, seperated by centrifugation, concentrated by evaporation of supernatant, dissolved with distilled water, allowed to complex formation by adding the methylene blue and extracted with chloroform. The final was analysed and quantified by spectrophotometry. Based on the collaborative studies in 3 laboratories after spiking 5 to 20 ppm of standard solution, the mean of recovery rate within laboratory repeatability were 85.9%, 104.6% and 94.9%, respectively and the coefficient of variation were 9.3%, 9.8% and 6.4%. In addition, the coefficient of variation between laboratory repeatability was 16.1% which would be acceptable to the recommended guideline of CODEX. In conclusion, the present method makes feasibilities for quantified and qualified determination of anionic surfactants residue in raw milk.
