Hardness, tensile properties and impact toughness of 0.07C-1.4Mn-0.08Nb and 0.07C-1.4Mn-0.09V steels, which had been cold rolled by different degrees, were studied after aging treatment at 600℃ for varying period of times. By increasing aging times, there appeared two peaks of hardness values or strength. Aging time, which caused the hardness peaks, were independent of cold rolling degree and were constant for the same steel. When compared at the same hardness level, ductility and impact Goughness of the samples of secondary hardness peak were much better than that of the samples of primary hardness peak. Test results of mechanical properties are discussed in relation with the precipitation particle size and its distribution, coherency of the particles, and recrystallization.

Multimedia has created a system environment that needs a combination of diverse peripherals, faster I/O, and easier configuration. The sheer volume of data one can expect with multimedia hardware and applications storage systems of higher capacity and faster data transfer rate. Unlike the magneto-optical(MO)disk technology which uses bias magnetic field in writing, both the reading and the writing in the phase change (PC) technology are performed only by laser light. In PC optical media, an active layer is reversibly converted between amorphous state and crystalline state by changing irradiation conditions of focused laser beam. Thus, as compared with MO disk, the PC disk has such great advantages that signals can be reproduced by change of reflectance of laser beams in the same manner as the compact disc. The reflectivity of a phase-change spot can be altered in a single pass under the head only through modulation of laser power. The principles and the current status of phase-change optical recording media combined with possible applications are discussed in the present article.

디지탈 비디오 디스크의 약어로 지칭되는 DVD는 현대 과학이 이루어낸 레이저 광에 의한 정보의 기록과 재생을 한층 승화시킨 차세대 package형 광 기록 매체이다. 앞으로 이 제품군은 기존에 분리되어 있던 가전과 컴퓨터의 응용분야를 이어주는 교량역할을 할 새로운 개념의 상품으로 기대된다. 본 고에서는 DVD의 기술적 배경 및 이의 구현을 위해 활용된 요소기술, 그리고 미래기술로의 흐름에 관해 소개고자 한다.

Delamination behavior in tensile specimen of cold rolled 0.07C-1.4Mn-0.08Nb steel was studied after aging treatment at 600℃. By increasing aging time the degree of delamination increased at first and then decreased gradually. The susceptibility of delamination was strongly related withe the distribution of carbide at the elongated ferrite grain boundaries. Microstructural characteristics of the samples which had been aged to bring about the maximum degree of delamination, were filmy structure of carbides at the elongated ferrite grain boundaries. These filmy structure of carbide was changed into separate spheroidal structure by increasing the aging time further more, and they were distributed at or near grain boundaries. Additionally, recrystallization by the prolonged aging time had helped also decreasing the delamination. By applying tensile stress, many of the micro-cracks had occurred at the interface of ferrite grains and carbides, along ferrite grain boundaries, and then connecting these micro-cracks, delamination crack had propagated.
Gravure롤 코팅방식에서 비산도료에 의한 비디오 신호의 dropouts

Dropouts in magnetic media are a primary quality deficiency which is detrimental to magnetic signal quality and thus the major impediment to error-free recording, especially in high density digital recorders. The specific form of defects and causes found to be responsible for signal dropouts occurring in magnetic tape were studied. Dropout occurred when the RF signal falls to low level due to the various types of surface defects. However, the fall in the level of the RF signal in gravure roll coated tapes was most often caused by foreign particles adhering to the magnetic tape. It was also shown from the present study that scattered particles trapped under the tape surface or put on the top can lift it as it crosses the head, creating a spherical tent shaped defect and causing a temporary signal drop. Dropout producing substances were identified through optical and microchemical analyses. The results were correlated with measured electrical signal losses combined with analytical microscopy to clarify source identification of defects.

The purpose of this study is to offer a basic reference for improving the University town into a desirable living, environment analyzing living condition of students around Chonbuk University. Since most of the Multi-Family housing which were designed and constructed in consideration for provider are offered to students without the proper consent for users, the students. To the conclusion, through the interview a questionnaire by understanding the behavior and the actual condition of students' living.
