The objective of this study was to compile measured nutrient load data from paddy fields and pollutant load characteristics from paddy fields considered using compiled nutrient load data in the South Korea. For study period, statistical analyses with a variety of parameters(soil, fertilizer, hydrology factors) revealed that T-N load from paddy was significantly correlated with inflow amount(rainfall and irrigation amount). However, T-P load from paddy showed low correlation with parameters. Study results indicate that T-N load from paddy could be controlled by water management practices.

Missing data could be estimated by interpolation using observed data. Linear, flow weighted linear, and Lagrangina interpolation metehds were tested to the estimation of missing pollutant concentrations from paddy fields. The accuracy of the each method was evaluated by using field data collected from 2004 to 2007 in Hampyung site within Yeongsan river basin. Flow weighted linear interpolation showed the best results among three methods while Lagrangina interpolation methods found to be inaccurate.
